The dim glow of multiple monitors illuminated Kai's sharp features as his fingers flew across the keyboard. Lines of code scrolled past, firewalls crumbling under his relentless assault

He leaned back, cracking his knuckles. This was supposed to be a simple job: infiltrate, extract, disappear. But the thrill of the hunt pulsed in his veins. He couldn't resist leaving a little... signature.
With a few keystrokes, he replaced the mafia's insignia with a pixelated middle finger and the tag "-Wildfire was here."
The silence shattered as Dante stormed in, tossing a tablet onto Luca's desk

Luca's icy gaze flickered to the screen. The middle finger glared back at him. His jaw tightened.

Kai's phone buzzed-a notification from his own security system.

He grabbed his go-bag, but the door exploded inward before he could move.
Smoke cleared to reveal Dante, glowering, and a dozen armed men.

And then he stepped through.
Luca Vitale, all sharp suits and sharper eyes, looked Kai up and down like a predator sizing up prey.

Kai's pulse spiked, but he forced a grin.

Wow. The Reaper himself. Should I be flattered or terrified
A gloved hand seized Kai's throat, slamming him against the wall. The heat between them was electric, dangerous.

(low, threatening): "You've got five seconds to convince me not to kill you."
Kai's smirk never wavered.
Kai Chen(Mc)
(breathless): "I can do way more damage alive... boss."

11:00 PM | Vitale Estate - Interrogation Room
The cold metal chair dug into Kai's back as Luca circled him like a wolf closing in on wounded prey. The dim light cast shadows across the mafia boss's sharp features, his dark eyes unreadable.

(grinning, despite the bruise forming on his jaw): "You know, if you wanted me tied up, all you had to do was ask."
Luca didn't react, except for the slight twitch of his fingers against the edge of the table.

(calm, deadly): "Who sent you?"
Kai Chen(Mc)
(mock gasp): "No 'hello'? No 'how's your day been'? Just straight to business-l respect that."
A knife flashed in Luca's hand, pressed against Kai's throat in an instant

(voice dropping to a whisper): "Try that again, and I'll carve the answers out of you."
Kai's pulse jumped, but his smirk only widened.

(from the doorway, sipping wine): "Brother, why is the stray barking?"
Luca didn't take his eyes off Kai.

He's not a stray. He's a problem

(raising a brow): "A problem you're keeping?"

Kai winked at her. "I'm growing on him."
Luca's grip on the knife tightened.
11:30 PM | Outside the Estate - Jasper's "Rescue" Attempt
Jasper crouched behind a dumpster, typ furiously on his laptop.

(muttering): "Okay, okay, disable security, locate Kai, don't die-easy."
His phone buzzed-a text from Kai:

If you're planning a rescue, bring snacks
Jasper(Kai's Bestfriend)
(grinning): "Oh, I'm bringing way better than snacks."
He slung a bag over his shoulder-full of smoke bombs, flash grenades, and, inexplicably, a bag of chips.

(cracking his knuckles): "Time to party."
Midnight | Luca's Office - The Deal
Luca tossed a file onto the desk. Inside: everything on Kai's past-his brother's murder, his vendetta, his aliases.

You weren't just hacking for fun. You're hunting
Kai's smirk faltered for the first time.
Luca Vitale(ML)
(leaning in): "I can give you names. Locations. The men who killed your brother."
Kai Chen(Mc)
Kai's eyes burned. "And what do you get out of it?"
Luca's thumb brushed over Kai's split lip, a twisted parody of tenderness

(laughing, sharp and wild): "Careful, Reaper. I bite back."

(frosting a cake, casually): "So, did you stab anyone today?"
Dante(Luca's right hand man)
(grunting, cleaning a gun): "No."

Pouting): "Disappointing."
