The Hero Uses Skills the Wrong Way

Fallen into Fate

There stands the man who surpassed all others. Standing on the top of the world, he falls. Not because someone pushed him, but rather because he jumped himself. "I did everything I was supposed to do. I saved the world. But to be honest. All I ever wanted to do was to live a simple life. I know the world doesn't need me anymore. I leave it to my apprentices. Goodbye." *Just as he's about to hit the ground. A blinding white light obscures his vision.* "Welcome back, I've missed you." The fire Goddess that sent him here speaks. "It's been 15 years, but I still don't like seeing you." Ryuto Sett grabs his neck with fatigue. "You did well, you killed the Demon King, stopped the apocalypse, and maxed out your skills. Is there anything you were wanting as a reward?" She offers her hand outward. "I want to live a simple life, I'm tired of being a basic hero in your world." He grabs her hand, and suddenly he starts falling from the sky. Crashing into a cottage house, breaking the ceiling as he comes smashing down. "What the hell Rye!" An older, gray haired woman yells from surprise and shock. "I'm sorry Mrs. Karrio" He says as he's dusting himself off. "How many times are you going to break my ceiling??" She rushes to check that he's alright. "I'm okay, just a little bruised up. How are you doing?" He calmly states while standing up and grabbing some debris. "I'm pissed off that you broke my roof for the third time this week. But besides the heart attacks I'm doing okay." She grabs a nearby broom and shoves it into his hands. "Now get cleaning!" He puts his head down and starts sweeping while she goes to get ingredients for breakfast. He thinks to himself "It's been four weeks since I was reincarnated. And adjusting to my life as a nobody was kind of easy. I was reincarnated as a boy named Rye Calbin, an orphan boy who lives with the village elder. I got to keep all my stat points, but I lost all my god-tier skills. This boy has nothing but trash skills in his abilities. The worst part is the "Draken Heart" skill, it drastically increases one's defenses. But completely cuts off the ability to learn new skills. I've recently been traveling up the mountain every day, balancing two buckets while standing at the peak. Every time I fall off I come crashing into the house and have to clean up. I will stop at nothing until I can get my senses and stamina back to the level I used to have. I don't care how many times I fall through the ceiling. I have to get this body up to standard." *Slap!* He suddenly gets hit on the back of the head.* "You better not be dosing off, knucklehead! You still have to fix the roof and run into town for the magic supplies I ordered. Now sit down and eat. Your breakfast is getting cold." Mrs. Karrio says while placing a plate of cooked potatoes in front of him.

Village Excursion

Walking through the shabby village, Rye feels a sense of ease. "I never got to explore these small areas in my past life. There's just something so quaint and calm about peace." He thinks to himself before accidentally running into a woman who was turning a corner. "Watch where you're going! Oh! It's you Rye! Thanks for cleaning the streets the other day. Here, have an apple." She throws him a purple apple. "Thank you. I'm running an errand for Mrs.Karrio. See you later." He starts to walk away when she yells out. "Don't forget to do this week's cleaning soon!" He's running towards the center of town when he hits a marble statue, knocking him down. "It's you. But you look different." He says. *The statue is one of his apprentices, a blonde elf named Kateá. Except she has scars over her body and she's missing one of her ears.* "What happened when I came here? Did the person whose body I have now change the past? I'm sorry I couldn't protect you my apprentices. Hopefully you lived the way you wanted to." He thinks to himself while tearing up. "It's time to get the magical materials. I promise to find out what really happened to you my apprentices, ..no my children." With a new resolve he runs to the tattered magic shop. He swings the door open but is surprised to see the inside looks different from what the surroundings suggested. "What happened?!" He shouts out in surprise. "It's a magical device used to keep undesirable customers away. Good to see you again Rye. My name is Madame Draíga, we met once when you were younger. During the magic testing ceremony when you turned six, darkness magic I believe." A pale woman with stringy black hair and a crooked witch hat says while carrying a leather bag. "These are the things she ordered. Be careful with them. Karrio has a record of being upset when her delivery gets smashed." Draíga hands him the bag and gives him some coins. "Why did you give me some money? I was just supposed to get the supplies." He asks. "Get yourself something nice, I heard you were working hard lately." But before he could refuse, he was back outside already. "Today's magic surprises me again." He thinks as he walks off eating the apple from before.

"I'm back!" Rye shouts out to Mrs. Karrio as he walks through the entrance. "Meet me in the basement! I'm down here preparing for the ritual!" Mrs. Karrio shouts out from the other room. "I met Draíga and ran into the statue in the middle of town. Could you tell me about the story behind the heroes?" Rye asks as he descends the wooden steps. "We don't have time for that right now. Now, place the leather bag on the table and step into the circle on the ground." Mrs. Karrio instructs Rye. "Now repeat after me; "The light beneath the heavens, guide the spirits to hear my call. Summon Familiar!" Also use this blade to cut your palm. Blood is the catalyst." She tossed him a wooden knife.
