SOME UNSPOKEN WORDS

Introduction and PROLOGUE

Hey guys, nice to meet you. This is my first story. It's a normal romantic story. There will not be much smut, so if you are reading it and hoping for smut, then you will be disappointed.

There will be some adult scenes but those will be very few. I'm focusing more on storylines than those things to make this story unnecessarily spicy.

And I don't hope for everyone to love this story. If you don't like it, you can comment why you didn't like it, but do not insult me or the story, or you can just ignore this story.

"Don't take it off." His voice was calm, steady, but it carried a depth that caught her off guard.

She stared at him, eyes wide in disbelief. "Bu... but this is the..."

"I know," he interrupted, his gaze softening as a small, understanding smile played on his lips. "He gave it to you."

Her heart skipped a beat. "You know?" she asked, her voice trembling. "Then wh... why would you say that?" The confusion, the amazement, and the shock were clear in her tone.

His smile widened, a warmth emanating from it that made her chest tighten. "Yes, I know. And I also know how much it means to you."

Her lips parted as she struggled to form a coherent thought. "I... I... umm... it... it’s..." she stammered, her words tripping over themselves.

He stepped closer, gently placing his palm against her cheek. His touch was tender, grounding her in that moment. "He is your truth," he said softly. "Your first love. I don’t want you to forget the memories that made you happy."

Her breath hitched. She wanted to respond, but the lump in her throat only grew bigger.

"I don’t want to replace him," he continued, his voice carrying a quiet strength. "I know I can’t. That’s not what I’m asking for. All I want is a little space in your heart. A chance to be part of your present and your future."

Tears welled up in her eyes as his words washed over her.

"You don’t have to let go of your past," he added, his thumb brushing lightly against her cheek. "Cherish him. Keep those memories alive in your heart. But let me stay by your side too. Let me be part of the life you're building now."

Her tears broke free, spilling down her cheeks in slow, silent streams. Then, unable to contain herself, she stepped forward and wrapped her arms around him tightly.

She buried her face into his chest and let the dam burst, sobbing openly as all the emotions she’d been holding back finally poured out. His arms came around her, strong and reassuring, as he patted her back and ran his hand gently over her head.

"It’s okay," he whispered. "I’m here. I’m not going anywhere."

In his embrace, the weight of her grief began to ease, replaced by something lighter—a sense of comfort, of understanding. She didn’t have to choose between her past and her future. For the first time, she realized there might be room in her heart for both.

PROLOGUE: 2

She was running, her feet pounding against the pavement, her breath ragged and uneven. She didn’t know where she was going—she didn’t care. The streets were a blur, lit only by the dim glow of streetlights and the occasional flash of lightning slicing through the sky. Thunder rumbled in the distance, but it didn’t stop her. She ran blindly, tears streaming down her face, mixing with the raindrops that began to fall.

She weaved through the crowds, ignoring the honking cars, the startled voices of strangers, and the chaos around her. It was as if she were trying to escape everything—the world, her pain, and even herself. But no matter how fast she ran, it was still there, suffocating her, weighing her down.

The rain intensified, soaking her completely, her clothes clinging to her as the cold seeped into her bones. It didn’t matter. The rain might have washed away the tears on her face, but it couldn’t touch the ones in her heart.

Her mind was a whirlpool, and at the center of it was him. His face, his voice, his words—everything about him was etched into her soul. But the worst part wasn’t his words. It was the look on his face. The pain. The hurt. And she knew she was the reason for it.

"I hurt him," she whispered to herself, her voice breaking with anguish. The thought clawed at her insides, making her stomach churn and her heart ache unbearably. How could she have done this to him?

Her steps faltered, but she forced herself to keep going. She couldn’t stop—not now, not ever. But the guilt was too much. It made her feel like she was drowning, gasping for air she couldn’t seem to find. She wanted to scream, to make it all go away, but she knew that wasn’t possible.

"He deserves better," she thought bitterly, the words slicing through her like shards of glass. He deserved someone beautiful, someone kind, someone perfect. Not someone like her. She wasn’t enough. She had never been enough. All she’d ever do was drag him down, ruin his life.

But the idea of him with someone else, smiling at someone else, loving someone else—it made her chest tighten so much she thought she might collapse. She couldn’t breathe.

Yet, she told herself she had to be strong. This wasn’t about her. It was about him, his happiness. If letting him go meant he’d be happy, then she had no choice. She couldn’t be selfish. Even if it shattered her, even if it destroyed her, she had to let him go.

The rain poured harder, and her foot suddenly caught on the uneven pavement. She stumbled, her ankle twisting painfully as she fell to the ground. Her knees scraped against the rough surface, tearing her skin and leaving behind burning bruises. She winced, clutching her leg as the pain shot through her, but she didn’t cry out.

She tried to stand, to keep running, but her body refused to cooperate. Her legs gave out beneath her with every attempt. Frustrated and defeated, she collapsed back onto the wet pavement, the rain drenching her completely.

And that’s when the tears came again—hot, angry tears that burned despite the cold rain falling on her face. She sobbed uncontrollably, curling into herself as she lay there. The weight of everything—the guilt, the heartbreak, the hopelessness—crushed her, making it impossible to move.

The world blurred around her, and she didn’t fight it. She let herself sink into the numbness, into the rain and the pain, until her body couldn’t take it anymore. Slowly, her sobs quieted, her breaths shallow and uneven.

And then, as the rain continued to fall, she closed her eyes and let the darkness take her.

CHAPTER 1

At 8 pm, it started raining outside, bringing relief after a long, hot day.

Mark Walson, a 30-year-old English professor, had returned home an hour ago, lucky to have avoided the rain.

He was tired, so he poured himself a glass of wine and listened to music. While sitting comfortably on his king-sized sofa.

Suddenly, someone knocked at his door, disturbing his peace. Irritated, he went to the main gate and opened the door to find a wet and shivering girl standing outside.

"Who are you, and what do you want?" Mark asked gruffly.

The girl looked at him, and a small smile appeared on her face, about to say some but it vanished when she heard his question.

Her face turned pale, and she murmured, "I lost my way, and it's raining. I have nowhere to go. Can I have shelter in your house for tonight, please?"

Mark observed the girl from head to toe, noticing her soaked dress had become transparent, revealing her curves.

Despite feeling a surge of dirty thoughts, he calmed down and said, "Of course, You can. How can I leave a lonely girl on the street like that ?"

He made space for her to enter and told her to come in. The girl nodded and entered the house.

He was leading her way through the corridor. He was walking ahead, and she was walking behind him. Her steps were slow and she kept her head low.

Meanwhile, his mind was making plans for hunting tonight. A small sly smirk was playing on his lips.

Mark took her to the guest room and said, "Go to the washroom and freshen up. Meanwhile, I'll arrange some clothes for you."

She nodded and looked towards the direction he showed. Mark went out of the room, and the girl looked at his back with sorrowful eyes.

Many thoughts are clouding her head, making her eyes moist. She wanted to say many things, but no word was forming from her mouth.

When he became invisible from her sight, she went to the washroom to freshen up.

In the washroom, she stood in front of the mirror, staring at her reflection. Her face looked tired and messy.

Strands of damp hair clung to her skin, framing her pale face. Her eyes were swollen, heavy with the weight of emotions she was trying to push away.

Her lips, bright red, trembled slightly from the cold.

Slowly, she raised her hand and traced her fingers lightly over her face, as if trying to recognize the person staring back at her.

A single tear threatened to escape the corner of her eye, but she quickly shook her head, willing herself not to cry.

She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself, but the ache in her chest refused to fade.

After freshening up, she wrapped herself in a towel and got out of the washroom.

Meanwhile, Mark was putting a shirt on the bed.

He noticed her presence and He raised his head to find her covered in a towel.

Looking at her like that, lust started making him lose his cool.

He looked at the other side to control himself.

He coughed a little and started to talk "I live alone, so I don't have any women's clothes. Please manage with this, and you can hang your clothes there. They'll be dry by tomorrow morning."

The girl nodded in reply.

, "I'll get you some food; you must be hungry." Saying that he walked towards the kitchen while shutting the door behind him, and the girl collapsed on the floor, bursting into tears, after he left the room.

She was feeling helpless. Her every hope started to scatter.

When Mark knocked on the door, she wiped her tears, calmed down, and wore the shirt. Mark entered the room carrying a bowl of pasta and said, "I'm not a great cook, but I managed to make some pasta. I hope you don't mind."

The girl didn't respond.

Mark handed her the bowl, as she took her seat on the bed. Mark sat beside her and noticed her swollen eyes. "Why are your eyes swollen?" he asked.

The girl hesitated before replying, in a hoarse voice."Maybe I caught a cold in the rain."

"Oh," That's what he all said in response. Though he knew she was lying, he didn't ask anything as he didn't have any interest in that.

They sat in silence for a while. The girl looked at Mark with many emotions in her eyes. She wanted him to tell her the reason why he was doing this, why did he do that?? Why did he make her suffer that much? But he failed to notice, thinking she was just touched by his kindness.

After a while, Mark asked, "Why don't you eat? The food will get cold."

Hearing that the girl took a bite, and Mark asked, "What's your name?" She paused before looking at Mark with sorrowful eyes and saying, "My name is Sarah."

Mark was amazed, feeling like he had heard the name before but couldn't recall where. He thought he might have heard it from one of the many women he had met.

He stopped thinking and said, "Your name is pretty."

Sarah didn't respond, and Mark asked, "Is this your first time here?" She nodded, and Mark asked, "Why did you come to this unknown place alone?" Sarah looked at him for a few seconds and lowered her head.

She replied in a low voice, "To find my dreams."

Mark didn't understand nor did he care.

After eating, Mark offered her a glass of wine, saying, "Would you like to have a glass of wine? You must have felt cold after being soaked by rain for a long time. It will help you to keep warm."

The girl looked at him, and again, she lowered her head looked at the floor and nodded.

Mark goes to the mini bar of his house, pours two glasses of wine, and puts some kind of drugs in some of the glass without her noticing.

He returned to the room and handed over the glass to Sarah.

They started to take sips of their wine.

After some time Sarah started to feel uneasy and uncomfortable.

Her whole body started to lose strength and she collapsed on the bed

She was fully conscious. But she had no strength to move, and her whole body was on fire.

Mark smirked looking at her like this.

He went near her and whispered in her ears, "You are so attractive and beautiful." She wanted to resist but couldn't.

Then he started to stroke her chicks with his thumb and then slid his finger to her chest.

Sarah was trying to say something but she couldn't form a word.

Tears were rolling down from her. eEyescontinuously.

Mark sealed her lips with his lips and started to unbutton her shirt.

Sarah surrendered herself. Tears started to roll down from her eyes.

Mark tortured her the whole night like a beast. He treated Sarah like she was not a human being but a toy for his dirty pleasure.

After he finished, he got up from the bed and left the room.

He went to his bedroom to sleep. At approximately 6:30 am, he got up and went to freshen up. Suddenly he remembered Sneha.

After getting ready for work, he took the cheque and headed towards the room where she was supposed to stay.

He didn't want any unnecessary troubles, and according to him, money is the solution to everything. At least that's what had been happening till now.

When he entered the room, he noticed it to be empty. Realizing the fact that she already left without causing any trouble gave him relief.

He was about to turn around to leave when he noticed a piece of folded paper was put on the being.

He frowned a little towards the paper and took it to unfold it. He notices that is a note. He starts to read.......

Authors note - I do not support rape, so I have no intention of romanticizing any rape case. Thank you.

Don't know how to explain our relationship between us. Did we ever have any relationship?

For me, You are my heaven, my dream. But for you, maybe I'm just a toy to satisfy your dirty desires.

What did I do wrong?? Why did you do this to me ?? No, I think it's not only me; I think you have played this game with others, too. Maybe they are also a victim like me. Maybe you also don't even remember all of them.

What !? You don't understand anything right? You must be confused. Let me clarify everything for you to understand.

Do you remember? Last night when I told you that I came here to find my dream.

You are my dream.

But I forgot that it's a dream, and dreams can't ever become reality.

Here I spend my days while missing you, our memories. Cried every night while You even forget about me.

You couldn't even remember anything even after seeing me last night.

But I remember every single moment we spent together. You can't remember till now, right?

Let me remind you, five years ago it was a rainy night, just like yesterday.

That night changed my life completely because that night we met for the first time.

I lived in the urban area of the city with my grandmother. That place is quite rural, isn't it?

After her death, I was left alone. I didn't have anyone to call as family.

That night, I was about to go to sleep. Meanwhile, I heard someone knock at the door.

I was shocked that time, as there was no one to come to meet me, it's ironic but it's true. I was all alone in the whole world.

When I opened the door, I noticed a man in his late 20s, standing there.

Yes, it was you. You came to my door that night. Soaking wet in the rain.

You pleaded with me for shelter, and looking at your pitiful state, I couldn't deny you and let you stay.

It was the biggest mistake of my life.

That night, you caught a high fever, and I took care of you for the whole night.

The next day before leaving, you left a letter for me.

In that letter, you wrote that you were so grateful for my hospitality, and you were touched by my kindness. You said that my gesture made you fall in love with me. And you wanted to start a new life with me.

After reading your letter, I was on cloud nine. I thought, finally, there would be someone who would love me, and maybe my life would be so colourful, and there would no longer be any loneliness.

( Mark noticed some dried water marks on the page maybe the girl was crying while she was writing it. He starts to read the next one)

After that day you came to my house again and proposed to me. I was so happy that day it felt so unrealistic.

At that time, I was desperate to have a family, someone to be by my side. Without thinking so much, I accepted your proposal.

How silly I am.

. I was so happy that day it felt so unrealistic. I accepted you and started those dreams for happiness. That night we made love for the first time. The sky, the stars, the wind, the moon, the wall, and every corner were the witness of my happiness that night.

8 months we were in a relationship. The first 6 months were the best days of my life. But after 6 months everything started to change, everything started to change.

You started to ignore me and your ignorance was increasing day by day. You started to yell at me and used to say bad things to me.

This behaviour of yours used to feel just like a knife, which was stabbing my heart mercilessly.

I always tried to make you understand that your ignorance was killing me, but you never changed.

Even one day, I was waiting for you at night without eating. I thought we would eat dinner together.

You returned so late at night. It was late midnight.

When I asked you to have your dinner,

You told me you had your dinner outside and went to the room. You didn't even ask me if I had my dinner or not.

Seeing your attitude, I lost my appetite.

I didn't eat anything that night.

When I went to the room you didn't even ask if I ate something or not. You just jumped on me, pinned me on the bed and started to satisfy your desires.

At that time my feelings had no value for you.

But after all of those I didn't say anything for fear of losing you. One day, you left for work as usual but didn't return. I contacted your workplace, and they told me you applied for a transfer, and it was approved, and you went to another place.

Hearing that, it felt like, the ground slipped from under my feet.

All of my hopes were destroyed in a moment.

I tried to find you everywhere, but I couldn't. I didn't know where you lived at that time.

A few days ago my neighbour informed me that you lived in that city and you are married.

To hear that my mind became blank.

When I asked her how she knew that, she said that her relative is your colleague and she saw you in a group photo of a party.

I left for the city the next day for you.

I couldn't believe that you were married more like I didn't want to believe.

After reaching the city I started to look for you. I got to know about you from a relative of my neighbour

My neighbour gave me your address. I discovered that you were not married, but you had a fiance. I felt so heartbroken. But I didn't want to ruin a girl's life. So I thought about giving up.

But after some days, I got to know that, for some reason, you two had broken up.

And I also got to know that you had an affair with her friend.

Even After knowing all of those, my greedy heart wanted you. My heart was not convinced by your true colours.

My silly heart still believed that you would love me. I would be able to change the bad part of you.

Last night I came here with false hope but didn't expect that you would not even remember me.

After what you did yesterday my love died for you completely. I know you wouldn't care about that.

But I still want you to know all. Think of it as my last wish from you.

And last, I hope nothing but happiness for you. And I hope you don't have to face the same thing you did with me or other girls.

blinded in your love
