One day Naruto is walking around the village of konoha after granny Tsunade tell him about Jiraiya death a while on his mission
And still Sasuke is gone. Naruto don't know how to bring back Sasuke to konoha or where Sasuke is, he didn't know where to go to find him
a while walking kakashi and Iruka sensei is talking to each other about Jiraiya death and incoming mission for Sakura and Naruto
Naruto pass by them like he didn't hear it or he just chose to ignore it, it's was odd for him to be acting like that. instead his cheerful and active personality or emotion but kakashi and Iruka sensei notice it but they understand what's happening to Naruto is in grief for Jiraiya
