Silent Scars

Chapter 1: The Unknown Morning

A faint ray of sunlight slipped through the half-drawn curtains and fell across his face. He stirred, groaning softly, as the weight in his head pulled him back into a haze. It wasn’t just a hangover—it felt like poison running through his veins. His eyes fluttered open, slow and uncertain. The ceiling looked unfamiliar. So did the scent in the air. Then, as he turned slightly, he froze. A girl was lying beside him on the bed—her back to him. Her body, completely bare beneath the soft white sheet, rose and fell with her calm breathing. Her hair spilled across the pillow like ink, wild and tangled, hiding any glimpse of her face.

Kunal oberoi
Who is she....?
He quickly sat up, trying not to make a sound. He grabbed his clothes off the floor—wrinkled, tossed in haste—and got dressed with trembling hands. Without sparing even a glance back at the bed, he walked toward the door, each step heavier than the last. But as soon as he opened it—flash! flash! The blinding lights of cameras, the chaos of shouting voices, and the sharp glint of badges filled his vision. Police. Media. Microphones. He wasn’t just stepping out of a room— He was walking straight into a storm.
"Mr. Kunal Mehra?" a voice rang sharp and commanding amidst the chaos. He blinked at the sea of flashing cameras and uniformed officers. Before he could say a word, two policemen stepped forward, their grip firm yet controlled. One of them read out his rights—words he barely registered.
Police Officer: Mr. Kunal Mehra?
Kunal oberoi
Kunal oberoi
(confused, cold) Yes?
Officer 1: You are under arrest. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say—
Kunal oberoi
Kunal oberoi
: (interrupting, stern) Don’t you even want to know who I am, Officer?
The senior inspector steps forward, recognizing the name]
Inspector: (calmly) We know exactly who you are, Mr. Mehra. Please cooperate, sir. The media is everywhere. Let’s not create a scene. You can explain everything at the station.
Kunal oberoi
Kunal oberoi
[Kunal glares but stays silent. He nods and walks with them.]
As they walk toward the police vehicle, Kunal takes out his phone and makes a call.]
Kunal oberoi
Kunal oberoi
(calm but sharp) Get my lawyer. Now.
[Scene: Inside the police van – silence, tension thick in the air]
(to Kunal) You’ll be at the station in ten minutes.
Kunal oberoi
Kunal oberoi
Coldly staring ahead) We’ll see.
[Police van nears the station gate. Outside, multiple black SUVs and private security are already waiting. A tall man in a black suit steps forward—it’s Kunal’s lawyer, Adv. Raghav Sinha.]
Inspector: (surprised) Who the hell—
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
(firmly) My client will not step out until I speak with him. He has rights, Inspector. And I hope you haven’t violated any.
Inspector: (tense) Mr. Sinha, this is a serious matter.
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
And that doesn’t change the law, does it? You should know better.
[Security forms a line between media and the van. Kunal steps out, composed, with Raghav by his side.]
Kunal oberoi
Kunal oberoi
(quietly, to Raghav) Don’t let them touch me unless they have proof.
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
(nodding) I’ve already filed a stay on media interrogation. We’ll handle this… our way.

Episode 2

Police Officer: okMr. Mehra, one last thing. You’re not allowed to leave the city until further notice.
Kunal oberoi
Kunal oberoi
(coldly) I’m not running anywhere.
Kunal and Raghav sit inside the car – dark tinted windows, tense silence for a moment]
Kunal oberoi
Kunal oberoi
(looking at Raghav) Tell me, what’s the matter? What the hell is going on?
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
(sighs, serious tone) Kunal… do you remember anything from last night?
Kunal oberoi
Kunal oberoi
Confused) No… Nothing. Just… pieces. My head feels like it’s been hit with a hammer.
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
(pauses, then pulls out his phone) You’ve been accused of rape, Kunal.
[Kunal freezes — eyes wide, disbelief written all over his face]
Kunal oberoi
Kunal oberoi
What? That’s… That’s not possible. I don’t even remember… anything.
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
Someone sent me this a few hours ago.
[He taps on the screen and shows Kunal a video. In the video: a blurred room, shaky footage—but clearly shows Kunal forcing himself on a girl. The girl is struggling, crying, and his voice is slurred, aggressive.]
Kunal oberoi
Kunal oberoi
(whispers, shocked) No… no… this isn’t real. This can’t be me...
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
(serious) That’s the problem, Kunal. so who is that person..
. . . . . . . . . .
[: Kunal's bungalow – a luxurious, house in Delhi. He steps inside, still dazed. Inside, his entire family is gathered.]
His father, Mr. Vikram Mehra – a famous binessman with a sharp gaze. His mother – emotional but silent. His elder brother – tense and restless. His grandmother – sitting quietly, holding her rosary, worried.]
vikram mehra

shalini mhera
(knl mother)
shalini mhera (knl mother)
(choking up) Son... what have you done? Something this serious?
[All eyes are on Kunal. He doesn’t answer. Instead, he glances at Raghav, then walks away.]
Kunal oberoi
Kunal oberoi
Raghav… explain it to them. I can’t deal with this right now.
He exits. Raghav takes a breath and turns to the family.]
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
Mr. Mehra, Mrs. Mehra... Kunal has no memory of last night. We believe he was drugged. But right now, an anonymous video has surfaced. It shows him... forcing himself on a girl.
[Gasps echo through the room. His mother stifles a sob. His grandmother closes her eyes tighter, her fingers trembling on the rosary.]
vikram mehra
vikram mehra
(firm, authoritative) Raghav... I don’t care how bad it looks. I don’t care who’s behind it. Just handle it.
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
Sir, we’re doing everything possible
vikram mehra
vikram mehra
No, you listen to me. You know exactly who we are. Our reputation cannot—must not—be tarnished. Fix it. I don’t care what it takes. Do you understand?
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
(nodding) Crystal clear, sir.

Episode 3

Kunal’s Bedroom – dim lights, heavy silence. As soon as Kunal shuts the door, he explodes.]
[He throws a glass across the room – it shatters against the wall. He punches the mirror above the dresser, and it cracks instantly. Blood trickles down his knuckles.]
Kunal oberoi
Kunal oberoi
(yelling at himself) What the f*ck is happening!
[Moments later, he steps out – still shirtless, wiping his face with a towel. That’s when Raghav enters quietly.]
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
You okay?
Kunal oberoi
Kunal oberoi
(coldly) Do I f*cking look okay?
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
(ignores the tone) Listen… I’ve been thinking. Try to remember… the girl. Anything odd? Anyone suspicious last night?
Kunal oberoi
Kunal oberoi
(frustrated) I don’t remember her. Not her name, not her face… nothing. I don’t even know what happened after the second drink.
[He sits on the edge of his bed, burying his face in his hands.]
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
(calm but focused) I’ve pulled every piece of information I could. Guest list, CCTV footage, bartender’s statement... everything. We need to solve this before it even reaches the courtroom.
Kunal oberoi
Kunal oberoi
: (looking up, eyes burning) And what if we can’t? What if they don’t believe me?
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
Then we make them believe you. But first—we find out who that girl is. And what the hell really happened last night.
[Raghav’s phone starts ringing. He checks the screen and answers quickly.]
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
(serious tone) Yes? …Okay. We’re coming right now.
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
We have to go. To the hospital.
Kunal oberoi
Kunal oberoi
(confused) Hospital? Why?
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
The girl… she’s there. And her family too. We need to try and settle things before this explodes further.
Kunal oberoi
Kunal oberoi
: (clenching his jaw) Settle? You mean negotiate?
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
Call it whatever you want, Kunal. Right now, damage control is the priority. If we don’t move fast, this could hit the media like wildfire... and once it does, we lose control.
[Kunal grabs a shirt, buttons it up hastily. He doesn’t say a word—his mind is racing. Guilt, confusion, and anger battling inside him.]
[They walk out of the room, silence stretching between them as they head for the car.]
. . . . .. .. . . ... . . . A rundown government hospital – dim lights, cracked walls, the smell of disinfectant mixing with silence
[Kunal and Raghav walk through the narrow corridor with a police officer and a tired-looking doctor.]
Police officer -_. (in a low voice) There’s no problem now, sir. She was just a waitress. No parents… only a younger brother, barely five years old. No one powerful to back her. The evidence—well, that’s been taken care of.
[Raghav glances at Kunal, who keeps his eyes ahead, jaw clenched. The doctor nods silently.]
Doctor: She’s sedated. Won’t be a threat. Won’t even reach court.
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
[Raghav to the police and doctor:] Good. Keep it that way. We’ll handle everything from here.
[Suddenly, a sharp scream echoes through the corridor.]
Voice of the Girl (from a room nearby): “Please! Please leave me! Please… leave me!!” (her voice trembling, filled with pain and fear)
[Everyone freezes. The scream pierces through Kunal like a blade.]
[Kunal turns slowly, his face pale. The door to the room is slightly open. He sees her—half-conscious, struggling in panic, gasping for air, her body trembling violently.]
[Kunal's breath catches. His chest tightens. He can’t look anymore.]
Kunal oberoi
Kunal oberoi
(softly, to himself) What the hell is happening to me…
Just after Kunal walks a few steps away from the room]
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
Raghav notices Kunal’s reaction, walks up to him calmly. Puts a hand on his shoulder to stop him.]
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
(quietly) That’s her.
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
Her name is Mahima.
Kunal oberoi
Kunal oberoi
[Kunal looks away, struggling to breathe. Guilt is clearly visible on his face.]
Raghav sinha
Raghav sinha
: (firm, controlled voice) Don’t worry, Kunal. I’ll handle everything. This will all go away, just like it never happened.
