Chapter 1
Jungkook just came home after a hectic day at work. Tired to even change his attire, he just collapsed onto the couch in the living room of his apartment.
Everyone at the company thought that he had it easy which is far from reality. If anything, he was the one who struggles the most every day. Being the only son of the CEO has its own disadvantages.
His father was not strict really. It's just that Jungkook always had that in him. To prove himself, his capability, to achieve something in the right way, on his own. Not because of his CEO father or anything else for that matter.
His father told him several times to not stress himself out. He still has so much time to take over the position. That he can take all the time he needs. That he believes in him, in his son.
But Jungkook is stubborn.Very, very stubborn. He took it upon himself to shut the mouths of those senior-old-shareholders of the company, who can't keep their noses out of his family matters. Who wouldn't leave any opportunity to mock his father and him about his eligibility to be the next CEO.
Well, Jungkook isn't the managing director of the fashion and beauty branch of their brand-at a young age of 24-for nothing. He has experience in every industry the Jeons run. He worked at every level, knows the peaks and limitations of every department. He started as a mere employee -by following the company's procedures and conducting all the interviews-gave it his all in everything he'd done till now.
That's why he's going to start his training period-to be the next CEO-under his father after four weeks. No-one objected the proposition when his father asked to vote for the suitable candidate in today's meeting.

Jungkook is judging all his life decisions as he is now on the train with a very excited Jimin and his clearly unbothered cousin-or-Jimin's boyfriend (his worst mistake is playing cupid for them)
He thinks what he could have done to turn down the 8-year old Jimin who stood at the doorstep of his home back in Busan, asking him 'come play with me' with two chocochip cookies in his hand. A sweet treat which the 6 year him cannot say no to.
18 years passed. But Jimin still thinks he needs to babysit Jungkook.
He thinks how he could have spoiled the-vanilla and dark chocolate-cake Jimin oh-so-carefully baked to gift his Hyung on a Valentine's Day with a love confession of icing on top of it in a beautiful handwriting-and the tiny hearts all around it.
17-year-old Jungkook loved the idea of his two favorite people being together a little too much to think about the consequences he will have to face in the nearing future.
Not like they wouldn't be together if Jungkook had done anything of that sorts. Yoongi would have proposed anyway. They were two fools in love who pined after each other for four years. They still are two fools in love.
