An alarm rings, Mia, the main character wakes up to a small room she stretches and almost falls asleep again when she heard a loud voice yelling for her. She runs downstairs as fast as possible just to see her mom's angry yet loving eyes staring at her.

"Hi Mom good morning l was ....." Mia froze when she saw her favorite dishes on the counter.

" Your up late and we don't even know which high school you will be attending. Do you know how worried I am?" Mia's mom said, this time with a less cold expression on her face.

Mia smiled at her mom she knows how easy it is to calm her down, so she goes over to her giving her a tight hug. " Come on mom chill there's no need for you to worry about everything, I know I will get an admission into high school I mean come on it's not that hard. anyway tomorrow is my 15th birthday so don't you think we should be planning for that instead"

Mia said to her mom giving her the signature puppy eyes. " You always know what to say don't you". Mia's mom said looking at her while giggling slightly.

While they were about to start eating together they heard a knock on the door. "Don't worry mom I'll check" she opened the door to see the mail man with their mail as usual. " Hi Terry "Mia said happily looking at the mail in his hands. " I got your mail Mia it's over here" Terry said giving Mia the mail in his hands "thanks Terry"

Mia closed the door while checking the mail, nothing was hers, so she was about to put them down when a black envelope flew to the ground. It had her name on it, so she opened the envelope.

 Letter to Miss Mia Beverly

" You have been accepted into Dark valley academy. all you will need will be provided because you are one of the lucky 100 students to win a scholarship. Location is confidential so all you need to do is accept, and you will be transported to the location of the school we hope to hear from you soon".

"And that's it nothing else" Mia felt shocked by what she just read but also relieved that she was going to high school. " Don't you think this letter is a little weird" Mia's mom felt uneasy about what she just heard. "It's fine maybe it's a really fancy private school every thing is okay mom don't get your self worried about everything". Mia reassured her mom.

"Your right there is nothing to be worried about my little girl is going to school" Mia's mom said feeling more confident and hopeful.

Mia wrote the acceptance letter and sent it to the school, getting a reply the next day that she would be picked up that evening.

Knowing that day was her birthday she was sad and happy at the same time. "Mom I'm sorry about me leaving you today, I don't want to, but I have no choice". Mia said to her mom while they were eating cake.

"Don't worry I am very happy that you will be able to attend high school, and you're going far away from me is so that you can meet new people. No matter were you end up just remember that your dad and I will always love you" Mia's mom said hugging her tightly.

A black car comes outside Mia's house to pick her up. Two men waiting outside the car to open the door for her. Mia finished packing up and said goodbye to her mom before getting into the car. she looked outside the window staring at her mom until she was out of sight. The car drove very far away from the city until it entered a dark forest where a large school was located. The car stopped and a really good looking guy with purple hair opened the door for her." Welcome to Dark valley academy I'am River the student council president".

River takes Mia inside the school hall. While walking in it Mia noticed a lot of strange things, everything was dark and spooky like it's Halloween, all the students were weird and even the cute guy taking her around had ears on the top of his head.

" Hey what are you thinking about" River asked staring at Mia's shocked expression.

River is a 16-year-old werewolf with a charming persona his purple hair and blue eyes makes people know he's an alpha. River has a shiny personality that attracts a lot of people to him. Unlike his dad the alpha male of the wolf pack who is a heartless cold demon in a werewolf coat.

" Earth to human you still alive because I have heard a lot about your kind and their not known to die that easily" Mia snaps out of it and that's when she realized this wasn't an ordinary school. " I'm fine, just a little shocked" Mia has always heard about humans getting scholarships to weird schools, but she didn't think she would be one of them.

" Here's our class, let me know if you need anything" River told Mia before heading to his seat. "Okay thanks for showing me around" she said as she walked away.

"Okay everyone we have a new student in our midst would you like to introduce yourself?" the teacher asked. "Sure, um my name is Mia, and I am a new transfer student. I am human, and I'm really happy to be here". Mia said shakily. " Okay Mia your seat is next to the white haired vampire. Who shouldn't be sleeping in class by the way." the teacher said while staring at Blade.

Blade is the opposite of River. He is the son of the heartless vampire running the vampire society. Unlike River Blade is a cold-hearted beast who doesn't care about anything else but himself. His white hair makes him stand out from other vampires with his piercing red eyes.

Mia goes to her seat which was next to Blade. After the class she tried to talk to him, but nothing she said could make him utter a word. He just kept staring at her with his piercing eyes showing no emotion. Soon after River came up to them," Hey Mia want to go grab some lunch I haven't shown you the cafeteria you know". He told Mia completely ignoring Blades presence. "Um sure why not" Mia said happily, she felt good that she finally found her first friend on her first day of school.

"I'll take her there no need to worry". Blade said looking at River with hate. "I didn't ask you for a favor now could you leave us alone". River told Blade with a threatening voice. " What would you do if I decide not to". Blade asked with a demonic smile painted on his face.

River took Mia by the hand and pulled her away from Blades side. Blade was not done having fun, so he also decided to hold Mia's hand putting Mia in a very tight spot.

"Let go of her" River said in a dangerous tone. " Or what" Blade said still maintaining his daring tone. River tried ignoring him, but Blade wasn't having it. Blade left Mia's hand and pushed River through the wall with his strength, River went flying leaving a hole in the wall. River finally lost his temper. Flying out of the wall he punched Blade in the face, both flying on the floor.

" Stop this. What the fuck do you both think your doing." Mia said tired of watching them fight like children. "Listen River showing me around the school is cool and all, but we're not dating, I just met you don't need to fight for me. And as for you Mr vampire, I tried talking to you and got ghosted brutally that was until River came in so stop pretending". She said leaving both of them motionless on the floor.

Mia goes to her dorm where she meets a girl. " Hi roomie, my name is Raven, and it's really cool to have a newbie staying in the same dorm with me". The girl said looking really excited.

"Hi I'm Mia it's really nice to meet you" Mia said to the Raven while trying to get a handshake. But Instead Raven gave her a hug.

They both had bunk beds, Raven took the top bunk since she is a vampire. Mia took the second bunk because she is afraid of height.

The next day Mia decided to ignore both Blade and River. She avoided them in class, at the cafeteria, even during PE class. After the class was over, Mia went to the girl's locker room to take a shower. Just as she was about to take off her clothes she saw a shadow behind her. She turned around and was about to scream bout blade covered her mouth.

"Don't be afraid, it's me" Blade told her in a whispering tone.

The atmosphere stayed quiet for a while. Mia finally spoke up. " What are you doing here, this is the girl's locker room you know" Mia said in a calm but angry tone. "I tried talking to you, but you kept ignoring me what else was I supposed to do". Blake said in a soft tone.

" I also ignored River so what's your point". Mia said, she was really not in the mood for all this drama. " I really want to talk to you, so could you please listen". Blade said to her trying to reason.

" Well I don't want to, so please leave" Mia said to Blade also hoping to reason with him. "That's too bad because I'm not leaving till you hear me out". Blade said going closer to her.

Mia stepped back a little, maintaining their distance "Okay, say what you want and leave the rest of the girls are coming back soon". Mia told Blade as she heard footsteps coming near the door step.

" Good then meet me in the school garden by 8pm" Blade said to Mia going even closer to her. Mia sat on the bench tired of Blade's antics. " Be there, or I'll get you myself".

Blade whispered before girls came flooding in. Blade faded away into the crowd before anyone could see him.

" Are you good girl?" Raven asked Mia, she looked tensed "I'm good I was just about to take a shower". Mia told Raven trying to stay calm. "You left to do that ten minutes ago". Raven said feeling suspicious. "I was about take a shower but felt exhausted, so I decided to chill here for a while" Mia said brushing of all of Ravens thoughts.

"Sorry I didn't know our PE class was that hard for you". Raven said feeling sad for Mia she knew Mia was human, and their PE classes can be a little intense sometimes.

" Ok let's take a shower then we can get you some ice cream since humans don't drink blood". Raven said laughing at her own joke.

Later that night Mia went to the garden wearing her pajamas. She didn't want him to think she was going to put an effort to impress him like every other girl would. She walked around the garden looking for Blade.

"I knew he wouldn't show up" She said to herself she was about to turn back when Blade appeared in front her, she backed up a little feeling a little frightened.

" I came earlier but saw you in your pajamas, so I went to put mine on". Blade said to Mia with a slight smile in his face. "You wanted to say something to me, well here I am, so start talking" Mia said in a cold voice, she was tired of the weird game he was playing. She doesn't know what he was planning, but she wants nothing to do with it.

" Yeah well the thing is… I… I um… Wanted to show you around the garden before River does, it's the most beautiful part of the school you know. So I decided to do you the favor, also as… As… An apology. Blade told Mia stuttering continuously.

"Your terrible at apologies aren't you" Mia asked. That was the worst apology she has heard. " I'm not used to saying stuff like that, so are you coming or not?, Blade said while walking away. "I'm coming wait up" Mia ran up to Blade catching up with him.

They walked around the garden side by side for a while then Blade took Mia to the sparkling lake where the moon could be seen clearly on the water. The lake was really beautiful, The water sparkled shining light to the entire garden, the fishes that could be seen in it were really rear and beautiful. Mia was amazed at the sight of the river.

"This is my favorite part of the garden" Blade stood behind Mia whispering t to her ears. "It's beautiful Mia said, still amazed by the view. Mia and Blade later on the grass for a while before heading back to the dorm. " I'll see you at school tomorrow then". Blade said turning to Mia."um sure why not" Mia said still having no Idea of what happened.

Blade walks away and Mia goes back to her dorm. Raven was already asleep so Mia just laid down trying to figure out what Blade was planning.
