Keiara:I didn't do anything....please... I have no home!

Keiara:(walks out of shelter)...where am I gonna go....

Passerby 1:Look, it's that thing....

Passerby 2: ewww....what is that

I wish I could go back home...but maybe one day Gladiator , my big sis...will come back and we'll go find momma together.....I wonder when I'll see those lights again...it was a scary time....everyone was running around and screaming while the big lights went kaboom!!!....I wonder where everyone must be....maybe they're playing hide and seek with me!.....

*Flashback*

Citizen 1:uhhhhhhh?!!!

Crowd:(screams)

Cha-yos.. that's what momma called it.... I turned around and watched as the bad people took everyone and the red lights went over everything...and everyone...momma said it was going to be ok...she said the red lights would stop....but she was crying....the red lights were making people into dust and their homes too ....the red light made Papa into dust ...and big sis ...but momma said we were all just playing a game...she said I would be the winner .... I just had to run...and then she was dust...and I ran....and ran...and ran ... I didn't stop....the bad people tried to catch me....but they couldn't... I always listened to momma after that day... I never stopped running..... I saw Papa's old rocket and hid there....but then the bad people were making all the rockets "take-off".....and then I was in space....I saw a really pretty giant floating ball....it was blue and green...and a little Brown....it had a smaller grey ball floating next to it...I wanted to go there....the rocket took me to the green and blue ball....but the *en-gin"....started smoking and then everything was black.... I woke up in a pile of the broken rocket pieces....and in a field....just like back home ,a field with tall trees ... my back was hurting really bad and I had red water coming from my tummy.... it hurt, so much...everywhere... so I just laid down on the brown dirt and closed my eyes....when I woke up the bright yellow ball in the sky was gone …and now I could see the grey one....it was really pretty....and it was dark.....but there was a ton of fireflies in the dark sky...I started walking again and I couldn't see anything so I listened to what momma said ....and ran....at least there wasn't any red lights here....

Keiara:Red lights .... that's what I used to call fire....

I carried on walking until I saw a town...on the sign it said...Arcadia....there were some people from back home....actually most of them were here ...with their families....but...where was my family?...

Aaliyah:Hey Keiara!....

Keiara:Hello... why are you all here?

Aaliyah:What do you mean....the soldiers took all the bad people with the pink Glitch marks and turned them to dust ....

Keiara:pink Glitch marks don't make someone bad....they were bad people ...not soldiers...

Lady:Aaliyah ....where are you?...(calls out and walks towards them)… K-Keiara.... you...your alive....get inside...

I followed them inside and that old hag made me go in the basement...

Keiara:why are you taking me here?

Lady:hopefully none of the ordinary people or Heroes saw you....if the villains did...they wouldn't say anything...but then again... they could...but ...no I'm sure they wouldn't....

Gee.... I guess what everyone said about Aaliyah's mother was true...she really doesn't know how to keep quiet...

Keiara: what's going-(alarm sounds)

Lady:oh heavens!…you must go....at once!

Keiara:why.....where are you going?

Lady:(kneels down)...listen Keiara....you have a very special gift.... you're a Glitch...and not just a normal one like the rest of our people...you have a pink Glitch mark...you can have as much power as you want...(sirens)...

Keiara:where are you going(looks outside) what's happening -....

Just like back home....but it was different...the ... Heroes…the ones that were meant to save us....were killing my people...almost every Glitch was gone... I watched my best friends disappear...along with their parents, grandparents.....everyone.…the only ones left were me and Aaliyah's mother...

Lady:Keiara, you must never let anyone see your powers... ok

Lady:I hope I see you again ....one day... goodbye...(runs out into the street)...hey I'm over here!

I hid and silently watched as Aaliyah's mother disappeared...the red water seemed to be pouring from every part of her body...it was then that I realized that...we weren't playing hide and seek were we.....my heart started beating fast and my breathing raised....my parents....my sister....my people.... were all ...gone....

Keiara:why was I so naive... I could've saved them... but instead... I was a coward….and I hid...that was the day that I felt truly alone...

From that day on I had to do what "OaRThh" people call EARNING MY KEEP....I don't know exactly what it means ..but I'm learning...I think it means that after everyone else scrubs the floors...I have to do it twice as hard...and when they Polish mirrors...I have to make them sparkle...
