[Leon stands at the doorway, hearing bed creaks and muffled moans.]
SFX: Creak… creak… creak…
Male Voice

Leon
(shocked) …That voice…?
Door Slightly Open, Leon’s Eye Visible Through Crack
Female voice

Elsa (ex.wife)

Leon
(whisper) …No… It can’t be…
[Bedroom Wide Shot. Saul taking Elsa from behind. Leon frozen in doorway.]
(Elsa’s face is buried in a pillow.)
Leon
(I came home early… hoping to surprise my wife.)

(And what I saw destroyed me.)
[Close-up of Leon gripping his combat knife.]
Leon
(range building) She was mine… my waife…
Leon
And she gave herself to him???!!!
[Blood-splattered. Saul screams. Leon stabbing repeatedly.]
Leon
(yelling) DIE!! DIE, YOU BASTARD!!
Elsa (ex.wife)
No….. Babe…noooo
Elsa (ex.wife)
What have you done??? Somebody call the police….
Leon
“His name was Saul Hardey. Son of a billionaire.”
Leon
“They arrested me the that day.”
Judge
Leon Hart… you are sentenced to 5 years…
[Medical Exam Room. Needle being plunged into Leon’s neck.]
Leon
(shouting) What the hell?!
Doctor
(cold) Just sleep, Mr. Hart.
[Beach scene. Leon wakes up in tattered clothes. Harsh sunlight.]

“When I woke up… I was here. Shadow Island.”
Insert - Note in Leon’s hand (from Hardey)
*Enjoy dying slowly, you damn criminal. Elsa conned us both.*
[Leon walking the shore, eyes scanning horizon.]
Leon
“This island… is where they dump people like me.”
Leon
“Criminals, enemies, expendables.”
[Distant panel: a woman’s body on the sand.]
(thinking) Wait… a person?!
[Close-up: Alice’s unconscious face. Hair flowing in water.]
Alice
(weakly) …Th-thank you…
[Alice sitting up, holding her head.]
Leon
The place you end up when someone powerful wants you gone.
[Alice wide-eyed. Waves behind her.]
Alice
No way… the cruise ship… it exploded…
Leon
So you’re a survivor.
Alice
(sighs) I’m Alice. A fitness coach.
Leon
“She had a strong, curvy body… and the guts to survive. Impressive.”
[Leon and Alice walking along the shore.]
Alice
I saw others get on lifeboats.
Alice
Maybe they made it too…
Leon
Then let’s find them.
Leon
And supplies, if we’re lucky.
[Group of women spotted ahead. Talking nervously.]
Girl A
I’m sure help will come.
Girl A
Just hang in there.
Girl B
There has to be a rescue team…
Alice
(pointing) There! People!
[Leon freezes as he spots Elsa among the women.]
Leon
(thinking)…No way. Her?
[Elsa stares at Leon, pale-faced.]
Elsa (ex.wife)
(shocked) D-Darling…?!
Elsa (ex.wife)
What are you doing here?!
[Leon clenches fists. Eyes cold.]
Leon
He told me everything about my ex-wife.
Leon
I’m here to finish what I couldn't last time.
Elsa (ex.wife)
(screaming) Help! He’s a killer!
Elsa (ex.wife)
He stabbed Saul!
[Lily and Alice step in front of Elsa protectively.]
Alice
Mr. Leon… calm down, please…
Leon
(growling) That woman betrayed me.
Leon
She turned me into a murderer.
[Elsa, crying dramatically.]
Elsa (ex.wife)
I was scared of you!
Elsa (ex.wife)
Saul loved me! You’re a monster!
Leon
My ex-wife was loved by that bastard. What a joke.
Leon
Do you think a married woman had an affair with someone other than their husband?
Leon
And they will not do anything.
[Leon turns away, voice low.]
Leon
Fine. Believe what you want.
Leon
No one’s coming to save you.
Leon
Just don’t beg for food when you’re dying of thirst.
[Leon walks off alone toward the forest. Volcano looming in distance.]
Leon
“I’ll survive this hell. No matter what it takes.”
