Lucky Baby: A Career Woman Transmigrates into an Infant

Episode 1

At the beginning of summer, the residents of Sukorejo village were busy working. Everyone went to the fields to start planting rice, including the Supardi family, consisting of three men who remained enthusiastic even though sweat had soaked their bodies.

The summer sun was scorching this time, but the Supardi family members, who worked as farm laborers with their two children, did not complain at all because being farm laborers was their main job to earn money to make a living, so they no longer complained much.

It was already late afternoon, but because there was still a lot of rice fields left for them to plant, the three of them did not stop working until all the land was finished today.

From the edge of the rice field, Peno, Gito's friend, Supardi's eldest son, shouted loudly. "Gito, tell your father to come home quickly! Your mother is about to give birth at home!", he shouted loudly.

Hearing that his mother was about to give birth, Gito walked towards his father, who was in the middle of the rice field, with wide steps.

"Dad, Mom is about to give birth. You should go home first, I and Aan will do the rest of your work," Gito said wisely.

Hearing that his wife was about to give birth, Supardi handed the rice seedlings he was about to plant to Gito. With wide steps, he hurried up and immediately ran home.

Meanwhile, inside a simple house with woven bamboo walls used for the walls of houses or fences, a 30-year-old woman was seen trying to push the baby out of her stomach.

Clinggg!

A bright golden yellow light entered the stomach of the woman who was waiting for the birth of her baby with a pale face and bathed in sweat, making Mak Supat, the midwife who was helping with the delivery process, stunned for a moment.

"Subhanallah! What was that just now? Hopefully, whatever it was, it's not a bad thing for Srikandi and her baby,"

When Clarissa woke up, she found herself surrounded by warm liquid and something seemed to be pushing her to move out.

"System, where am I now?", she asked to make sure.

"DING!!!"

"The host is currently inside the womb of a 30-year-old woman named Srikandi who will soon give birth to the Host"

Clarissa, who heard the system's statement, was very surprised, "What! I'm a baby!", she exclaimed in shock.

"Yes. The host is born as a baby in a poor farm laborer family as the fourth child. The Host's mission this time is to get the Host's family out of the abyss of poverty and bring them into a period of glory"

Clarissa, who heard the system's voice getting quieter and quieter, felt worried. "System, why is your voice getting quieter and quieter?", she asked suspiciously.

"Sorry Host. The system will soon fall asleep because it's time is up. The host can reactivate the system after the host does 100 acts of kindness"

Hearing that the system would disappear, Clarissa, who didn't know where she was, of course felt very panicked.

"System! How can you leave me like this! What will happen to me next if you don't accompany me in this foreign world," Clarissa said anxiously.

If she wasn't born as a baby, making a hundred acts of kindness so that the system she had could rise and help her would be very easy. But now, as a baby who can't walk and talk yet, how can she do good if she can't even support herself.

The system, which felt the tension in Clarisaa, gave the woman a little comfort.

"Don't worry, even if the system is not there, the Host will not be alone because in this world, besides the special abilities that the Host has in the previous world still exist, the Host also has the ability to predict the future. The host also has a dimensional space where the host can enter at any time. There, the Host can practice and also search for various kinds of information about the current era. As long as the Host is in the dimensional space, in the real world, the Host is like sleeping because only the Host's soul can enter, not the Host's physical body"

What the system explained made Clarissa feel a little calmer. After saying that, the system completely disappeared. Clarissa, who saw the bright light, instinctively moved to follow the flow and not long after, she was born into the world.

Mak Supat, the midwife who helped Srikandi's delivery, immediately patted the plump buttocks of the baby girl that the woman had just given birth to when she didn't hear her cry.

Oekkkk!

The baby's loud cry was heard, Mak Supat's bright smile was imprinted on her old face. After checking all the body parts, both hands and feet and the baby girl's fingers were complete without any flaws, the old woman immediately wrapped the red baby full of blood and took her out to be cleaned.

"You bad old woman! How can you pat my little butt so hard!", Clarissa said angrily.

Srikandi, who heard the curse of a little girl with a slightly lisping tone, immediately swept the entire room used for childbirth to look for whose child had entered her room with a frightened expression.

Not finding anyone, Srikandi immediately lay down her body which felt very weak. "Maybe I'm too tired from giving birth to hallucinate because it's impossible for there to be ghosts in the afternoon like this," she muttered to herself.

No longer hearing the suspicious voice, Srikandi, who had just given birth and was a little tired, tried to close her eyes for a moment while waiting for Mak Supat to clean her baby's body behind the house.

As soon as she finished bathing the newborn baby and burying her placenta, Mak Supat hurried into the room and handed the beautiful baby girl that had just been born to Srikandi to be breastfed.

Even though she was reluctant to drink breast milk, Clarissa felt that she couldn't refuse because her little body now needed her first breast milk so that her immune system would be strong, so she immediately sucked her food source greedily.

While Srikandi was breastfeeding her beautiful daughter, Mak Supat, the old woman cleaned Srikandi's body and put all the dirty clothes stained with blood into a plastic bucket that she had brought from behind.

After the bed for childbirth and Srikandi's body were clean, Mak Supat helped the woman to change clothes after her little baby, who was already full, fell asleep.

"Rest, don't forget to tell your husband to brew the herbal medicine later. I will go to the back to put these dirty clothes and wait for your husband to come," said Mak Supat before her figure disappeared behind the curtain that covered the bedroom door.

Supardi, who had just arrived home, immediately cleaned himself in the bathroom and changed clothes before going in to see his wife and newborn child.

As soon as he came out of the cubicle, Supardi bumped into Mak Supat who was carrying Srikandi's clothes full of blood stains.

"Just put it next to the well, Mak, I'll wash it soon," said Supardi while hurrying into the house.

Not long after, the 35-year-old man came out and gave an envelope to the old woman in front of him.

"Mak, thank you for helping with my wife's delivery," said Supardi sincerely.

Besides greeting Mak Supat, Supardi also brought the old woman the results of his garden which were packed in a bamboo basket.

"Congratulations, son, your daughter is very fat and beautiful. Because she was born on Sunday Pon, she will have extraordinary intelligence and good luck. God willing, your family's fortune after this will flow heavily because your baby girl brings great luck throughout her life," said Mak Supat.

Supardi frowned very deeply, "Isn't it still Saturday, Mak, why can her Weton be Sunday?", he asked confused.

"It's already Ba'da Asar. According to the elders, babies born at this time, their Weton already follows the next day," said Mak Supat explaining.

Supardi could only nod his head. As a young man who knew many things, he listened to all the advice given by older people and appreciated it, if it was felt to be useful.

Even though Supardi already had four children after his daughter was born, Mak Supat didn't stop giving advice about what was allowed and not allowed to be done.

After giving a lot of advice, Mak Supat immediately went home while Supardi hurried in to see the condition of his wife and beautiful baby without them realizing that there was a pair of eyes that had been watching them from behind the lush corn tree in the field next to the house.

Feeling that she had obtained important information, the middle-aged woman immediately left quickly while smiling widely while imagining how much money she would get soon.

***

As soon as he entered the room, Supardi saw his wife lying on the bed with a pale and weak face.

Next to her, wrapped in a patched blanket, was a beautiful little baby with clean white skin.

His beautiful little daughter looked fast asleep with her eyes closed, a slightly dazzling bright light came out of her little body, making Supardi surprised for a moment before he normalized his expression after remembering what Mak Supat had told him earlier.

"This is my daughter", Supardi muttered in his heart full of joy.

Supardi rubbed his hands together and his heart almost melted at just one glance. He walked slowly towards the bed, not wanting to wake his wife and beautiful daughter.

The baby's skin was very white and soft. The baby in the blanket was not like babies in general who are red and their skin is slightly wrinkled.

His little baby, besides her skin being very white, was also very smooth. Very different from his three rough sons.

Supardi would never admit that he already had favoritism for his children without him realizing it.

The thirty-five-year-old man stood next to the bed, looking at his beautiful and plump daughter with a face full of joy.

Even at the corners of his eyes, clear grains were pooling, as soon as he blinked, the clear grains would immediately slide down rapidly.

Srikandi, who woke up after feeling someone's presence, couldn't help but smile seeing her husband's foolish face.

"What a man! Seeing a little beauty is immediately carried away!", she muttered cynically.

Even though her mouth spoke cynically, in her heart, there was joy radiating because they both had been hoping for a daughter for a long time.

Hearing his wife's curt words, Supardi wasn't angry, on the contrary, he smiled widely, showing his white teeth towards his wife.

"I'm very happy. Finally, there is a beautiful flower in this house", he said full of joy.

Even though his three children weren't too naughty, there were four men and one woman in the house, making the condition of the house never neat.

There was always a way for his three sons to always make the house messy. And with the presence of his daughter, Supardi hoped that she could be someone who could ease his wife's work at home.

At least, girls don't mess around as much as boys who have more energy and are difficult to control.

Episode 2

Before the sun completely set, Supardi's two sons, Gito and Aan, arrived from the rice fields, followed by the youngest, Narto, whose body was covered in mud after playing with his friends on the rice field embankments while waiting for his two older brothers to work.

"Bathe and clean yourselves before you can come in!" Supardi was already blocking them at the door with his hands on his hips, causing the three of them to just grumble in annoyance as they walked to the back towards the well to bathe.

In this era, some houses already had wells and wooden cubicles for bathing. But most boys bathed directly by the well, and the bathrooms were only used by adults.

"Father is really stingy! Do we have to bathe just to come in and see our sister!" Narto grumbled, pouting in annoyance.

"Our sister is still a baby. If you come into the house dirty, it's a pity if she gets germs and gets sick," said Aan, the second child, wisely. Recounting what his teacher had taught him at school.

Yes, Aan and Gito were already in school. Aan was in the 3rd grade, while Gito, the older brother, was in the 6th grade.

They helped their father with his work in the fields after school so they could earn money to ease the burden of the family's needs but without neglecting their duties as students.

Meanwhile, his younger brother, Narto, who was six years old, would only start elementary school next year.

In the 80s era, for poor families, many children could not attend kindergarten due to lack of funds, so they would directly enroll their children in elementary school after they reached the age of seven.

Once the three brothers were clean and changed clothes, they entered their parents' room, which was only covered by a curtain.

"Mother, is my sister awake yet?" Narto asked excitedly.

"Your sister is still sleeping. Do you want to see her?" Srikandi asked the six-year-old boy.

Narto was very excited and immediately stepped forward to see his baby sister. "So beautiful. Her cheeks are also very soft," he said, poking his sister's cheek with his index finger.

"Sister is very beautiful, what's her name, Mother?" Aan asked, just as excited as Narto, who was now stroking the soft and chubby cheeks of his newborn sister.

"Her name is Lestari. You can call her Tari," Sri replied with a warm smile.

The noisy atmosphere disturbed the baby girl and woke her up. "Tsk, so noisy. Very annoying!" she grumbled unhappily.

Deg,

Everyone in the room fell silent upon hearing the voice of a little girl with a lisp who seemed to be scolding them.

Even Supardi, who had just entered after finishing brewing postpartum herbal medicine made by Mak Supat, could only freeze at the door, directing his eyes to scan the entire contents of the room.

"Mas, who was scolding us just now?" Narto whispered to Aan with a frightened expression.

There was no response from Aan, so Narto shook his older brother's arm. "Mas! Mas, you heard that voice, right?" he said again.

Aan, who was asked, could only nod without a word because he himself was still shocked.

The baby girl lying in a bundle of blankets on the bed was fully conscious. "Is this my family?" she said, observing each person in the room one by one.

While sleeping, in her subconscious she entered her dimension room and obtained a lot of important information about the life of people in the 80s era, especially about the family structure and their conditions which were explained in such detail that she could study them carefully.

Currently, she was born as a baby in the 80s era in a poor family in Sukorejo village, one of the villages at the foot of the mountain where the majority of the population lives as farmers.

Because their family was very poor and did not have land, the father, mother and two older brothers who were old enough worked as farm laborers to help the family's economy.

Realizing that it seemed like the baby next to Srikandi was the one who was speaking, everyone focused their attention on Tari.

Tari didn't know that her inner voice could be heard by her family, still busy counting each person in the room.

"This very beautiful one must be my mother," she said, looking at Srikandi gently.

"And the handsome one holding the glass must be my father," she said again, making Supardi, who had just stepped in, freeze again in place upon hearing the voice recognizing him.

Before Supardi and the others could react again, the soft and smooth voice was heard again.

"The ones staring at me sharply must be my three older brothers," she said again.

Seeing the clothes worn by her new family members that were full of patches and shabby, Tari's heart felt very hurt.

She wanted to grow up quickly so she could help her family's economy with the experience and intelligence she possessed, to lift her family out of poverty and complete the task that the system had given her.

The baby girl looked at her three brothers carefully with mixed feelings because of their thin bodies with slightly brown skin due to frequent exposure to sunlight.

After looking at them intensely, she realized that she could apply the ability to read someone's mind by looking at someone carefully.

Seeing that her third older brother looked frightened and kept murmuring that there was a ghost in his heart, while her other two older brothers seemed to be reading prayers that she didn't know the meaning of in their hearts, made the baby furrow her brow very deeply.

"I'm not a ghost! I'm a human! I'm your sister!" the baby girl grumbled again, pouting, making Srikandi, who had been staring at her and seeing the many expressions shown by her baby, feel amused.

"Tari, why? Is something uncomfortable, dear?" Srikandi said, stroking her daughter's forehead gently, until the wrinkles that had been etched eased.

With a look, Srikandi signaled her husband to take their three children out to talk.

Srikandi knew that her daughter was very special, besides having a very good and blessed weton, from Mak Supat she knew that when she was about to give birth there was a bright light that entered her stomach.

That was a good and bad sign. Good because the daughter she had just given birth to seemed very blessed. Bad if anyone found out and tried to harm her, so she had discussed this with her husband earlier, who had also been told by Mak Supat before going home, when their three children had not yet returned.

Outside, in the family room where there were only three rickety chairs, Supardi sat his three children down and tried to talk to them.

"What you heard earlier was the voice of your sister's heart. What you need to know is that your sister was born with a lot of blessings so she is very special. Father hopes that this news will not be spread outside so that it doesn't cause problems for your sister and our family," Supardi said, explaining.

The three of them nodded their heads to show that they understood what their father was saying.

"We promise we won't tell anyone about this," said Gito wisely.

"Yes, we will protect our sister and we won't let anyone hurt her," said Aan, chiming in.

"I also promise to father, not a single word will come out of my mouth regarding this," said Narto, making a movement as if closing his mouth with a zipper, a new habit he did with his friends if they had a secret they didn't want anyone else to know.

Supardi felt relieved, his three children were very smart so they could put themselves in any situation.

Meanwhile, inside the room, Srikandi smiled faintly several times upon hearing her daughter's babbling in her heart.

She never expected to have a daughter who was so chatty like this, even though she, her husband and her three children were quiet people.

"It's okay if Tari is chatty. This way, the house won't be so quiet anymore," Srikandi muttered in her heart.

Meanwhile, Tari, who had been chattering to herself in her heart while trying to move her hands and feet, felt very tired so she fell asleep after being breastfed by her mother.

As soon as Tari's body fell asleep, her soul immediately entered the dimension room that the system had left. Here Tari could move freely, even though her body was still small but she was not like a baby in the real world who couldn't do anything alone.

"Yes, only in here can I move freely and train my strength and intelligence," she grumbled, running back and forth practicing the martial arts she possessed as in her previous life.

Even though her body was still small, at least she wasn't a baby who couldn't do anything and was determined in her heart to be able to make her family experience big changes in their lives, especially in terms of income so that her family could live decently.

Episode 3

Sunarti hiked up her daster, walking quickly towards Juragan Darman's house to discuss an important matter with the wealthiest man in Sukodadi village, a neighboring village of Sukorejo, 15 kg away from her village, after getting off the onta bicycle she had ridden with her first child, Cipung.

The road to Juragan Darma's house was very steep and slippery, so Sunarti had to get off the bicycle because she was afraid of slipping, while her child walked behind her, leading the bicycle, not daring to ride it for fear of slipping and falling into the ravine.

Seeing the very large brick house with shiny white ceramic floors and a large yard in front, and several trucks neatly lined up beside the house, Sunarti smiled broadly.

She quickened her pace, running slightly so she could quickly reach the front of Juragan Darma's house.

Knock knock knock...

"Peace be upon you...Mr. Darma!" she shouted loudly.

Not receiving a response, Sunarti knocked on the door again and said greetings after her first three knocks went unanswered.

Hearing the sound of footsteps approaching the door, and soon a middle-aged woman wearing a large hijab appeared, looking at her questioningly. "Akang isn't home!" she answered curtly.

Everyone knew that Juragan Darma's wife, who was five years older than him, was very jealous. Seeing Sunarti come looking for her husband, of course she felt very unhappy.

"What do you need from Akang?" she asked again sharply, seeing Sunarti didn't budge from her spot.

Sunarti suppressed her displeasure at Aminah's attitude towards her because she had an important mission to carry out.

"If Juragan Darma isn't there, it's okay with you too," Sunarti said in a voice made as gentle as possible in her speech.

Seeing that Sunarti seemed to have important news, Aminah invited her in.

"Quickly tell me what you need. Just be warned if what you bring isn't important news," she said warningly.

Not wanting to waste time, Sunarti immediately stated the purpose of her visit.

"Does your child, Den Joko, still want to have a child? Coincidentally, my niece just gave birth. Her family's condition is very poor, so she doesn't have much money to take care of her. The child is a girl, chubby and beautiful. Most importantly, she has a Minggu Pon weton," Sunarti explained.

Aminah, hearing that the baby was a girl, her face turned slightly sour. But when she heard that the baby had a Minggu Pon weton, her sour face disappeared quickly, like turning a book, and she immediately smiled brightly.

"Minggu Pon! Is it true she has such a good weton?" Aminah asked in disbelief.

Seeing Aminah's enthusiasm, Sunarti immediately nodded quickly, not missing this good opportunity.

"That's right, ma'am! If Den Joko has this child, I'm sure the fortune of his small family will continue to flow like river water," Sunarti said hyperbolically.

Everyone knew that anyone who had this weton, had good luck throughout their life, but unfortunately only a few people were lucky enough to have it.

Seeing the seriousness of Sunarti's words, Aminah did not miss this good opportunity.

"How much does your relative want to give up the child?" Aminah asked eagerly.

Sunarti hesitated, showing Aminah her index finger.

"One hundred thousand?" Aminah asked.

Seeing Sunarti shake her head quickly, Aminah changed her words. "One million! Fine, as soon as you bring the baby, I will give you one million," Aminah said quickly, afraid Sunarti would change her mind.

Sunarti, feeling that her goal had been achieved, immediately excused herself because the night was getting late.

In the 80s era, lighting was very minimal. Only rich people could use Petromax lamps to make their houses bright, while poor people only used kerosene lamps, even then only a few in one house.

Especially public roads, residents only relied on moonlight to illuminate their roads, so traveling at night was very risky.

"Come on, Pung, let's go back," Sunarti said, patting the shoulder of her child who was daydreaming on the terrace of Juragan Darma's house.

They rode the onta bicycle slowly to avoid accidents that could take their lives.

Moreover, the position of Juragan Darma's house was near a ravine, so self-awareness needed to be increased several times compared to when they were on a normal public road.

Throughout the journey, the smile on Sunarti's face never faded, imagining two million rupiah in her hands.

Cipung, who heard the conversation between his mother and Aminah, tried to convey his opinion. "I think, Paklik Sunardi won't want to give his child to Juragan Darma because after all, he and his wife have wanted a daughter for a very long time."

What her eldest child said made the wide smile on Sunarti's face immediately disappear.

"You're just a child, don't interfere! This is an adult matter! Just be warned if you tell anyone about this matter, I'll beat you until you can't walk anymore!" Sunarti threatened fiercely, making Cipung immediately silent and no longer dared to comment.

Sunarti knew that her younger sibling and his wife would not want to give their child to Juragan Darma. She wasn't stupid enough to ask them directly either.

Unable to take it nicely, she decided to take a shortcut by kidnapping the baby girl.

In the future, her younger sibling would definitely be very grateful to her for alleviating one of his life's burdens.

With difficult economic conditions like her younger sibling's family, raising another baby was not easy, so Sunarti considered her actions to be quite good because indirectly it would reduce the burden on her younger sibling's family.

Inside Supardi's house, Tari suddenly woke up from her sleep after seeing a glimpse of a bad incident that would soon befall her.

"Damn! My father's older sister is very bad and cruel. At midnight tonight, she intends to kidnap me to be sold to Juragan Darma for one million. You barbarian!" she said angrily.

All the members who were gathered in the living room while accompanying their two children to study, were very surprised to hear Tari's inner voice.

"Ahhh! Why was I born as a baby! How can I warn my family so that the cruel woman doesn't succeed in kidnapping me!" Tari felt frustrated and kept muttering in her heart, feeling that the system was very irresponsible, leaving her alone and born as a baby.

Not only could she not speak yet, she also couldn't move freely with her short hands and feet that could only kick and hit the air, making the frustration within Tari even greater.

With a face full of despair, Tari hoped that her parents could take good care of her and she also hoped that fate was on her side so that the bad things planned for her would not happen.

All the family members who heard Tari's complaints, could only be silent and started making plans in their hearts.

Even though they were still not completely sure about Tari's words, they would still protect their family's precious jewel and would not let anyone hurt her.

Tari didn't expect that in such a short time, her position in her family's heart was already very high.

Even her three older siblings planned to take turns guarding her tonight, so that the safety of their younger sibling could be maintained.

"Mas, what if we set traps on the front and back doors. Also under the windows because I think, Budhe will definitely pass through that route tonight," Aan whispered to Gito.

Hearing his younger sibling's brilliant idea, Gito nodded. "Finish your homework quickly. When Mom and Dad go into the room, we move," he replied whispering softly.

Narto, who didn't know what his two older siblings were talking about, already had his own plans in his heart so that his evil and greedy aunt would get a lesson.
