Once upon a time there was an Emperor Lee. In this book, it is narrated about the life of the great Emperor Lee Seojun. He ascended the throne at the age of fifteen because of his father's, the former Emperor's death.

He was raised with love, care and respect by Lady Chang Eunmin, a simple and decent omega appointed by the Empress to look after the crown prince. Because of the polite and sweet nature and lack of his own mother's presence the crown prince grew love for his appointed maid. He started to see Chang Eunmin as his mother.

The time passed and Seojun grew up into a handsome, strong ruler. Because of some teachings from his beloveds, there was only one motive in his life and that was to conquer the neighboring kingdoms and build a vast and strong empire.

His early years of rule were filled with bloodshed and political matters. Making him a more strong and sharp-minded one with his mother's [Chang Eunmin] advice and his minister like father's advice.

He was like a strong pillar in front of the world now, which people knew cannot be removed easily. With his Mother's [Eunmin] love and father's [Minister] guidance he was now the strongest Emperor.

His pride, and ego was boosted every time and he loved it. Why would he not? It's his doings anyway, he should be proud of the Empire he built. But, in all this, he never forgets his Mother like Lady and the Father. He gives them the upper hand in the palace and a place in his life. He always loved them wholeheartedly.

And at the age of twenty-one after winning a war, he took his first Omega consort, a princess from a defeated kingdom. But, he never really cared. Love, and romance was not his type. His only motive was to build a vast empire and so he continued.

A few years later, to build a kind and harmonic relation between the two kingdoms he married a noble beta woman from the kingdom.

However, despite two marriages, he still was not able to build a lovely relation with his wives, or simply he did not try. He was getting old and because of this the former Empress was getting worried about his life and the future of the kingdom.

They wanted an heir. They wanted their Emperor to have a child. The former Empress consulted about this with Lady Chang Eunmin as the Emperor never disobeyed her requests.

Lady Chang Eunmin tried to talk with the Emperor, but he politely rejected her saying he might marry anyone 𝘴𝘩𝘦 wishes, but he would not be able to build a lovely relation between them, so it's of no use. He does not want to captivate another bird in his golden cage.

Lady Chang Eunmin, despite being worried, did not pressure the Emperor more because she knew he would have agreed if it was in his hands.

Time passed quickly, and the Emperor was now twenty-eight years old. More mature, stronger, a handsome young Emperor to whom anyone would bow. His name was enough to shake everyone's heart in terror.

He had his eyes on another beautiful kingdom, a small yet eye-catching one which took the Emperor's heart. He wanted to conquer it at any cost. And for this purpose, he paid a visit to the kingdom as a commoner.

But... everything changed when his eyes landed on the Omega prince of the Kingdom. The soft, delicate and beautiful features. The fierce eyes and the bravery of the omega took Emperor's heart and now his motive was to win the omega not the kingdom.

The Emperor’s nights were sleepless and days were restless. He just wanted the Omega to be his. This did not go unnoticed by Lady Chang Eunmin and the Minister. They asked Seojun but this time he did not say anything to them.

He wanted to win the Omega by his heart, by his efforts. He knows anyone would be ready to marry him just by hearing his name. But, he wants the Omega to love him as a person, as a lover.

And his wishes were listened to, he was blessed with the Omega. He married him.

At the start their marriage was working out well, them being lovey-dovey and caring for each other. Teasing each other here and there. Seojun spending time with Minhyuk— his newly-wed omega.

They were happy in their own world, but as time passed the distance grew, shoulders heavy with the weight of the kingdom. The Emperor started to spend his nights and days on the Kingdom's well-being.

Minhyuk did not say anything, he wanted his husband, but he knew the outcome of marrying an Emperor too. He was happy before, so why should he back away when the Emperor needs him. He started to care for Seojun in the shadows. He did not let the Emperor know and still helped him by reading and checking some papers while the Emperor would be out of his chamber he would sneak in and do his work from neatly setting the bed to reading the papers.

The Emperor liked it, he liked the care and affection given. And he knew who it could be, it would always bring a soft, genuine smile on his lips whenever he would witness it.

But, suddenly the papers were wrongly checked, and there were a few mistakes. It was about a really important matter of the kingdom, for the people. But it was just done with carelessness. Suddenly, a lot of questions arose in the court and the ministers started to question the Emperor. Being raged, the Emperor mistrusted the Omega and thought it was on purpose.

Lady Chang Eunmin and Empress Dowager knew everything about this. They knew the reason behind those tired yet shiny eyes of the Emperor. And at last they came to the conclusion that no Omega or ladies from Harem or anyone is allowed to meddle in the court's work.

Minhyuk, being confused and hurt, did not say anything. What could he even say? It must be his carelessness, or else he does his work properly. He was always interested in court matters, so he tried to help. But it seems like it did not work out here.

Time started to pass and as usual the Emperor forgot the Omega and married life and once again stood in the battlefield to conquer another strong kingdom to strengthen his rule. Minhyuk was by his side in everything, but maybe the Emperor was too blind to notice it or someone had put the blindfold on his eyes with fake words?

Anyway, the time started to pass and Minhyuk got pregnant. He was pregnant and in his last month and like always, the Emperor was gone. He was not in the palace, he was miles away from there with a heart filled with pride to win yet another Kingdom.

When he came back, Minhyuk had already given birth, it was difficult for him because of his Alpha being not near him. He got weak. The marked pregnant Omegas get difficulty in giving birth if their alphas are not by their side for the whole meantime.

But, the Emperor did not know, for him, it was common. Omega gives birth, nothing new. He was happy to be a father, happy to get a child. He was blessed with a son. But, he did not forget to ask about his wife too, he asked Lady Chang about Minhyuk's well-being, and he was assured.

The Omega, not knowing about this got hurt, he did not like his Alpha coming from the war and not even ask once for him? But, what shocked him more was another consort brought by the Emperor…

For the Emperor it was just another win, but for Minhyuk, his heart throbbed with pain. He did not know what to do. He wanted to ask him but did not have the courage.

Like this, unknowingly the distance grew more. It was not shown, but yeah it was not like before. They got busy in their own lives. The Emperor with his kingdom and the Omega with his child.

But, something unexpected happened and the prince was snatched from him, Empress Dowager took the prince and put him in another chamber. Why? He did not know. To him it was said that it was the Emperor's order. So how could he go against it?

With a heavy heart he gave in, that's what he could do. He had promised his parents he would not come to them even in his hardships if he had any day. They warned him to not marry the Emperor, but they just gave in to their son's happiness

The Prince started to grow, and once again sensing the distance it unknowingly pained the Emperor's heart and he gave in. He gave in to his ego and again made it up with his Omega.

Time started to pass, and the Prince grew up. Everything was going well. The Emperor and the Omega despite having some issues between them were trying to make it and work it out.

They were doing well, looking at each other, helping each other whenever they would be busy.

But one thing which they were not aware of was the conspiracies arising among the palace walls.

The Emperor who was always surrounded with the kingdom's matters and politics never really paid attention to these. And Minhyuk... He ignored. His life was going well with the Emperor and his child, so he thought to live happily until they could.

But, the thing he did not know was not only him but his whole family would turn into ashes in just a few moments.

He did not think the people not just wanted to bring him down, but his family too. The Emperor was suddenly accused of the wrong doings he never did. Minhyuk was suddenly thrown into the dungeon for trying to trespass and help the Emperor.

He was not allowed to meet his son, he was just put in the dark of the dungeon to rot there. He did not know what was happening outside. No one was there to let him know.

He felt helpless. He was not like this, he was never like this. But, he had given his words. He had agreed to not do any stunt. His hands were bound with a promise made to his Alpha.

And on the other hand, the matters were not going well with the Emperor. No one was ready to believe him. His own ministers were against him, he did not have any choice but to run. He was not the weak one to leave everyone and everything and save himself.

He stayed... stayed for his Omega and his son. No one believed him and he was put into the same dungeon a night before his execution, he met his Omega who was looking so pale and weak.

They did not say anything, but stayed in each other's embrace. Minhyuk was a bit mad at the Alpha for not letting him take action at the right time.

They did not know when the night was over and Minhyuk's eyes closed forever and Seojun was taken for execution.

And the prince. The little alpha, who was not too little to not understand the situation, was ready to take actions once he grew up. He will kill everyone who wronged him, his mother, his father. He would not leave them. He was filled with rage.

But, the poor soul was never given enough time to complete his desires. He was not given enough time to avenge himself. He did not get enough time to know more about the cruelties of the world.

It was like a curse for them. Just a few days back they were all happy, and enjoying their life and now it is ruined. Everything came to ashes.

A man named Nathan grumbled loudly as he closed the book harshly and placed it on the side table with a thud. He had a frown etched on his face, clearly showing his displeasure against the novel he just read.

He was told by his friend to give it a try and this would leave him to ask for more and would thank him for this masterpiece. Listening to this, he fell into the trap and just took the book from him and completed it the whole day.

But, given the basis of the plot, he does not think there would be another volume of it. And if there would be, then it will be a loss to the author.

He just sighed, cursing his friend and mentally taking a note to beat the shit out of him for suggesting such a weird plot. It irked him. He did not have a problem with tragedy, but the way Seojun was so neglectful towards his wives irked him.

As an alpha he just believes that, if you cannot take the responsibility then do not destroy others'lives. That's the reason for him being single even in his 30s. He just cannot bring himself up for any hook up or a relationship. And sometimes because of this he's been teased by his friends, but he does not care as long as it does not affect his life he is fine.

Anyway, he stood up from the half sitting-lying position and stretched his muscles. A groan escaped his mouth in relief as he made his way towards the bathroom to freshen up and sleep.

All the while, he could not bring himself up to forget about the plot line of the novel he just read. It made him more frustrated.

*He was under the blanket on the bed when he yelled kicking his feet.* Ugh, Ivan Petrov! Just wish to not come in front of me, or you're dead meat!

He said angrily, glaring up at the dark ceiling, and thinking of the ways he could beat his friend and even mentally beating him to pulp he felt satisfaction and he did not realize when he fell into the slumber snoring loudly after being mentally exhausted from the whole day.

Inside a room of a bedroom, designed into old wooden aesthetics, the man curled up into the blanket on the bed was enjoying his hot cocoa while reading a book when he sneezed hard.

*He was about to rub his nose when again he sneezed harder making his eyes a bit teary.* Ah… why does it feel like someone's cursing me too much?

He chuckled which soon turned into a loud laughter when he remembered about the novel he had suggested to his said friends. If he suffered then why alone? He told his both friends to not miss out on the masterpiece and read it away before it got too common because it deserved to be read. And he knew he was cursed for this now.

But, he is enjoying it. He would enjoy their pissed off expressions and would laugh at them wholeheartedly. Just the thought made him laugh so hard.

In the midst of it came a voice loud and clear. There were a few people standing beside her watching the same magical view made by her powers in front of them. It was like a mirror showing them the image of every desired thing they wanted.

The said girl looked beside her at her seniors and asked with a smile who nodded at her with a smile.

The soft voice echoed in the silent room as Nathan, the said alpha frowned and moved into his sleep slightly disturbed from his slumber and turned to the other side when he heard a few murmurs.

He groaned slightly, and yanked the hand away, but his eyes opened and he saw the red sparkles still in the surrounding air. His hazy eyes moved and looked around but found none, so he laid back thinking of it as a dream.

A young girl was standing beside the bed calling for someone. Her voice was soft, but almost complaining, she was trying to wake the omega sleeping on the bed but he wasn't waking. Instead, his body was burning and sweat was all over his forehead. He had a frown etched on his face, and moved slightly trying to find something.

Nathan moved forward towards the light, the white curtains surrounded him, suffocating him. He ran faster wearing a pastel colored frilled shirt. He felt tired, his feet hurt as he ran deeper, running behind the course of light, but it felt like it was going far away from him.

He sweated badly and tried to say something but words did not come out of his mouth. He heard a voice calling for him. He heard someone saying something, but he could not hear. All he knew was to chase the light.

The other women beside the said girl quickly closed their ears by putting their hands on them and shut their eyes tightly. They were worried for the said person as well but they feared of being deaf as well.

Her voice was shaking a little, clearly explaining how afraid she was.

The aforementioned man just hummed and pulled the sheets above his head to block any sunlight from falling on his pretty round face and disturbing his sleep. He could hear a female voice—an annoying duck trying to disturb his precious sleep. He could not understand what they were saying, but he just knew they did not have any other work then to disturb innocent people.

Shasha gasped in disbelief and walked towards the other side as well and snatched the sheets above him and spoke again in a loud voice near his ear.

She shouted on top of her lungs and backed away when the dead fish squirmed, getting his consciousness and sat up on the bed in a snap.

*He frowned and tried to glare at her with half opened eyes and a soft small pout on his lips.*

The voice came out in a soft complaining manner and the huge pout on his squishy face did not help either. He was looking anything but scary. His soft features and the small pout did not leave a chance to make everyone softly smile at him, forgetting about the disaster or a certain wild tiger.

But it did not last longer when they processed his words—process? Wait a minute—what is he saying? The soft smiles immediately turned into a frown of confusion as they stared at him with a questioning look.

But, shasha did not care. She walked forward with a soft smile and began.* 아, 맙소사! 무슨 일 생긴 줄 알았는데 오늘은 꼭 죽을 것 같아. [Oh, thank goodness! I thought something happened to you, and I'm definitely going to die today.]

The man frowned more hearing that and tried to open his eyes clearing the view, his voice widened like a saucer when he looked at the girl in bewilderment. Who is she? How did she get into his room? He looked around and—Oh, no, wait—whose room is this!? How did he end up here? He was in his room, he clearly remembers it.

The chamber was designed beautifully. Though Nathan was still worried and flabbergasted about how he came here, he could not help but just admire it. He loved it. So, he got up and started exploring the chamber. He found a mirror placed on the left side of the bed and a table in front of it with a seat to sit and get ready. A few of the accessories like hair pins, hair sticks or a few pieces of jewelry were placed, probably for the day.

He sat there and started to look at the accessories to find something useful for himself. But all he could find were the hair pins or jewelry which looked too girly to him. He disgustingly looked up and… till now he did not yet notice himself in the mirror, but now as he did… he screamed, loud in horror. Who was being so comfortable and exploring the chamber?

The maids got worried, and quickly ran towards him. It was shocking for them to witness the third consort behaving out of his character today and it was scaring them to the core. They knew if the emperor got to know about it then they are dead meat for sure.

Without wasting a second they all gathered around him and spoke one by one.

Han Moon-sun ~ Ó [Maiden]

But, this all was just ignored by the third consort. He did not pay attention to any of their shits and just looked at himself in horror. He froze on his spot, eyes wider, mouth agape. He had a disbelieving look and shasha could only ponder what he was thinking.

She took a step towards him carefully with a concerned look, her eyes soft and lips jutted downward.

She started with a softer tone and placed a hand on his shoulder, but before she could complete a loud yell could be heard with a crying afterwards.

Jungkook aka Nathan was left alone to think about his life decisions. The chamber was completely empty, and he was sitting on the bed holding his head in his hands, his elbows on his thighs. He was not able to decipher how he ended up here. He did not come here on his own, and for sure he does not sleepwalk at all! Then what could be wrong? Did they kidnap him? The thought crossed his mind and he gasped loudly smacking his palm on his lips dramatically.

He was behaving weird. It was not like him. It was not his style, not his way. And he could feel weakness as well. He noticed it all, he noticed himself looking pale and a sick person. But, till night he was fit and fine with a buff body. Then what could go wrong?

He was busy contemplating his own thoughts, it was messing his brain badly that his head started to hurt. And he could not take it anymore as he groaned loudly before throwing himself on the bed.

Ugh! What's wrong with me? Why am I behaving like this? So loud… and dramatic. This is not me. *He sighed loudly and massaged his temples.*

A knock was heard in between his blabberings making his voice muffled behind. He frowned and was about to say something, but before he could, the previous little girl with a few more entered and there was another unfamiliar lady behind them. Seems like they brought another one with them.

Jungkook just rolled his eyes at this and stayed at his place stubbornly. He did not look at them, pretty well ignoring them. But, the maids did not care. They were more worried about his health, so they made their way towards him.

*Shasha, the little girl sat beside him and asked softly.* 오빠, 지금 기분이 어때요? [How are you feeling now, oppa?]

He was not used to such soft gestures and warmth from anyone other than his mother, so it was a bit awkward and overwhelming for him. He backed away being uncomfortable.

Shasha just sighed and looked at the lady, a maid had called her here and now shasha also wanted her to have a look at him.

What is he missing? He was fine till last night. Is he still dreaming? But this dream seems too real to be just an illusion. An unknown place, an unknown world, an unknown time. Some people do believe that fairies exist. The thought makes them happy thinking there might be guardian angels for them, who would protect them, look out for their good and worse.

But, they are not just some fairies who were gifted some magical powers to play around with. They are made with utmost honesty and perfection, they are made to love and care. Though, that doesn't mean evil doesn't exist. In some places of the universe evil does exist. It's a balance of the universe.

The delicate, pretty imageries we had for fairies, them being carefree and always flying around with laughter and sparkling their magic wand to do as they wish. Ever thought that they had some special duties assigned. Some special powers are given to them to do their assigned jobs.

They are not always carefree. They had some matters to worry about, though some say they don't have to worry at all when they can flick their wand and make the magic happen.

But, what if they are not allowed? Everything in the universe runs with a balance. It only happens to the limit it is allowed to, just like that, the fairies got powers, but there are limits to it.

The fairies have powers but for limited use, and they can't go against nature. They have to submit, to obey it.

Because of this, the castle was noisy with chatter of worries and stress. The tension was thick in the air, the anxiety was written on their faces.

You all might have heard about the evilness that resides in the universe. Dark, creepy, wicked, sinful. The imageries of it have always been ugly and demonic. People imagine them as malicious and unholy. The kind, people want to stay away from and seek refuge. We have always thought of them as the ugliest creatures.

But the truth is far worse. The fantasies about them barely capture the truth. They are shown as ugliest, but they are not. They are the most beautiful thing you will ever see. Skin like moonlight, eyes that hold galaxies, lips that promise dreams.

Their beauty is a weapon, sharper and sweeter, alluring for eyes and wanting a person to submit completely. They are like a snare coated with silk and beauty. One glance of them and will lower your guards, forgetting about the morals, the painful screams of those who took the same path.

They reside in the cold, but their hearts are even colder where no warmth has ever bloomed. Emotionless and unfeeling. Their smiles are not carved from joy but from calculation and trap which would hypnotize you just enough to destroy you completely.

Their allure is not meant to be admired but obeyed and worshiped. It makes you wish, to dream if you could be like them, wear the same flawless skin. And between the wishes you had unknowingly obeyed the honey-sweet words of them.

Because evil does not cling to their hands, or stain their clothes. It lives inside them. It has embraced their hearts into something darker and deeper—a riddle, which if you try to untangle you will lose yourself completely into the trap.

Their darkness doesn't solve the riddles but embraces you in it to be like them. And when you give in willingly, completely entranced by them, you feel your own heart stop and become like them. Then you regret it, you curse the time you choose it, but you were never given the luxury to choose. Instead, you were chosen to be trapped in their entranced cage.

If you try to escape them are hunted cruelly and mercilessly. Their beauty will haunt you, their honey toned voice will crawl into your dreams, calling for you, turning it into nightmares. Tired and depressed when you turn back, they will be there but your heart has already stopped feeling and has turned colder like them.

In the pits of the darkness, stood a magnificent, dark, enchanting palace. Too alluring and luxurious for the eyesight. Too dreamy and majestic.

Moon veil Palace, the palace of the night of darkness blanketed by the soft, cold glow of the moon. In the universe, nothing is of your own. Everything is earned or given to you. But this palace is of a handsome demon, owned by him.

The more handsome he was, the more cruel he was. His sharp, handsome features hypnotized the other and let them bow in front of him willingly. His trance tarnishes the soul and the light, the softness inside the person completely dies and evil is born.

His cruelties were known by everyone very well, not only the demons, but the fairies were well aware of his mercilessness as well. His sharp, narrowed eyes would pierce through your soul, making you tremble badly.

Though emotions are something everyone has, either fairies, humans or demons. Some books say that their hearts are completely frozen, with no space for any warmth to bloom. But, for me, no one can escape from emotions.

Demons hearts might be cold and hard to melt. Because for them emotions are weakness, they had buried their emotions deeper into their hearts and what's left behind is desire and need.

Desire, makes a person go to any extent. He would do anything to get what he desires. It's an emotion too, your wants, but in a twisted and dark way.

No one has ever escaped from it. From their wants, not even the demon king. The master himself has bowed down to his desire, his eyes were sharp and red, glaring darkly at the demons in front of him. He sat on his throne authoritatively.

His inner council was present in the private council chamber. Their eyes were cold, but a glint of glamour shone brighter. Their postures straight and gazes were fixed on their master.

The blue moonlight spilled across the black glassed floor making it shine in soft silver. Master Tharoin Veyth stood still beside the tall window, his one hand formed into a fist rested against the cold glass of the window, the other curled behind his back.

His gaze wandered on the soft, misty clouds, drifting outside. The moon was shining brighter, he could see a silhouette of someone inside it, those soft features—but it quickly disappeared leaving a desperation and disappointment in his heart.

His cold, emotionless features didn't waver, but his eyes softened for a millisecond, showing the longing of years.
