Again, this is not a story, just some interesting chapters as drafts which will be turned into a story when I get the ideas.
Rasha & Vaayu
I woke with the morning light creeping through my bedroom window, blinding me a little there.
I clenched my eyes shut and snuggled into the arms of the man sleeping right besides me.
Rasha
Mmh... Did you pull off the drapes last night?
Anay
Mmh... I don't remember. Maybe I did for the um- natural air.
Anay replied, and hugged me back and we cuddled like that. I rest my head over his chest, trying to find comfort in his arms from all the blinding sunlight, hurting my eyes.
Both of us were still not awake and were halfway asleep, but the sunlight had started to irritate my skin now, so I whispered to Anay without opening my eyes.
Rasha
Could you go and pull the drapes back down, please?
He hummed moving a little in his sleep and just kissed my forehead without making a move.
He was still sleepy. I got out of his arms and asked him strongly this time.
He shot his eyes open irritated a bit and I made my puppy face at him.
Anay
Ugh! You're the worst!
He rolled his eyes finally getting out of the sheets, standing up. He went towards the window and closed the curtains back on.
Rasha
And you're the best baby!
I chirped sending a flying kiss his way and hugging the pillow, and slept back in bed peacefully.
Anay
Wow. How is this fair? You woke me up, and now you're sleeping so soundly?
He said and jumped over on the bed, pressing my body under his. I looked at him a little taken by, but he still held me from my waist and kissed me.
Rasha
Anay, what are you doing?
I whispered slowly after we broke away the kiss.
Anay
It's your fault that you woke me up. Now pay for it.
He said and leaned into the crook of my shoulder to kiss me there.
I moaned surrendering myself into him as he slowly slid my top off of my body and started to touch every inch of my skin.
His cold hands ran through my body making me shiver and even more submissive to all his touches.
His wet lips ticked down my skin giving me all kinds of weird sensations
Anay
I love you so much Rasha. Happy Birthday.
I smiled when he wished me. I almost forgot that I turned twenty-six today.
I replied sealing this with a deep passionate kiss the taste of which would perhaps linger for the entire day ahead on both our tongues.
Vaayu was seated at a dark lit bar drinking his bear. He had his cellphone in his hand and his screen contained the picture of Rasha on it.
Vaayu had had a lot to drink tonight, and he was still very, very drunk
Vaayu
Happy Birthday, Rasha
He said in a drunken voice and smiled.
Vaayu
I miss you so damn much. I wish you were here, right now.
He sighed and gulped down another peg. As soon as he was finished and looked up from the bar, he spotted someone he never thought he would on the dance floor.
She was there, for real. Dancing in the arms of another guy happily, perhaps celebrating her twenty sixth birthday tonight.
Hallucination
The amount of glee that filled me when I saw her there dancing alive and happily was beyond anyone's imagination.
The person she was dancing with did not make me happy.
She had been away for two fucking years and watching her with someone else after that long made me question that man's identity.
Dheeraj
Dude, don't drink so much. You've had enough for the day. Let's just stop! I thought you were visiting London to meet me and my wife.
Dheeraj said snatching away the glass from my hand and sighed, forwarding me a lime juice instead.
Dheeraj
I know it's Rasha's birthday today and that's killing you, but she's dead, and you've got to let it go. It's been two years Vaayu!
Vaayu
*frowns with the stinging pain in his head**
Yeah. Two years ago, we all saw her dead body that we received from the lake where her cab fell down. I buried her with my own hands.
So, why could I still see her there, dancing in that man's arms?!
Maybe my drunken mind was trying to play some tricks with me and I wouldn't hallucinate her face when I got a little sober.
Dheeraj
Come on, man! You're here to celebrate the beginning of my married life.
I scoffed and raised my toast to him with the lime juice I had in my hand
Vaayu
Cheers! To you and Natasha
Dheeraj
You, too, get married soon. I'm tired of watching you mourning over someone who wasn't even yours.
I glared at him as soon as he said that.
Dheeraj
What? She was your best friend's girl, and we all know that.
I grit my jaw after hearing him say that. Nobody, nobody ever said that to me! I immediately thumped my drink against the bar counter and grabbed him from his collar.
Vaayu
Don't you ever repeat that sentence out of your mouth. Ever again!
Dheeraj
Alright man. I was just- Okay, I'm sorry, just let go.
He said raising both his hands up in the air, surrendering to me.
Vaayu
She never loved him, but she did love me. Once.
I said going back in the lanes of my memories where I could see her laughing and playing guitar, singing songs for me in my arms.
I closed my eyes and I could watch her smile, her laughter, her gorgeous face and the way she looked at me, so much in love.
I opened my eyes once again and gulped the entire lime juice that was left in my glass. I slid my glass over the counter and once again turned my gaze to look at the crowd.
I could still see her there, dancing with that man. This time I didn't think my mind was playing tricks on me.
I immediately called for Dheeraj's attention and asked him to look there, see and tell me if he could see what I was seeing there.
Vaayu
Dheeraj, do you see someone familiar over there?
Dheeraj followed his gaze to where I was pointing and got stunned.
By the look on his face I could tell he could see Rasha too.
Dheeraj
She isn't dead? But didn't we bury her? How is that even pos-?
Vaayu
So I wasn't hallucinating tonight?
This time I picked up the glass of whiskey which was meant for Dheeraj and gulped it down my throat.
Vaayu
Do me a favour Dheeraj. Find out everything there is to know about Rasha. She ain't gonna see the morning of her twenty sixth birthday in this city anymore.
