But damn… that voice. That face. Those eyes that didn’t even give me a second glance. I should’ve been angry. Embarrassed, at least. But all I could think was— Who was she? And why did I want her to ruin every coffee of mine from now on? I looked down at the stain, then toward the door she disappeared through. Messy? Yes. Regret? Not a chance. That was the moment. She spilled my coffee. And stole something bigger.
