I looked into the bathroom mirror at my bruise which started healing slowly after a while I sighed as I touched the now fully healed bruise

'that bitch I wish I could just tear her apart' Lily said through gritted teeth

laughing I said

'no we can't do that she is after all the Beta's daughter' I said rolling my eyes Chloe is my step sister along with her twin brother Skyler she has always bullied me since I got here but luckily Skyler was quite nice to me

After I finished in the bathroom I went to the kitchen running into my step mom on the way

we rushed into the room next door to see a snake on the couch and Chloe standing further away from it not able to get out

"the snake is completely harmless it probably came here for shelter" I said letting the snake out of the house. When I went back my step mom and step sister was nowhere to be seen I went to the kitchen and finished dinner then went back to my room which was the attic I got ready to sleep but I just couldn't

after I was finished I prepared myself and went downstairs

I went outside where everyone else was gathering for the twins birthday

when I approached the group of people my step brother lifted his head into the air and sniffed turning twords me calling out mate

I felt a Sharp pain in my chest as I fell to the ground

"I iris greenwood except your rejection Skyler white" I said trying to hold the tears back

I looked up at Skyler laughing bitterly

"deep down I knew you'd reject me but I had this little spark of hope that you wouldn't"

Skyler looked down at me in disgust

"why would I ever want to be with a weakling like you " he scoffed as he turned away walking to his girlfriend Lidia marking her right away

"from today forward Lidia would be my one and only mate" he announced to everyone

I smiled at him turning around and walking towards the forest. After I went a bit further I turned into my wolf and started running.

'I can't believe that he actually rejected us I thought he liked us' lilly cried

After a month of running around and going from pack to pack we decided to live in a cave far away from all the packs it was beautiful there was a lake, open fields, mountains and a bit of the forest.

One day I walked around the forest searching for food when I was shot with an arrow.

"Owwww why did this happen to me"

I said with teary eyes holding my arm. I heard noises from the bushes where the arrow came from. A tall guy wearing royal clothes came out with a bow in hand. He looked at my arm where the arrow was sticking out of. His eyes widened when he saw blood running down my arm.

"I'm sorry for shooting you I thought you were something else" he said ripping a piece of fabric and tying it around my arm to stop the bleeding.

"Well next time look before you shoot please"I said with tears in my eyes"that really hurts"

"I'm really sorry I didn't expect to see someone here"he said with a kind smile

When the bleeding finally stopped he stood helping me up "oh my name is Leo by the way"

"Leo" I muttered"it's a really nice name,, and it fits you" I said while smiling

"Oh and my name is iris" I said looking up from my arm

Leo was tall like really tall probably 7 foot while I was 5'4 I practically had to Arch my back just so I could look him in the eyes. Leo had nice blonde hair with beautiful dark blue eyes he didn't have a Beard or mustache. His skin was almost as white as paper, but he was well built. When he smiles he's got little dimples on both of his checks.

Leo was about to say something when we heard something in the bushes. He turned around walking toward the bushes grabbing onto something pulling it out. Out came stumbling a guy about my height with a very tanned skin, dark brown hair and gray eyes.

"Why were you hiding in the bushes" Leo asked the guy.

"I didn't want to interrupt". He said turning towards me "hi I'm Luca Leo's beta"
