In the bustling city filled with people a thin quiet girl with a blue backpack stood there. Though it was a warm day, but she felt inexplicably cold. Lilith lowers her eyes letting her long bangs cover her emotions. She tightly holds her phone and her fingertips have gone pale. She pressed her lips together taking a long time before softly uttering a Yes.
The moment the word left her mouth, the phone call was disconnected on the other hand.
Before hanging up she faintly heard an impatient boy urging them to take him in the amusement park.
Lilith's clear eyes redden slightly as she sniffled and trying hard not to let her tears fall.
The ten year old girl looks lost and helpless unsure where to go. Before her Stepfather called her father was also called saying he was leaving the country with his new wife and daughter.
Though she had parents, she lived a life much like an orphan. Her parents divorced when she was very young and quickly remarried leaving her shutter between two households, where she never fully belonged to either.
She felt like an outsider or maybe a burden. Despite being well behaved and never causing trouble why did they still abandon her?
Tears welled up uncontrollably making her eyes red.
A soft delicate cat meow echoed. Sitting a remote bus stop Lilith felt a furry brush against her leg.
Looking down she saw a snowy white little cat with blue eyes looking at her.
