In Heaven
God's POV
Heaven was as peaceful as ever, filled with the presence of angels and goddesses. However, today was different. We had gathered for an important reason—to discuss the arrival of a pure-hearted baby blessed with extraordinary powers.
This child was special, unlike any other, and we needed to find the perfect parents. But that was no easy task. Choosing the right ones was crucial, for the baby's existence was rare, even by Heaven's standards. The fact that we were so concerned about this child showed just how important the decision was.
The air was filled with tension as the celestial beings awaited my decision. However, before I could make a final choice, I needed to hear their opinions.
Celestial Council
Goddess: "I think we should start looking for the baby's parents. It's our responsibility, after all. So let's begin."
I nodded in agreement but reminded them, "This isn't an ordinary baby. The child has already endured a cruel past, and we are all aware of that, right?"
The angels and goddesses nodded solemnly.
Angel: "Why not do what we always do? After all… aren't all humans good for the baby?"
I sighed at the angel's naïve statement.
Goddess: "You're right, but this baby needs truly loving and caring parents. We can't take any risks."
I added firmly, "There are many cruel humans on Earth, hiding behind innocent faces. If the wrong people find this child, they will cause harm. We cannot afford to make a mistake. Are we clear?"
The room filled with murmurs of agreement as everyone nodded.
Angel: "So, what's the solution?"
I took a deep breath before revealing, "I've already chosen a mother for the baby."
A heavy silence fell over the room as all eyes turned to me in shock.
Angel: "But didn't you say the baby would choose her own parents?"
I nodded. "Yes, and that's why I need you to listen carefully. I will tell the baby that I've chosen a mother, and if she accepts her, the problem is solved."
Goddess: "And what if the baby doesn't like her?"
A confident smile played on my lips. "That's impossible. I have chosen the right one."
Angel: "Okay, agreed. But what about the father?"
I hesitated before admitting, "I… I don't know yet. The girl I chose for the baby is… different."
Goddess: "Different? How so?"
I sighed. "I couldn't read her mind. It's as if she has shielded her thoughts."
A wave of surprise swept through the celestial beings.
Angel: "But that's never happened before!"
Goddess: "And what if she's a bad person?"
I reassured them, "I am certain she's good. But I need to find out why I can't read her mind. Of course, I can't read the baby's mind either—I gave the child a special power to protect her thoughts. But I believe this girl and the baby share some kind of connection."
I fell deep into thought. Could I have lost some of my own powers?
My contemplation was interrupted when an angel spoke up.
Angel: "But we still need to find a father."
I nodded. "I have a plan. We'll let the baby's mother choose her love. That's how it usually happens, right?"
Angel: "Yes, but the baby is too smart."** The angel smiled knowingly.
I chuckled. "That's why I'll show the baby the mother's life. A bond will naturally form, and along the way, we may uncover the reason behind the girl's… uniqueness."
The goddess and angel exchanged glances before nodding.
Goddess: "Alright, we'll try it. But be careful—the baby possesses incredible powers."
Angel: "And we must protect the child from humans who wish to cause harm."
I sighed. "I know this won't be easy, but I must go now and speak to the baby."
As I prepared to leave, an angel asked, "Can we meet the baby?"
I shook my head. "Not yet. Maybe soon."
Goddess: "We understand. But can you tell us more about the baby's powers?"
I replied, "The child retains some old memories. That's all I know for now. We will have to wait and see."
As I turned to leave, the goddess's voice stopped me.
Goddess: "You said the girl you chose and the baby share a connection?"
I nodded. "Yes, they do."
With that, I walked away, heading toward the baby's place.
At the Baby's Place
Just as I arrived, a playful voice rang out from behind me.
Baby: "Gotcha! Hehehe! Aren't you scared, old man?"
I turned around to find the baby grinning mischievously.
God: "Ah, where have you been, little one?"
The baby giggled. "Umm… with my friends! Want to see them?"
I frowned slightly, confused. Friends? No one else was allowed here besides me.
The baby pointed to the clouds.
Baby: "See that tiny one? That's Cherry! And that one on the side is Mouse! And that big—"
I chuckled, realizing the child was just imagining friends. This baby was lonely.
God: "Haha, so they're your friends, huh?"
Baby: "Hmm… But why am I here? You told me you'd find my mom and dad. Do you know how lonely I feel?"
The baby pouted, making my heart ache.
God: "I know, dear. Well, I've chosen your mom."
The baby's face lit up with excitement.
Baby: "Really?! Let's go! What are you waiting for?"
The sheer excitement in her voice made me laugh.
God: "You can see her, but you can't go to her just yet. Soon, though."
The baby's smile faltered, replaced by confusion.
Baby: "Why not? I thought you were sending me to her."
I met the child's innocent gaze.
God: "Do you know why you're here?"
The baby tilted her head. "Umm… No?"
I smiled gently.
God: "Let's just say… you have a choice to make."
The baby blinked curiously.
Baby: "A choice?"
I nodded, watching her face carefully before revealing—
God: "You get to choose… your dad!"
Baby: "WHAT?!"
Her eyes widened in shock.
(In Heaven – The Baby's Choice)
Baby's POV
Baby: "What are you saying, old man?! The choice is mine!" 😱 I said
(God folded His hands and nodded.)
God: "Yes, you're right. But listen to me, my cute baby. There are two things you should know. First, you'd better not call me 'old man,' okay?" 😑 Old man said
(The baby pouted, trying to understand what He was saying.)
God: "And second… yes, you have the choice to choose your mom." 😇 Old man said
Baby: "And why is that, ol— I mean, Mr. God?" 🤨 I ask him
God's POV
(Sigh) Ooh, this baby… I have to stay calm… right? 😦 I thought
(God rubbed His forehead and sighed.)
God: "Well, I can't tell you right now… but you'll know soon, okay? So, we better start the observation." 🙄 I said
(God smiled and ignored the baby's protests.)
Baby: "What are you doing?" 😯 Baby ask
(The baby asked, confused, watching God closely.)
God: "Well, I'm going to show you your mother, so stop talking and watch, okay?" 😅 I said
(God started making circles in the air.)
Baby: "But how— oooowwww!!!!!!!" 😱
(The baby was amazed by the view, too shocked to speak.)
(God created a fog in front of them, did a little magic, and soon, they could see the house of the baby's mother—or rather, the girl God had chosen.)
Baby's POV
Baby: "What is this? Such a small house… What is my mother doing in such a tiny place??" 😯 I said
(The baby frowned and pouted.)
God: "Let's see… We can watch what she's doing. And yes, this is definitely where your mother lives." 😇 Old man said
(But the house is so small… I don't like it. You can find another mother for me…) 😑
(I thought to myself, feeling disappointed.)
(God did something with His fingers, and now they could see inside the bedroom.)
(Ooh! Now I'm going to see my mother! I'm so excited!) 🤗
(I was filled with happiness.)
(But then… I saw a girl sleeping on the bed, her face completely covered by a blanket.)
Baby: "What?! She's sleeping?! Hey! Hey! Wake up! Are you my mom? Wake up! Look! I'm here!!! HEY!!!" 🤗
(I tried to wake her up, but she didn't move. Not even a little. Is she deaf or what? She didn't even flinch at my shouting!)
God: "Baby, she can't hear you. At all." 😇
(God said with a smile.)
Baby: "Oh… but why?" 😲I ask
(Thank God she's not deaf.) I thought
God: "We're just watching her from here. But while she's sleeping, let me tell you something about her, okay?" 😇 Old man said
Baby: "Ooh! Tell me! Tell me!" 😁 I said
(I was so excited to hear about my mother's story. Maybe she's the smartest and richest woman like I hoped! Or maybe she's very beautiful and cute like me… Hehehe.)
(God played with His fingers, did some magic again, and then spoke.)
God: "Look there! Her name is Y/N. She's 20 years old, a caring person who always helps others and animals. She's innocent and… umm… she's also… lazy." 🙄
(God said as I rolled my eyes.)
(Well, I can see that.) 😒
God: "She's an orphan." 😌 Old man said
(God smiled sadly.)
Baby: "Orphan? What's that, old—Mr. God?" 🤔 I aks
God: "Well, let's just say… she's my child." 😇
(God said happily. I was shocked.)
Baby: "Really? But how?" 😯
(I asked, looking at God.)
God: "Yes, dear. Her parents were my friends." 😇
(God said with a genuine smile.)
Baby: "Oh… okay!" 😀I said
(I nodded.)
(Suddenly, a loud noise came from my mother's side.)
Baby: "What is that?!!" 😱 I ask
(I shouted.)
God: "That's a gadget humans use to talk to each other. They call it a cellphone or mobile… something like that." 😇
(God explained.)
(My mom fumbled around, trying to find the thing. Finally, she grabbed it.)
Y/N: "Hello… hmm… yes… WAIT, WHAT DO YOU MEAN I'M LATE AGAIN?!" 😱 My- I mean the girl was too loud
(She screamed and sat up, her face now visible.)
Baby: "STOP IIIIITTTT!!!!" 😣
(I screamed, covering my ears.)
God: "Okay…" 😦 I hear
(God stopped the magic.)
Baby: "I don't want her to be my mother." 😑
(I said firmly.)
God: "WHAT?! But why?" 🤨 Old man ask
(God folded His arms.)
Baby: "Just look at her!" 😰
(I pointed towards the girl.)
"Her hair is messy, and sh—"
(I was about to continue, but—)
God: "You can't say that! She's cute, you know!" 🤔old man said
(God sighed.)
Baby: "Cute?! Look at her, then look at me! Do you think I look like her?" 🤔 I ask
(I laughed a little.)
God: "A lot, actually…" 🙄 old man said
(God muttered, but I didn't hear.)
Baby: "What are you saying? No way! She's too lazy. I want a beautiful actress to be my mother!" 🙄
(I said proudly.)
God: "Oh, look, Baby… I just gave you some old memories and a little bit of my power so you can talk, but that doesn't mean you can speak like this! You're being rude!" 🤨
(God's voice rose slightly, and I got scared a little)
Baby: "Umm… I'm sorry, old man… but can you just find another lady to be my mother, please?" 😗 I ask
(I made a cute face, trying to look sweet so God would give in.)
God: "And what exactly do you want, then? Tell me." 😒 Old man ask me
Baby: "Umm… let me think… Someone rich, beautiful, and most importantly… not lazy like her!" 😘
(I said confidently.)
God: "Wait, Baby… I just want you to give her a chance, dear. Maybe you'll like her soon." 😇 Old man said
(God smiled proudly.)
Baby: "I—bu—umm… well… let's see…" 🙄I said
(I wanted to say no, but I couldn't refuse the old man directly. I'll watch her first, then I'll definitely say no… though.)
God: "Good. Okay, let's continue." 😇old man said
(God smiled and began doing some magic again so we could keep watching her.)
(Hehehe… I'll watch her for a little while, then I'll tell the old man I don't like her and make him find another mother for me. Perfect plan!)
(I smiled to myself, feeling proud of my genius idea.)
(God glanced at me, clearly noticing my expression, but said nothing.)
"Oowkk~" 😏 (I hummed, pretending to be innocent.)
Y/N's POV
I was in a deep sleep, sitting in a park, playing with my teddy bear—the one with a small tear on its arm. I was so little, my tiny hands clutching it as I sniffled, tears rolling down my cheeks.
Then, a warm voice spoke.
"My child, don't cry. We'll buy you a new one." A gentle woman knelt beside me, her smile soft and comforting.
Beside her, a man chuckled, ruffling my hair. "Y/N, baby, Mama and Dada love you so much." His voice was full of warmth.
I looked up at them, my sobs quieting. They felt familiar. Safe.
But before I could reach out to them—
A loud noise shattered the dream.
RING! RING! RING! 📞🔊
"Aah, who's the idiot calling me this early?" 😫 I groaned, feeling around for my phone with my eyes still closed.
(After fumbling around, I finally grabbed it and peeked at the screen, squinting in annoyance.
My vision was still blurry from sleep, but as the name on the screen came into focus
Ugh… it's James.
"Why is my annoying friend calling me so early? He knows I love my sleep!" 🥱
I sighed and answered the call.
On the Phone Call
📞 Me: "WHAT DO YOU MEAN I'M LATE AGAIN?!!" 😰 (I shot up from bed, my heart dropping.)
📞 James: "Because you are late, Y/N… and yeah, good morning, by the way." 😏
Good morning? NO! It's a bad morning! 😒 I groaned internally and rubbed my temples.
📞 Me: "Morning's never good for me, Jamie. You should know that by now." 😑 (I grumbled, scratching my head.)
(He chuckled.) 😃
📞 James: "Okay, okay. Now get up and get ready as fast as possible. You know I'll cover for you with the boss… like always, Y/N."
I rolled my eyes.
📞 Me: "Okay, okay, I'll be there in… 10 minutes. Just please handle that psycho boss for me!" 😰
📞 James: "B—"
(Before he could finish, I cut the call and threw my phone onto the bed.)
I jumped up, panicked.
"Oh my God, my boss is going to kill me this time for sure… Aah!!" 😭 I screamed dramatically to myself before rushing straight to the bathroom.
My heart pounded as I scrambled to turn on the water, nearly slipping in my panic. Why didn't my alarm go off?!
I splashed my face with cold water, trying to wake myself up. Think, Y/N, think! Maybe if I got there fast enough, I could make up an excuse… or maybe—
No. There was no escaping this.
Today was definitely going to be a disaster.
After taking a quick bath, I slipped into a simple white t-shirt and blue jeans. I barely had time to dry my hair properly, so I just ran my fingers through it, hoping it wouldn't look too messy.
Grabbing my bag and phone, I took one last glance in the mirror. Decent enough.
But when I checked the time—my heart sank.
I was so late.
Without a second thought, I dashed out the door, praying I'd make it in time.
i wear my shoes and lock my door
Meanwhile in Heaven... 😇
(God stood watching the baby, observing the little one's emotions carefully.)
(God could tell the baby was feeling sad, but He simply smiled, knowing things would change soon.)
She will like her soon… I know it. 😇 (God thought to Himself.)
The baby, still staring at the scene unfolding below, suddenly turned to God with a pout.
👶 Baby: "Mr. God, I want to see my father." 🙄
(God waved His hand in the air, and the fog surrounding the vision cleared, dissolving into soft clouds.)
😇 God: "Your mom will find him soon, baby." (His voice was gentle but firm.)
The baby frowned.
👶 Baby: "But you're God, right? You have lots of magic powers… shouldn't you already know who he is? Like how you found my mother?" 😒baby ask like mature person (The baby crossed her arms, clearly unimpressed.)
(God let out a small chuckle at the baby's reaction.) 😇
😇 God: "Haha… my little cutie, listen. I can guide people, but I cannot control their hearts. Love is something that must happen naturally." God said
(God knelt slightly to meet the baby's eyes.)
😇 God: "But I can create situations based on people's emotions and thoughts… except for you and your mother. That's why I can't read your minds, and I don't know why. But I will find out soon, and once I do, I'll explain everything to you. So, for now, just trust me, okay?" God said
The baby blinked, then nodded slowly.
👶 Baby: "Ah, okay… but can I ask you something?" 😑baby ask to the god
😇 God: "Of course, little one. Ask me anything."God said to the baby
(God tried to guess what the baby was about to ask but… failed.)
👶 Baby: "You just said I have my past memories, right? What does that mean? Was I a human before… like them? What do you mean by 'old memories'?" 🤨 Baby ask the god
(God's gentle smile faded for a moment.)
😑 God: "…" (He swallowed hard, suddenly looking thoughtful.)
👶 Baby: "Umm… Mr. God, tell me!" 🤨 Baby said (The baby's curiosity grew.)
(God sighed deeply before answering.)
😇 God: "Look, little one… I will never lie to you. But the truth is… you have to find the answer yourself." God said to the baby girl
👶 Baby: "But, Mr.—"
(God raised His hand, cutting the baby off.)
😇 God: "Okay, enough questions for now. Let's start watching your mother again… she's probably running by now." God said
(The baby huffed in frustration but didn't argue. However, deep inside, the baby knew she had so many more questions left to ask in her small mind but she trust the god)
And God knew it too.
(God also knew that this baby was no ordinary child. Her mind was so sharp, and her powers were growing stronger every day. He had to be careful with how much he revealed.)
One step at a time….... don't have to rush 😇 (God thought as he waved his hand again, letting the vision of Y/N continue.)
