Seducing My Villainous Husband

The Day I Died (Again)

Seraphina: Is this… Is this a dream?

Lady Mirelle (Maid): My Lady! You must hurry The carriage awaits for your wedding!

Seraphina:Wedding…? What wedding?

Lady Mirelle: To the Duke of Blackthorn, of course! The Shadow General! You promised not to faint again…

Seraphina: (heart pounding) This can’t be… I died. I remember the flames. The betrayal. The blade. I remember him…

[Flashback Message – 2 Years in the Future]

Lord Darius: Forgive me, Sera. It was always about the throne. You were just in the way.

Queen Celestine: Did you truly believe you could outplay us? How pitiful.

Kaelrith (Voice, distant): …You should’ve trusted me.

[Back to Present Chat]

Seraphina: No. This is the day I was forced to marry Kaelrith. The day everything began.

Lady Mirelle: Are you unwell, my Lady? Your hands are trembling.

Seraphina: I’m fine. Just… get me ready. This time… I won’t run.

Lady Mirelle: You… won’t?

Seraphina: No. This time, I’ll seduce my villainous husband before the world turns him into a monster.

[Later – Inside the Carriage]

Seraphina (to herself): Kaelrith Valenhart. Feared by kingdoms, branded a villain. But I saw him. The real him. Cold, yes—but never cruel. Wounded more than wicked. I left him alone last time. I won’t make that mistake again.

[Outside – Blackthorn Keep Gates]

Guard: His Grace awaits inside. Do not anger him.

Seraphina: He doesn’t frighten me.

[Inside the Grand Hall – Kaelrith’s Study]

Kaelrith: You’re early. Unusual for a bride forced to marry a monster.

Seraphina: And you’re just as charming as the rumors say.

Kaelrith: (smirks) So, you have heard the rumors.

Seraphina: I’ve heard you bathe in blood and devour souls. But I’m not one for fairy tales.

Kaelrith: Then you’re a fool. Or brave. Or both.

Seraphina: Perhaps I’m just your wife now.

And wives should know their husbands.

Kaelrith:

You didn’t say that last time.

Seraphina (startled): …What?

Kaelrith: Hmph. Forget it. Your chambers are to the east wing.

Stay out of my way, and you’ll stay alive.

Seraphina: You don’t scare me, Kaelrith.

Kaelrith: Then you *really* are a fool.

[Later – Seraphina’s Chambers]

Seraphina (to herself):He remembers something. Was he reborn too? No… impossible. Or is it?

Seraphina: If you’re truly the villain the world fears… Then let me be the woman who tames the shadow.

This time, I’ll fight for us. Even if it means walking through fire again.

Chapter 2: Shadows Beneath the Mask

Seraphina (to herself): The east wing is colder than I remember. Not just the air.

The silence. The stillness. It’s like living in a mausoleum.

Lady Mirelle (Maid): My Lady, should I prepare the bath?

Seraphina: Yes… and bring my crimson nightgown. The silk one.

Lady Mirelle: The one you said you’d never wear?

Seraphina: Plans have changed.

[Later – Seraphina’s Chambers, Candlelight]

Seraphina (to herself): Last time, I avoided him. Feared him. This time, I’ll go to him willingly.

I need to see more. Understand more.

[Door creaks open – Kaelrith’s Private Study]

Kaelrith: You again?

Seraphina: Am I not allowed to visit my husband?

Kaelrith: You’re not scared of me. That’s suspicious.

Seraphina (smiling softly): Should I pretend to tremble?

Kaelrith: It would be more believable. Why are you really here?

Seraphina: To talk. To know the man beneath the legend.

Kaelrith (laughs darkly): And what do you expect to find? A tragic soul longing to be saved?

Seraphina: No. But perhaps… a man who’s never truly been seen.

Kaelrith: Careful, Seraphina. You’re playing with fire.

Seraphina (stepping closer): Then maybe I was meant to burn.

[Silence. A shift in the air.]

Kaelrith (voice quieter): You’re not the same girl I married.

Seraphina: You noticed.

Kaelrith: Your eyes… They’ve seen war. Seen betrayal.

Seraphina (softly): And yours have seen too much death.

Kaelrith: This isn’t a fairy tale. I won’t become some shining knight just because you smile at me.

Seraphina; I don’t want a knight. I want you. All of you. Even the darkness.

Kaelrith: Then you're either lying… or you're more dangerous than me.

[Sudden gust – the candles flicker, then extinguish]

Seraphina:What was that?

Kaelrith (coldly): The wards are weakening.

A spirit crossed the threshold.

Seraphina (alarmed): A spirit?

Kaelrith: Blackthorn is cursed. Didn’t they tell you?

Seraphina: No. But I’m beginning to understand. This marriage wasn’t just political.

It was a trap.

Kaelrith: Smart girl.

Seraphina:So they wanted me dead. Again.

Kaelrith (surprised): “Again”…?

Seraphina: (covering quickly) Just a figure of speech.

Kaelrith: Hmph. You’re not what I expected.

Seraphina: Neither are you.

[Pause. Their eyes meet in the dark.]

Seraphina (to herself): This castle hides more than spirits. Secrets. Pain. Power. And him. I must learn it all—before the past repeats itself.

Seraphina: Goodnight, Kaelrith.

Kaelrith: You should fear me, Seraphina. You’ll regret it if you don’t.

Seraphina (smiling as she leaves): We’ll see who regrets what.

Chapter 3: Whispers in the Walls

[Dawn – Seraphina’s Chambers]

Lady Mirelle (Maid):My Lady? You didn’t sleep again?

Seraphina: No. The walls here… they whisper. I kept hearing things. Voices.

Lady Mirelle: The servants say this wing is haunted. They don’t come here after sunset. They say the last duchess went mad-

Seraphina:There was no last duchess.

Kaelrith never married before me.

Lady Mirelle (hesitant): That’s what’s strange, my Lady… The portrait in the hall—there’s a woman in a black veil.

Seraphina (freezing): A woman…?

[Later – Hallway of the East Wing]

Seraphina (to herself): This wasn’t here last time… A painting. Covered in dust.

That face…

[Text Message Appears – Faded, Glowing Slightly]

Unknown Whisper: He’ll ruin you too.*

Seraphina (gasping): Who’s there?!

[No reply. The air turns cold.]

Kaelrith (appearing behind her): You're up early, wife.

Seraphina (startled): Kaelrith… you scared me.

Kaelrith: Good. That means you're still sane.

Seraphina: There was a voice… A woman’s voice. It said—

Kaelrith: Don’t listen to the walls. They lie.

Seraphina: What happened here? Why is this wing cursed?

Kaelrith (coldly): Because this castle is built on the bones of the past. And some pasts refuse to stay buried.

Seraphina: Then we should *dig them up*, not pretend they don’t exist.

Kaelrith: You want the truth? Fine. But don’t blame me when it bleeds.

[Later – Kaelrith’s Study. Dim lighting, a fire crackling.]

Kaelrith: The woman in that painting—her name was Elira. She wasn’t my wife, but she loved me. Or said she did.

Seraphina: What happened to her?

Kaelrith: She tried to kill me. Poisoned wine. But I survived… and she vanished into the east wing. Some say her soul never left.

Seraphina: You think she’s haunting this place?

Kaelrith: I know it.

Seraphina: Then why keep her portrait?

Kaelrith: To remember what trust costs.

[Silence. Seraphina studies him.]

Seraphina: You trust no one, do you?

Kaelrith: Only fools trust freely. And I’m no fool.

Seraphina: Then maybe you need someone brave enough to prove otherwise.

Kaelrith (low voice): You keep talking like you know me. Like you’ve seen behind the mask.

Seraphina (softly): Maybe I have.

[He steps closer. The space between them tightens.]

Kaelrith:You're not what they told me you’d be. Not a spoiled noble’s daughter. Not a puppet.

Seraphina:And you’re not a heartless villain. You bleed like everyone else. You just hide it better.

[A flicker of emotion crosses Kaelrith’s face—gone in a blink.]

Kaelrith: Go back to your chambers, Seraphina. Before the castle whispers more lies in your ear.

Seraphina: Not until you answer one more question.

Kaelrith: Speak.

Seraphina: Why did you agree to marry me?

Kaelrith (pauses): Because I needed an heir. And because no one else dared marry the Shadow General.

Seraphina (gazing at him): That’s what you tell yourself. But I think there’s more.

Kaelrith (quietly): And if there is?

Seraphina: Then maybe this isn’t a curse.

Maybe it’s a second chance.

[A sudden, violent rattle echoes from the east wing. A mirror shatters on its own.]

Kaelrith (drawing his sword): Stay here.

Seraphina:Like hell I will.

Kaelrith: You're reckless.

Seraphina (grabbing a dagger): I’ve died before. I’m not afraid of ghosts.

[Moments later – East Wing, cold and full of shadows. Fog creeps in.]

Unknown Whisper (surrounding them): You don’t belong here, bride of blood. He will destroy you.

Seraphina (defiantly): I’ve seen destruction. I’ve seen death. He’s *not* the monster you think.

Kaelrith: Seraphina, stop—

[A translucent figure appears—Elira, her face twisted with sorrow and rage.]

Elira (Spirit): He lies. He’ll make you suffer… as I did.

Seraphina: Why did you try to kill him?

Elira: Because I loved him!

And he gave his heart to war… not to me.

Seraphina (softly): Then maybe your soul wasn’t broken by him… Maybe it was broken by your own regret.

[Elira’s figure trembles. Fades. Silence returns.]

Kaelrith (staring at Seraphina): You faced her without flinching.

Seraphina: I told you. I’m not afraid.

Not of you. Not of ghosts. Not of the truth.

Kaelrith: Then maybe you really are a fool.

Or maybe… something else entirely.

Seraphina: Maybe I’m the woman fate sent to *rewrite your story*.

(He stares at her—for once, silent. Something shifts in his gaze.]

Kaelrith (quietly):The east wing will no longer be off-limits. Stay as long as you like.

Seraphina (surprised): Is that… permission or trust?

Kaelrith:Call it what you will.

[He turns to leave—but stops at the door.]

Kaelrith: Be careful, Seraphina. The deeper you dig… the more danger you invite.

Seraphina (whispering): Let it come.

Seraphina (to herself): Because this time… I’m not the girl who died. I’m the woman who *came back to win.
