After the interrogation was over, Jason came out of the police station as if nothing happened. It wasn't the first time something like this happens. It starts the same. If a girl likes him and starts dating him, she will receive a lot of traumas in life. If she has family, her family dies one after the other. If she had a business, her business will fail. If she was sick, she won't get any better until she dies. If they form any contact, she dies. He was called the monster in human form. And once again this had happen. He sometimes wondered if it was okay to be alive or join his parents in the grave. He knows why he's cursed because, he survived. Long ago, his great great grand father who was the famous farmer in the village accidentally spoilt his produce causing the villagers to starve through out the year and could bear it no more so, the villagers bagged the king for mercy and he did. Having to go through great lengths to get food for the citizens. His great great grand father discovered that the imported food was unhealthy and inedible and want end to expose the tricks if the traders only for them to find out and call on their priest to lay a curse on him. One by one, generation after generation when each family member reached 20, he'll trigger his curse and die but his case was different. He came across and evil plot against the government and saved it making his curse to change. Instead if dying he made others die especially females. He killed a man and though it was he who caused the premature death the investigators could never hit the nail on the head. This was the forth time through the 4 months he'd been here that it had happened and was called to the station, so he had to leave before his name appeared on the news. Living such a cold and harsh life, he became that way. Drinking till he got drunk and crowd very night. He got soi tired of the life he lived that he decided to change. He started his business that sky rocketed and became well known but he had closed his heart for he felt that he could never be truly happy with this life. His curse hadn't been triggered in a long time and he almost forgot he had it until one faithful day...

Jason walked through the streets towards the building that had its address written in his palm. "I cannot believe I'm doing this" he mumbled to himself thinking that he was stupid to agree to this but entered anyway. He was met by a girl that beamed brightly at him holding his hand firmly. He met her 3 weeks ago by accident.

Let me tell you about it. He just finished from work and was quite exhausted only for him to get to his car and see it jammed. He was exhausted from his work and wanted to leave quickly for home only to now see his car down. He decided against calling his personal assistant and decided to just walk home. When a girl came out of nowhere and tugged at his shirt. She was being chased by men in black and panic filled her eyes as she desperately pulled at his shirt. "Please I need to use you" She said making Jason dumbfounded -Use me? How?- She hugged Jason tightly hiding her face inside his coat until the men passed by them. Jason could feel the rush of energy leave his body making him feel lighter and freer than he had felt in a while and then, he remembered it was his curse. She'd made contact with him and now, it had transferred to her. but she didn't even notice as her attention was on the departing men. "Phew! That was a close one. Thanks. Here" She said and handed him a 10 dollar bill. He looked at her surprised making her think it's too small "Sorry if it doesn't satisfy you, but that's all I've got in here. " I'll see you later" and she left making Jason burst out in laughter. How cute she is giving him a 10 dollar bill. But that wasn't the most important thing right then. She had contacted his curse, she was going to die in a month. , so he had to keep a close eye in her. why he needed to do this ?so she doesn't transfer it to anyone else. Is kind of like a virus. He monitored her for like 2 weeks but saw no symptoms of the curse which made him start to wonder ,if she really had it because he hadn't transfer the course to anyone for a long time. His weird behavior didn't go unnoticed to her. She felt like she has been followed for a few days now so she decided to catch the culprit in the act until she caught him one day. 'Aha why do you follow me around? Are you stalking me?' He was stuck he couldn't possibly tell her that she had a curse that would get her killed in a months time I mean it was kind of weird for a big shot like himself to be following her around in his car. He got out not knowing what he could possibly say to her to make her believe him. But, her focus wasn't on him anymore but the couple that were walking towards them. The colour on her face drained drastically at the sight of them and this didn't go unnoticed to Jason. Before he could even turn to see who it was, she held on to his shirt. "Can you please do me a favour?" 'what is it?' "pretend to be my boyfriend." 'Excuse me?' but she didn't wait for him to reply she just took his arm and started laughing out loud as if she wasn't so grumpy and gloomy a moment ago. Before Jason could even understand what was going, a dark chocolate girl curly hair walked hand in hand with a blonde tall guy who was quite handsome, towards them. "Oh hi Manny long time no see" the girl said with a sweet tone but her eyes said otherwise "oh hello Tara. How are you Shane? It really has been long haven't it?" "and who do you have here?" "oh he's my boyfriend" Manny said tightening her grip on his arm. "Don't be rude" she said to Jason -who just stood still- with a little shove. "Hello it's nice to meet you. I'm Jason by name" he said extending his hand to shake the both of them. Which they did of course out of kindness but they were not happy about it. Tara was so angry she couldn't believe that she moved on how can she get another boyfriend when she couldn't have one? This annoyed Tara to bits. Shane on the other hand, didn't like the atmosphere at all and wanted to leave. "Babe I think I forgot something in the restaurant we just got out from" "Oh! you dummy did you forget your car keys again?" 'Yeah that's it I forgot my car keys' "No you didn't silly, they're with me" she said jingling them in front of him "oh I forgot" he said look into dejected now he couldn't escape Manny knew that it was just an excuse because he always says he forgot his car keys to get out of a strange or uncomfortable conversation. Tara had an idea on how to humiliate Manny because she couldn't believe that she could move in from Shane that easily. "Since we've finally met again, why don't I invite you for a party that were going to have in like a week time?" 'Actually we have other plans' Manny said trying hard to reject the offer nicely. "Surely you can make out time for this right? My parents and grand parents are going to be there. I mean there really isn't any need for you to reject since we've put our differences behind us and all. Am I right?" Manny could feel her heart burn with rage and she tried soo hard not to show it venting anger on Jason's poor arm. She knew what she was planning and decided that she wasn't going to lose to Tara again. she wasn't going to act weak and vulnerable running away from the situation. that was why she agreed to it "A little party can't hurt anyone. We'll try to be there" "Awesome! I'll see you there with your BOYFRIEND" She made sure she stressed the last word offering it to her as a threat, she was soo mad she felt like she was going to explode. "Are you alright?" Jason said in his calm, domineering but sweet enchanting deep voice bringing back her sanity. "Yes am fine. Thanks for pretending to be my boyfriend. Can you just do it one more time? I really need to fool them or else I'll never see the end of it." She knew what she was asking for was out of the ordinary but she was really desperate. Jason taught about it and agreed because he still needed to keep an eye on her and it sure had been a while since he dated anyone so this should be good with all the drama going on in her life. "Really? Thank you soo much. We'll need to be meeting as frequently as we can so we can get to know each other better and discover a way to answer the most likely questions to be asked at the party by Tara's parents" "Why are you going even though you hate her soo much?" "Her parents and grand parents raised me as their own there no way am going to disappoint them" She really was a good person doing something like this for the people she loved although it hurt her soo much. "For the meet ups I'll check my schedule and see when I'll be less chanced " "Great. Thank you once again I owe you one" She said after they had exchanged numbers. He knew he was in in on drama and entertainment while still doing what he could to save others from her. I mean who won't be curious at this point? Why did she want to prove she had a boyfriend soo badly that she had to ask him. He doesn't look like the most approachable guy you can meet for something like that. he looked cold and aloof but here she asked him without a second thought there was a huge back story to this an she was in to find out.

Jason like promised looked through his schedule and picked out the time when they will meet while she picked out the spot. It wasn't a top tier restaurant like he expected but the park. Which was bringing flashbacks to the time when he had no money, and he hated remembering that time. He tried soo hard not to complain but was clearly uncomfortable. Manny couldn't even notice this she was busy talking on and on about herself. "Am sorry can you say everything you just said again?" "I said we should start with the basis. I don't have any start up business cause all my ideas had flunked, and I don't have a stable job either just jumping from one kitchen to the next." "So you're a local chef" "Man do I wish I was. "I don't like trying new things" 'Do you have any better ideas? Why are you shutting down all my suggestions?" she was getting really annoyed that she was the only one bringing up ideas. Jason just rolled his eyes in his head how can she change her mood as quickly as you snap your fingers? "Fine I agree" "Great I'll send you the address of the event and will text you the rest of the most likely questions to be asked. And don't come late okay?" "Aren't we suppose to come together?" "Not necessarily. I'll take the bus." 'Okay. Fine by me'. He said before she walked away. He made sure she got on the bus safe before calling his personal assistant to come pick him up. "You owe me $10000" He texted her 'For what?' "For being your boyfriend of course. You didn't think I'll do it for free did you?" 'Oh...' Jason was only joking with her because he knew there was no way she could give him such an amount, but he didn't expect to see her next text be "Deal" His eyes widen in surprise before he chuckled. She was really unpredictable. His ride finally arrived and instead if giving his PA some scolding, he just got in which surprised him, but he had other things to worry about…
