The Mind Games

Episode 1: "The First Kick"

Soru Aikawa had never truly lived for himself.

Born into a wealthy Japanese family obsessed with status and money, Soru’s life had been a long, suffocating list of "expectations."

His father, Masanori Aikawa, was a rich businessman who only saw Soru as a future doctor — nothing more.

His birth mother, Hana Aikawa, had tried to protect him, but after his father’s countless affairs, she divorced Masanori and left the family.

Since then, Soru had been trapped between five stepmothers, nine siblings (only three blood-related to him), and the constant pressure to "be something great."

The only person who truly believed in him was his latest stepmother, Emiko Aikawa, a kind woman who told Soru:

"You don’t have to be a doctor, Soru. Just be someone you love."

But Soru… didn’t know what he loved.

He didn't even know who he wanted to be.

At 15 years old, Soru found himself switching to his 10th school —

Shinari High School — a fresh start that felt like just another meaningless day.

Walking through the crowded halls, Soru wore his usual tired expression, carrying a crumpled schedule in one hand.

Next to him was the only person he’d just met:

a boy named Kashikoi Minato — a sharp-looking kid with glasses and a knowing smirk, who seemed way too smart for his age.

As they strolled towards the courtyard, Soru mumbled,

"I don't even know why I'm here..."

Kashikoi chuckled, adjusting his glasses.

"Me neither. Maybe fate dumped us together."

That's when they saw him —

a boy juggling a soccer ball effortlessly with his feet, the ball dancing on his legs like it was part of his body.

His name was Renji Takasawa.

Renji, noticing the two boys staring, smirked, caught the ball with one foot, and called out:

"Yo! You two! You wanna join the soccer team?"

Soru blinked.

"Soccer team...?"

Renji jogged over, spinning the ball on his finger like a basketball.

"Yup! We call it Shinari FC. Same as the school, just cooler."

"Come on, you look like you got some hidden talent or something."

Before Soru could protest, Renji grabbed both Soru and Kashikoi by their shirts and dragged them toward the pitch.

On the field stood another boy:

Momo Yashiro — a tall, smiling kid with messy hair, wearing a captain's armband even though he didn't really look serious enough.

Momo introduced himself, laughing:

"I'm Momo! Defender! If you wanna sign up, just write your name and signature right there."

He pointed to a crumpled registration paper on a bench, already filled with scribbled names.

Without letting them think, Renji literally forced Soru and Kashikoi to take the pen.

Soru Aikawa’s Signature:

Messy, rushed, and slanted to the right — like someone who didn’t care what he was doing.

It almost looked like "Soru" was written by a tired cat.

Kashikoi Minato’s Signature:

Clean, precise, with sharp angles — every letter perfect, like an architect drawing a blueprint.

Renji snatched the paper from their hands, raised their arms high in the air like a referee announcing a winning goal, and shouted:

"Welcome to Shinari FC, teammates!!"

The small crowd of players on the field cheered and laughed.

At that moment, Soru felt something weird inside his chest —

not fear, not pressure…

but something warm.

Like, maybe... just maybe...

this was the first time someone actually wanted him for who he was.

Meanwhile, because of Soru’s messed-up childhood (with his father constantly cheating and ignoring real love), Soru developed a pervy, cheeky side without even realizing it.

Every time a cute girl walked past the pitch, Soru’s neck almost snapped from staring —

making Kashikoi slap the back of his head and say,

"You hopeless idiot."

But for once, Soru didn't mind.

Maybe being hopeless wasn't so bad, after all.

To be continued...

Would you like me to also help you design Soru, Kashikoi, Renji, and Momo's football style, appearance, and personality stats next?

🔥 It would make your story even richer!

The Mind Games Episode 3: "The Final Stage (Pervert Trial)"

Alright! Here's your Episode 3 of The Mind Games —

pure chaos, full of jokes, perverts, dreams, and pain — just like you wanted:

The Mind Games

Episode 3: "The Final Stage (Pervert Trial)"

It was supposed to be a normal day.

Just another step in the brutal trial to join Shinari FC.

Soru, Kashikoi, Rin, and Kazama stood on the pitch, breathing hard after yesterday's nightmare.

Today, a new face joined them:

Ichiro Hazama — a lightning-fast midfielder who could outpace anyone. His playmaking was godlike, his movement was poetry.

But... he didn’t believe in himself.

Every time he did something amazing, he doubted it was real.

Riku clapped his hands loudly.

"Alright, FINAL STAGE TIME!"

Kyo smirked.

Renji and Momo, two original Shinari FC members, came to watch.

Momo yawned, Renji grinned like a maniac.

Renji: "I love the final stage!"

Momo: "You disgusting pervert. It’s not that kind of stage."

Final Stage Description:

Kyo dropped the bomb:

"Final test is simple:

you must watch a women's bathhouse through the window...

without getting noticed!"

Everyone blinked.

"HUH?!?!?!"

Kashikoi was mortified.

Kazama punched the air in excitement.

Rin stayed silent, stone-faced.

Soru grinned ear to ear like he just won a lifetime supply of free ramen.

Ichiro, the newbie, almost passed out from embarrassment.

Trial Process:

They crouched behind the bushes near the forbidden wall where the women's bath was.

Ichiro tripped over a rock immediately, making a loud noise.

Kazama accidentally screamed, "BOOBA!!" and had to be dragged back.

Kashikoi hid behind Rin, red-faced, whispering,

"I shouldn't be doing this! My IQ is too high for this stupidity!"

Rin simply stood there... completely unseen, blending into the shadow like a ghost.

And Soru?

Soru...

He...

He passed instantly.

Not even trying.

Like a natural-born pervert, he peeked at the window and snuck away casually without getting caught.

Renji laughed so hard he rolled on the ground.

Renji: "SEE?! I'm not the only pervert! We have a true KING now! A TRUE PERVERT KING!!!"

Kyo and Riku gave each of them a thumbs up.

They passed.

(Though Ichiro almost ran away crying.)

Official Announcement:

"Congratulations.

You five are now OFFICIAL members of Shinari FC!"

The boys celebrated, even Kazama who was crying tears of joy ("I CAN BE A STRIKER!!!").

Meeting the Goalkeeper:

Soon after, the boys were introduced to the team's keeper:

Genji Junipor —

Not naturally talented.

Not flashy.

But he was a WALL.

He would literally throw his body in front of any shot, even if it meant breaking a bone.

He had already lost a kidney once blocking a shot.

Genji grinned at them, his face already bruised from yesterday's practice.

"Welcome, newbies."

Soru immediately asked:

"Where's the free food?"

Kashikoi smacked him on the back of the head.

"Shut up, you're embarrassing me!

This is SOCCER, not FOOD-CON!"

Soru tilted his head.

"But... I thought soccer was about eating and celebrating?"

Kashikoi facepalmed.

"Hopeless... You're hopeless, Soru."

Where's the Manager?

Kashikoi, trying to change the subject, asked:

"Where's the manager? Who organizes our training?"

Momo shrugged.

"We don't have a manager.

We train ourselves."

Everyone's jaws dropped.

No coach. No manager. No structure.

It was complete madness.

First Training Session:

Their first "training" started immediately.

Rin danced around defenders with silky dribbles.

Ichiro sprinted so fast he made defenders dizzy.

Kazama shot rockets into the net — and cried when he missed.

Kashikoi showed slick passes and smart movements.

And Soru?

Tripped over the ball.

Passed to the enemy by mistake.

Kicked the air instead of the ball.

Kyo sighed.

Riku facepalmed.

Momo and Renji laughed hysterically from the sidelines.

But even as Soru stumbled, fell, and made mistakes,

something inside him burned brighter.

He didn't quit.

He didn't give up.

He kept getting up.

Even if he was the worst player on the field right now...

Maybe one day, he could become something amazing.

Day 1: Getting Their Jerseys

The next morning, the boys were called into the school’s dusty old gym.

Waiting for them were Momo, Renji, Kyo, and Riku —

Momo opened the box dramatically:

"These aren't just shirts... they're your SOULS now!"

Renji jumped in:

"Treat them better than your underwear!"

Day 2: Training for Practice Match

Kyo gathered them:

"In 2 days, we have a practice match against

Sairen High School.

They're not strong...

but if you slack off, they'll crush you."

Practice was brutal.

Soru missed easy shots... but slowly started improving after Kyo gave him a simple rule:

"Just shoot where the keeper isn't."

Kazama kept crying when his shots hit the post.

Ichiro struggled at first, but once he sprinted full speed, nobody could catch him.

Rin dribbled circles around everyone. Still didn’t say a word.

Kashikoi showed flashes of brilliance, assisting every time.

Momo kept yelling:

"RUN! MOVE! You think girls will date losers like you?!"
