At a winter night, I got up with a jolt

I felt it choked me, spreading coldness in my throat.....

The throbbing pain sent shivers down my spine , as realisation struck me with the untold truth in the midst of my mind.......

The broken lie caught me offguard, leaving me in distort stealing my calm.......

Then one day you came like a sun, lighting my dark night....changing my whole life.......

I still remember the summer after the winter because that's when I saw him for the first time.

It was just a snap second when I saw him with that old lady laughing merrily and feeding the birds in the park. It was just a vague moment but I still remember it like it was just yesterday.

I thought we never would cross paths as someone as gloomy as me had no luck in finding amazing people again.

Little did I knew that life would take such a turn that it'd flip my world upside down in just some months.He transferred to our school and was even my classmate. What plain luck to bump into him like this and having classes with him around haha. I think I'd go mad at this rate with the sudden change in my luck, such serendipity.

That lad was something else...he would never listen to what people said and had his head in the clouds for the whole day.

I tried my best to keep him away from my gloomy life as much as possible but he was like a stubborn child whom u can't handle unless you're a domineering mother.

I never believed in materialistic or emotional things like love, hate , jealousy but being with him made me experience it little by little.

I want to love him but also push him away from me. Just looking at his stupid smile made my day. Oh god how can someone be so dumb that they could smile so easily to even the people who made fun of him.

I never tried to hold onto anything since I was young, I gave it up as soon as I was asked to. But for once I wanted to be selfish and hold onto him, smile at him, wanting him to only smile for me and care for me. As I have time to spare and have zero people around me I can observe and tell how dumb he is. It annoys me when he puts on an even dumber expression when everything is so obvious. He is just so annoying that he lets people take advantage of his personality and yet he has this naïve expression on. Ugh such a pain in the a**.

I was always alone but why did he have to entangle himself with me for no particular reason. People always thought I was some kinda proud freak who never bothered about anyone else. Well that's kinda half true but I was still the outcast. Like I cared but what's the deal with him can't he let me be ugh such an annoying son of a b**tch.

Eli Dawsons p.o.v~

"OMFG I'm late again dad is gonna kill me at this rate. Arghhhhh screw alarm clocks and punctuality."

How annoying of dad to make me run errand early in the morning when its weekend....agggghhhhhh...

Whoa probably if I go through the park it'd be faster...lets go I can make it on time.

Huff huff huff.... I'm getting late argh, I should make a run or should I just keep this pace???? I don't know I don't wanna waste any more energy of mine than required..

"Ahhh who the heck....!!!"(**Bumps into a random person all of a sudden)

Random** person : Ahhh I'm sorry I am running late, sorry again.

"Wow great he didn't even offer a hand for me to get up."

And what great luck now all the groceries are on the floor now, such misfortune...Tch.

Ahhh last one to pick up~

(Eli stood there in awe when he saw a handsome guy beside the lake sitting and laughing merrily with the grandma feeding the birds....That handsome guy seemed to have caught his eye and built some kinda unknown interest in his mind)

Tch....stop it, just stop it, I can't be thinking of this.... he's just a bit handsome and pleasing to one's eyes but also so annoying with that stupid grin of his....(there's a new feeling that Eli felt for the first time in his life, a sudden urge to go and talk to thay guy)

Wait did I forget something, I feel like I was busy just now...

(Suddenly his phone buzzes... it's a call from his dad, that is when he realises that he's gotta flew asap before his father's angry outburst)

Eli : "Oh dad, I'm sorry I was running late because I was up yesterday night doing my school assignment. I was goin-ahhhhh"

*Suddenly his dad pulls his ears when he enters their family house*

Eli's dad : Damn bastard you dare to give me the excuse of school work. Do you think I was born yesterday to not know how my son is. You'd had completed it earlier on and were probably up all night to play games again.

Eli : Uhhh Dad..that's uhhh....ugh......whatever!! You already guessed it, so be it..yeah I overslept and then I was running here and was almost on time when someone knocked into me -(Eli suddenly went silent while talking and was lost in thought, thinking of that guy feeding those birds beside the lake)

(Eli's dad read his face and could tell something was on his mind and broke the ice trying to change the topic)

Eli's dad : Don't give me excuses, now just go and help your mom out. Take it as a punishment for coming home late for the family get together.

Eli's mom : Honey, Eli got back just now. He visits rarely just let him be. Its not like I'm preparing for some kinda feast. Its just our family get together why be so serious. You shouldn't be so strict with our pumkin.

(Eli's mom calls him pumpkin since young)

Eli : Argh mom , not that again!!!!!

(Even tho Eli was present at the sweet family get-together his mind was still subconsciously thinking of that guy)

* You can betray yourself by saying you don't love someone since the first time you put your eyes on,

But the heart and your subconscious are aware,

Sometimes its better to be clear minded and honest than being stubborn and denying the fact that your heart has actually given you some kinda response *

Eli : Wow mom you're so niceeee.....you made all my favourites. Its been so long since I ate your dishes. They're always the best in the world uwah...*yum-yum*......

All three of them were having their lunch with such gusto that it'd make one hungry for such love and delicious food...but there was one seat that was empty at the table.....Eli notices the seat....

Eli : Ahhh mom where's brother I didn't see him when I came back...but then he's also not here for the family get-together!???

Eli's Mom : *sighs* Don't worry about him pumkin....he said he was kinda busy so he'd be here for dinner...its just us for now...why do you ask that dear...do you miss your BIG BROTHER or something!!!??(Eli's mom teases him as he's the baby of the family)

Eli's Dad : Haha someone is sure missing their BROTHER today.....wait till he comes he'd be so happy to hear you missed him soooooool much...(Eli's father throws a teasing glance to Eli too, trying to make him embarrassed)

ELI'S MOM AND DAD SHARING THE SAME BRAIN CELL RIGHT NOW : COME ON HONEY GET EMBARRASSED...WE WANNA SEE OUR CUTE LITTLE ELI ALL FLUSHED AGAIN....

But to their suprise Eli was kinda calm and emmersed in eating and was as calm as ever.

Eli : Yeah yeah I miss him. So what he's my brother ofcourse I'll miss him sometimes too....you guys don't take me for a emotionless fool okay.... I like my brother.....also I wanna talk to him about something so I'll wait for him and stay for today. Is it okay with you guys????????

**Eli's mom and dad are shocked and suprised to see their baby son being all honest and aloof......after some time they were both looking at their son with such sparkling eyes.......in their minds they thought of him still as a kid but looking at him now they feel like he's finally grew up...

Meanwhile Eli**~

Eli : Can you guys please stop staring now.........Its kinda embarrassing you know.......(As Eli snaps back into the reality he now is getting embarrassed because of the answer he gave before and also because of his parents staring at him with sparkly eyes)

After the dinner Eli's father helps his mother to clean up the dishes and other stuff (p.s.~he's a loving husband)...while Eli is in his old room waiting for his brother to arrive home as soon as possible....what it should be that's making Eli eagerly waiting for his brother since whole morning......

As he was lying in bed, Eli was still thinking about that dazzling and handsome boy he saw, early in the morning at the park.....while thinking about this he doesn't know when he falls asleep.......

Eli : *mumbling*...hy can't....rget you......*mumbling*....why can't I forget you......*frowns in sleep*....

Ben (a.k.a. Eli's older brother) : What's wrong with you...why are you mumbling and frowning while sleeping......

Eli still sleeping and saying something continuously.......

Ben : What are u saying I can't even understand you dummy.....(he moves near his baby brother to listen to what he was trying to say in his sleep.....also wake him up as he was back from work and got told by the old couple that Eli missed him.....so he was happy hearing his baby brother misses him once in a while too haha).....ahhh still such a baby.......let me listen to what you're saying now..

Eli : *still mumbling*.....why can't I forget you........your face...... it's dazzling.........f..get you..... don't wanna..... you......

Ben : Who's that damned girl that stole my baby Eli's attention. I won't let her have him. My baby is just so precious, how can anyone have him at they please.....huh as if I'd let that happen.......(p.s.Ben is obsessed with his baby brother and has a brother complex)

Sighs.....HEY SLEEPY HEAD WAKEY WAKEY.....YOU FAVOURITE BROTHER IS BACK TO YOUUUUUU.....
