“Ace I told you I’m not good at painting,it’s just not in me to.” Ash complained but continues to dutifully color the white roses red with a brush. “It’s literally just coloring stop whining Ash.” Ace retorted while lazily dipping his brush in the paint can. Deuce rolled his eyes at the scene and didn’t comment,not wanting to be involved. Suddenly there was a clicking noise from the end of the rose maze. An intimidating figure loomed over them,the trio froze and slowly raised their heads,subtly shaking. “Are you guys done bickering?” A cold voice demanded, Riddle the stern,hot headed house warden of heartslaybul glared at them. “Heh we’re just finishing here house warden we’ll be done in no time,right guys?” Ace forced out a smile that looked worse than crying. Ash and Deuce nod in sync,not speaking. “Is that so? Then why have you only done half of this maze? I gave you two hours,with three people working I was expecting it to be much quicker.” Riddle suddenly exploded with the last sentence sounding more like a roar. Ash lets out an undignified squeak and hides behind the other two. He peeks out and looks at Riddle pitifully,Riddle let out an exasperated sigh,”Ash you’re free to go.” Ace immediately started to protest,”Hey! Thats not fair,why does he get to go while we have to work?” “Because I said so now get back to work,both of you.” Riddle commanded and beckoned for Ash to follow him. Ash quickly sets his paintbrush down and hurried to Riddle’s side. “Where are we supposed to go.” Ash questioned meekly. “Just follow me,I’ll tell you on the way.” Riddle answered while walking. Ash nodded silently and tried to keep up with his pace,Riddle noticed and slowly down slightly. Ash smiled gratefully and whispered a quiet thanks. Before Ash could question him again, Riddle started,”I need your help with an unbirthday party. Trey is sick and none of us can bake. I already invited the professors so it’ll be rude to postpone it. I was hoping you could bake for the party.” Ash stood there stunned for a few seconds and then nodded vigorously. Riddle finally stopped and shot him a look of gratitude,”Thank you Ash I’ll be sure to reward you.” Ash’s eyes lit up and asked carefully,Anything? How about a favor?” Riddle nodded and resumed walking much to Ash’s dismay. Ash starts daydreaming about all the desserts he would bake. “Umm,whats the theme for the uhh event?” Ash asked awkwardly. “Unbirthday party,” Riddle corrected,”The theme this time is the Victorian era due to Headmaster Crowley’s suggestion.” “I never tried to make any Victorian era desserts or food. This will be sooo fun.” Ash’s eyes lit up with excitement. “I didnt expect you to be so happy about this,” Riddle mused. Ash blushes slightly and looks away,flustered. His ears turning a light shade of red.
