Chapter-1 (another monday for the generator)
“I hate school” xie lian said with a lazy tone, her face Stoic as always.
She laid her head down on the desk, thinking about how to survive her new school, a new country, a new monday- so annoying. With a mental shrug she shoved it away- falling asleep in the middle of the class.
“Hey! teacher is gonna come, you should wake up!” Someone whispered- but not quite enough as the person poked her arm to wake her up.
Her eyes fluttered open, landing on the kid beside her as her black eyes stared at the stranger with annoyance- she was going to tell him to mind his own business but the interrupted her thought asking with a High pitch voice but warm. “Are you the new student?”
The other still with her hands laid out on the desk, her expression blank- with an internal sigh she gave a small nod.
“I'm your desk partner for this semester” he said showing her a slip with the same number as xie lian had.
Xie lian looked at him in irritation, thinking ‘i gotta share my seat with a kid? Let's hope he isn't annoying’ as the other just raised an eyebrow with amusement.
Finally for the first time she opened her mouth to say something, “is that mandatory, can't I sit alone for the rest of my school years?”
“No, you can't” he responded with a warm smile. (Pulling down a chair to sit next to her)
“My name's tao, by the way” he murmured softly- enough loud for the other to hear as he rummaged through his bag taking out a packet of chocolate milk, placing it beside her half asleep state. ‘i hope we’ll be good friends’ he thought.
She pushed herself off the desk rubbing her one eye, and without hesitation taking the chocolate milk, mumbling a little ‘thanks’.
She placed the sipper in it, and started to drink, the chocolate flavour flooded in her mouth, cold- “I like it warm, but guess it's fine’ she thought.
Tao just kept staring at her with an awkward smile, ‘is she gonna tell me her name?’ he thought to himself, fidgeting with the edge of his jacket.
The other just ruffles her hair, noticing him glaring at her, she narrowed her eyes at him as-if questiong.
“You didn't tell me your name yet” he replied, blinking.
She kept drinking, with a pause for about more than 30 seconds, the girl finally answered. With the straw still in her mouth.
“Xie lian”
“It's cool”
“I know your lying”
“Oh” the other let out a chuckle, his shoulder shaking. “Your funny”
“Whatever, thanks for the drink though”
“Your welcome” tao titled his head a little, as his lips curled up into a smile.
“Don't give it to others like freebies, make them pay you”
He shakes his head, with a grin, “Ugh, It's not that, I just had a extra one, so decided to give it to you”
“Are you new in this city?” he asked fidgeting with his hair, looking at her curiously.
‘should I tell him im actually new in this country?’ xie lian pulls the straw out from her mouth, putting it away- as she lazily puts her head on the desk, her face facing his side.
“Yeah” she answered dryly.
“Ohh did u come from the countryside?”
“None of ur business, kid”
“We're the same age” he replied with a small pout.
“Yeah and 13 year old count as kids” xie lian added, putting her hand on either side of her head- falling asleep again.
“Was she playing video games last night?” He muttered to himself as another question popped in his mind.
“Why you move in to another city, though?” He asked poking her arm.
There was a long pause, xie lian Just kept starring at him with half- lidded eyes.
“Expelled” she said in a tired voice falling into slumber again.
“Ex..pelled?” Tao just looked at her with horror and confusion.
‘was she some kind of delinquent in her last school?’ he thought.
________
The school bell rang declaring the end of the day, the students were bustling around some beaming with happiness, while some tired from the hard day.
“Finally, I can go home from this prison” tao exasperatingly voices out, he started to walk on his usual path wondering about the new kid.
‘i didn't saw her at the departure time, did she leave earlier than me?’
As he was busy with his thoughts, he suddenly noticed a familiar figure at the corner of his eye.
“Xie lian!” He excitedly screamed her name crossing the road to meet her as the other was surprised by him but showed no sign of any expression on her face.
“Wait why is the charger USB in ur mouth ? Where's the upper part ?”
suddenly the phone in which the other end of the usb was plugged buzzed showing full battery. The usb flickered with chunk of red colour electric waves.
?!huh?!
Tao was in confusion as there was a long pause in between both of them.
Xie lian sighed accepting her miserable fate, “I was charging my phone”
___
The end
Sorry for the short chapter.
“There has to be a way!” tao exclaimed, biting the pencil in his hand while with the other one he rubbed his hair like a mad scientist!
Well he did look like a mad scientist who is trying to find if the pyramids were made by aliens or not- but that's not the case He was trying to find how in hell does the new student, his desk partner for the whole year can control electricity.
He had eye bags under his eyes- and looked like he'll fell asleep for eternity any second. He looked at the board infront of him containing who knows what- on the corner there was info about the Mount everest, in the middle a doodle of xie lian and the fact it looked mostly like her. His art skill did pay off.
Don't know how Mount everest is connected to her thought
He pulled the pencil out of his mouth and started scribble things in the white board infront of him, muttering random things.
“Jeez, I don't understand how the hell can a human have electricity powers or whatever that is?, well isn't it cool?”
“Maybe she's an alien! An alien who's studing human nature !” He raised his fist in the air, his eyes shining with excitement.
____
Tao was in confusion as there was a long pause in between both of them.
Xie lian sighed accepting her miserable fate, “I was charging my phone”
“Wait wh- without a switch?!” Tao glanced at the other, with confusion and dumbfoundness.
“Look, our home teacher is behind you” the girl stated, pointing behind him.
“Huh WAIT no- should I run?!” He shouted, in fear, spinning behind to see their teacher- but the whole road was empty, the warm wind blowing.
He was dumbfounded, twirling to the front just to see no one there too.
“Did she disappear into thin air?!” he yelled.
“Wait, did I just get fooled by her?!”
After coming home from the most unbelievable moment of his life he dug into his laptop, researching what just happened! not before doing his homework, of course.
____
“Why do I feel like I am forgetting something?” the hyper focused boy mumbled tilting his head to the side still glazing at the white board.
“Hmm…no No NO!”
“I FORGET TO BUY THE GROCERY!!!”
“Mom's gonna kill me!”
[Next day]
‘I hate school, I hate humans, I hate everything, I hate the government too’ the girl thought, dozzed off on the desk.
“Uh hi” she heard a nervous voice from beside, moving her head a little to see tao pulling the chair, sitting. He looked tired not that she cared. She gave a small ‘hi’ then again trying to sleep.
“Hey xie lian, I've been wondering about what happened yesterday! How did u get those electric power?”
Hearing that xie lian pulled herself off from the desk and was about to say mind ur own business but before that she was attacked with a crazy amount of questions.
“Are you an alien?!”
“Huh-wh”
“Are you here to experiment on humans?, how's your real form like ?!, are you here to rule on humans ?!, are you the goddess of lightning or something or maybe a descendant of a lighting clan?!”
Xie lian was dumbfounded as she was caught off guard by this much questions, the pair of black eyes just staring at the hazel one in pure confusion, the girl blinked- her face expression turned into her usual scowl which- she always held.
“what?” She muttered slowly.
“I guess I got overboard a little” tao let out a nervous chuckle, fidgeting with the hem of his jacket which was a part of the uniform.
“I'm a human, do you want me to cut my wrist and show you my blood?” she asked grumpily, as she rested her cheek on her hand, narrowing her eyes at him.
“NO- no I meant I didn't meant that but you know yesterday I just saw you charging your mobile with your mouth? How am I supposed to sit down quietly?” Tao said with enthusiasm.
“What are you talking about? You must have been dreaming I never met you outside” she still had that scowl, rolling her eyes at him.
“I never mentioned I met you outside,” Tao smirked.
Xie lian stared at him for further minutes, her eyebrows furrowing further obviously annoyed- with a long sigh of defeat she finally agreed that what he saw was real.
“Just don't tell anyone, or I'll make your life hell” she threatened, grabbing a compass from her Pouch, giving him a death stare.
“You know when you actually ask for favors you don't threaten them by saying ‘i’ll make your life hell’ it sounds funny to me though” tao grinned- continuing, “well how about we become friends!” He reached a hand towards her for a handshake.
“I don't wanna be involved with anyone, just ignore me for the rest of your life” the other said, ignoring the hand still in the air.
Not caring, tao took her free hand for a handshake, “we're friends from now on”
“Huh wait- when did I agre-”
“I wanna see your power or whatever you do with electricity, are you a power bank ? Do you know how to fight?”
Xie lian sweat dropped listening to so many questions again getting thrown at her face-, “I also don't know much about it, and no I'm not a power blank- where did that even come from? She replied with a low- grumpy tone looking at the ceiling while leaning on her chair.
“So can you fight…?”
“Well…yeah- not on a professional level ofcourse.” ‘I'm just a kid afterall’ she thought.
________
[On a roof of a random building]
“So this is that golden planet- the figure lets out a cough before continuing “ why the hell is the air so bad?”
He ruffled his purple hair, crouched down on the roof- staring down with a confused expression as he observed the peaple going here and there, suddenly he heared the sound of a door opening he turned his head towards it seeing a person with blue uniform carrying which seen like a bucket to him.
“You kid, no one is allowed here- how did you even get here?”
“Uh well” he gave a small nervous smile to him.
—---
“Where are your parents, kid?” The security guard asked to him as he looked at his shoes.
Poor him, he didn't knew he'll get handed to who seem like a security guard for sitting at a rooftop of a hospital where I think earthlings goes for medical care.
“What's your name, child? Are u lost?” The guy asked again with concern.
“Uh Sir, why is that guy with black mask trying to break the glass with a bat?” He questioned innocently pointing behind the security guard.
“Huh?” The security guard turned to see no lunatic trying to break in instead of using the door- confused he turned around to ask him what he meant just to see no one around.
“Ugh kids these days”

The end
(P' stands for big brother/brother in Thai in short form).
“She didn't come today either, she's been absent for many days- I wonder why…’” Tao thought, his eyes fixed on the seat beside him. He was sad because he's been alone like this for a whole week now.
“....and then you- hahaha!”
“... Really? That's great!”
He glanced at the group of girls giggling and laughing while he was just sitting there with a stupid smile of his own. He felt even sadder now. People liked him though only when he'll help them or make a joke out of himself to make everyone laugh. He really is desperate.
“I should have asked for her socials” he mumbled while resting his face on his palm.
Then his gaze drifted to the new kid (he wonders how suddenly students are transferring in the middle of the semester).
~He said his name was Jin- will he grant my three wishes? I guess that's idiotic to think though.~
He kept staring at the guy behind who seemed too focused outside the school staring at the sky. Jin was sitting behind just in the last desk- in the next row to Tao.
~~
“Tch this place sucks so much” the purple hair coloured boy grumbled looking at the sky for anything which would catch his eye. But it was just- blue.
Suddenly he sensed someone sitting next to him, he moved his head to the side, seeing a cute- looking boy with somewhat very light brown hair that could be mistaken as blonde or bleached. Not that he cared.
“Why the hell are you sitting here?” Jin asked, trying to sound much unapproachable so the other would leave.
“Because you seemed lonely”
“What? No, I'm not- just listen dude leave me alone im not interested in talking to anyone right now” Jin stated, rolling his eyes leaning back on his seat.
“You really remind of someone, but they were more calmer, cooler, handsome and funnier than you” Tao blurted out bluntly- oh my, if only he knew what he sounded like.
“Did you come here just to insult me ? Cause listen dude, I'M much more cool, handsome and funny than whoever you're talking about!” he shouted at first but lowered down seeing kids staring at him.
Tao raised his hand in mock defence, “No that's not what I meant-” just as he was about to confront him a thought crossed his mind with a smirk he continued, seeing the annoyed expression of Jin.
“You know, you're like just a bad knock-off version of them,” Tao exclaims with an innocent expression resting his face on both of his palms, looking at Jin with those doe eyes.
Jin's scowl deepened, “do you have a death wish or are YOU just naturally annoying?” he narrowed his eyes at Tao.
Tao just smiled even more.
It worked.
He's getting so worked up, it's fun to mess with him.
“You wanna know more about her?”
“no-”
“Do you know she is very good at using swords and has magical powers, she can manipulate ice and defeat a dragon by herself?” Tao jokes, obviously joking about everything.
“You want me to believe that shit?”
“Unless your screw are loose”
And for the next few days he didn't stop talking about xie lian to piss him off.
Xie lian was sitting at her desk looking at the PC in front of her. She just came home from school, and she hated everything. The school, the country and what not. She wanted to go back.
Her gaze shifted to the plates of snacks that her cousin gave her. That annoying jerk always smiling like a freak that confused her on what he was thinking.
She heard the sound of her door opening- she already knew who he was by how ill-mannared they were. It was P'wenjun, of course.
The guy who looked like he's in his late twenties- slammed the door open, ruffling his mint coloured hair with annoyance.
“Hey you gremlin have you seen Minghao?” he asked with a rough tone, asking about his elder twin.
“Yes, then he disappeared somewhere. But as his assistant let me assure you he doesn't have time for manner-less people." Xie Lian looked at him with her usual neutral face.
The other just looked back with annoyance, rolling his eyes, then moving to the switch to turn off the lights of the room followed by messing with the perfectly made bed- on which she spent ten minutes of her life to make it ....well whatever. At least he left now- she can focus back on what she was doing.
“I don't feel like going to school here, can't I just sit at home and study by myself if I can't go back to my previous one?” xie lian thought, playing with the red coloured highlights in her bangs, leaning back on the chair.
“But P'Minghao won't let me and worse if my mom knows that I'm not going to school” after a moment she straightened herself, her hand moving to the keypad as she tapped effortlessly- searching for something.
Removing her gaze from the screen she started to examine her limbs, “which part would be more painful?” she mumbled while looking through her hands.
_____
The hospital as always smelled of medicine and metal. The hallways are clean and white, people going here and there.
She hated this place with all her heart, annoying doctors, weird antibiotics smell and those shitty liquid medicines.
“Ai, are you okay!?” She moved her head towards the voice seeing P'Minghao coming and sitting on the chair next to her. His face looked so worried like she's going to die. He was wearing his usual clothes rather than his surgeon uniform. (He's a surgeon, but he's so young? He's just smart. ◉‿◉)
“Yes, it's no big deal I just broke my ankle” she rolled her eyes, leaning back on the cushion behind her back.
“How did you break it? Did you fall off the stairs? It must've hurt so bad ...it seems like it got crushed or something.” He fixed his glasses, looking at her injured and plastered ankle.
“I don't have to go to school Right?”
“I'm not sending you to there with this injury”
—--
(Night)
She knows, she's fucked up once he knows she broke it herself with a– dumbbell! But her efforts paid off, at least she doesn't have to go to school now.
She let out a yawn while continuing to study on the folding table placed on her bed. Who cares about school when she can do this by herself.
(In Minghao's office)
“I swear dude, she must be trying to escape from the window” Wenjun stated, expressing with his hands.
“We live on the 46th floor” the other said calmly.
“I am sure she must've done that by herself,” Wenjun muttered, staring at his twin with an annoyed face.
“I think it's better if we ask her, I'm just worried- her getting a fracture in the middle of the night was not what I expected.” Minghao advised, rubbing his forehead.
