Prologue
"What?!" Elizabeth yelled out loud as she read book's climax.
"Dragan Swiftward grabbed his sword, chilly air surrounding it as if it were bathed in ice. He looked to his wife, no light in his eyes and he thrust forward, the cold sword entering the little body of his son. No sound was made as the little body fell backwards, staining the surrounding area in blood.''
Elizabeth went back and few chapters, her noodles getting cold, and read everything again word by word. No, she hadn't missed anything. The villain just killed his son. For no reason. But nothing was explained! It makes no sense! Even if it was just regular villain 'I have to erase my old life' shtick, it would be killing the mother in front of the child, not the other way round. It doesn't even say if he killed the mother!
"Then the villain was thrown of a cliff by the hero and the heroes lived happily ever after."
Of course.
"Wtf! Why!!! It makes no sense!"
As Elizabeth was ranting inwardly, she slurped up the already cold noodles that had been debrewing by her side. She didn't look at what she was doing as she was angrily scrolling on her laptop, looking for a way to contact the bullshit author. And then, it happened! She coughed out loud, hastily feeling around for her drink. Tears welled in her eyes as she struggled to breathe, and soon she collapsed. She cursed herself as she fell. The esteemed number seven, princess of the night. Had escaped death more times than she'd had birthdays had finally met her end to some cold noodles...

Chapter 01- Waking up
The night was cool and calm, the moonlight illuminating everything in its path. The light seeped through a window and bathed the body of two figures on a bed.

*Her eyes twitched open, the soft mattress dipping under her weight as she lifted herself up. She stretched her arms out, cleaning her eyes then examined her surroundings.*

Alright, I'm in a room. Clearly not a hospital because what hospitals have such vintage windows. *Her gaze looked outside, the moonlight looking ethereal in the bedroom.* Well, I'm clearly dead. That's a fact. But since when was hell so pretty? I'm definitely not going up so...

*She thought to herself for a few minutes then decided to forget about. Whether she was in heaven or hell, she was already dead. If it was heaven, cool. If it was hell, at least it was pretty. She wouldn't over think it anymore.*

*She finally looked to her side and met the face of a man sleeping soundly. She was... quite calm for the situation, and she didn't think of it at all. She simply went back to sleep, completely ignoring the person sleeping next to her.*
The sun shined brightly as dawn came, the light illuminating the entire room in a warm golden glow.

*Elizabeth winced as the bright light hit her closed eyes, making her curl up to somehow avoid the light. She was on the brink of asleep and awake, her consciousness bouncing between the two.*
A little knock sounded on the door opposite of the bed. It sounded small and faint like a fading dream. However, the knock came a few seconds later in the same frequency and beat.

*Her body lowered in the bed then bounced back up as someone climbed out of the bed. The sound of the door opening was like the catalyst that finally woke her up and her eyes flickered open.*

*She looked to the door and saw a little body cautiously walking to the bed, as if afraid of waking the occupant.*

*The first thing she could think of was--* --"That thing is so cute!!!"
Then her brain started working again.

Chapter 02 - A dream home
The little child, seeing his mother awake, hastened up his steps and was soon in the bed, in her arms.

*She hesitated, not quite knowing what to say as her consciousness hadn't been fully replenished.*

*He tilts his head slightly to the side, ad if not understanding the question.*

This...is my room? How did I get here?

By.... walking into the room.

*The child answered with more certainty this time, probably thinking it was some kind of trivia.*
Then, the man who had been standing at the open door, watching them silently finally moved and Elizabeth noticed his presence.

"Wasn't he in my dream last night? Am I still dreaming?"

Nathaniel, leave mummy alone. She needs to wake up fully first. You can talk later. Come, come. Let's go take a bath...

*The rather tall man pick up the boy, smiled at Elizabeth, stunning her, then quietly walked out the room.*

*She tightened her fist and harshly wiped her eyes with them. She clearly wasn't dreaming, and the pain was real. Then... This was heaven?*

*Under no circumstances could it be hell...*

*Something she had died too early to get. It had to be heaven!*

*She got off the bed, her bare feet meeting the soft rug underneath. She slowly walked to the window and looked outside.*
A wide garden. Flowers of white and green, seemingly yet to bloom filled the giant space. It looked so real yet so mythical at the same time. Like an oil painting that burst to life.

She walked to the door and saw a pair of fluffy white slippers, the feathers like that off a swan. She happily climbed into them and opened the door, walking into the corridor.
The corridor was lit with light candles, casting the floor in warm ambience. The walls were made with a cool dark wood and the floor under their feet was white as an exquisite jade. In the corridor, there were four doors. One, the same she just came out of and the others she had yet to find out.

*She walked down the stairs, looking around at every little thing that caught her interest, which was everything. As she marveled, her mind couldn't help but bring up... How much money one had to have to live in a house as such. Even if it was a dream, or heaven.*
