Episode. Drunk
The bass thumped like a heartbeat gone wild. Neon lights smeared across the crowd in purples and reds, painting everyone in something unreal. Sorenzo sat at the edge of the bar, one hand wrapped around a half-empty glass of bourbon, the other tapping restlessly against the wood.
Across the room, laughter erupted from a group near the DJ booth. He glanced over, saw a girl toss her head back mid-laugh, her silhouette blurred by flashing lights. For a moment, he thought about walking over. Then took another sip instead.

Vireya woke up to the sound of her alarm buzzing on her phone. She groaned and reached over to hit snooze, wishing for just five more minutes of sleep.
But, knowing her dad would be ready to send her off soon, she dragged herself out of bed. The cool morning air hit her face as she shuffled over to the window and peeked outside.

By 7:30, They were out the door, one had her backpack slung over one shoulder, the other had earbuds in, blasting music through her headphones. it was a short drive to school, just 5 minutes.
