Between Wolves: Destined for the Supreme

Episode 1

The room was silent, save for Aliya's ragged breathing as she glared at the two men before her. Her eyes sparked with a mixture of anger and a desire she refused to admit. Aiden and Kael exchanged a look, slow, irresistibly arrogant smiles spreading across their faces.

"You lied to me." Aliya's words came out sharp, yet her voice wavered for a second as Aiden took a step forward, his overwhelming presence consuming every inch of space around her.

"We lied, yes," Aiden murmured, his deep voice resonating hypnotically. "And we'd do it again, if it meant having you here, now."

Kael was right behind her, his intoxicating warmth almost touching her. He brought his face close to the curve of her neck, his hot breath making her shiver involuntarily. Aliya tried to suppress the reaction, but her body seemed to have a will of its own. She took a deep breath, but their scent, a wild and seductive aroma designed to disarm, invaded her senses, as if claiming her in a way she hated to admit.

"You... You have no right to trick me like this." She protested, her voice failing, the heat in her chest growing with every passing moment.

Kael leaned in, his lips millimeters from her skin. "Trick you? No, Aliya. Everything we do is for you." He murmured, sliding his hands along her arms with a slow, almost torturous touch, a caress that sent waves of shivers through her entire body.

Aiden cupped her face, forcing her to look at him. His gaze was both an invitation and a provocation. "You hate us as much as you desire us, Aliya. There's no point in fighting what's already yours. Against what you already know you want."

She felt his lips brush against hers, a touch that was both a challenge and a surrender. She tried to push him away, but the touch was like a drug, sending an electric jolt with the slightest movement. He smiled against her lips, a dangerous smile that made her lose her breath.

"You are... unbearable," she muttered, trying to resist, but her words were muffled as Aiden kissed her, firm and possessive. He held the nape of her neck with a strong hand, deepening the kiss until she felt her legs weaken, surrendering to the contact, the heat, and the intensity.

Kael slid his hands around her waist, his fingers branding her through the fabric, a touch that seemed to pierce any layer of resistance. He brushed his lips against her shoulder, murmuring against her skin. "Tell us you don't want us, Aliya. Say it, and we'll let you go." His voice was both a promise and a threat, an invitation to something she couldn't deny.

Aliya felt surrounded, consumed, as if their presence burned away every shred of self-control she still had. Their hands explored, their touches meticulous and calculated to leave her skin on fire, her mind in turmoil.

'You are... damn arrogant alphas... I hate..." But her voice trailed off as Aiden leaned in and caressed the side of her face, his eyes piercing, and the soft touch a contrast to the burning desire that pulsed between them.

He whispered against her lips. "Hate us all you want, but you're ours. Even if your mouth lies, your body has never refused us."

MONTHS EARLIER

Heavy clouds hid the pale light of dawn, as if the sky itself sensed the darkness Aiden and Kael brought with them. The hall was crowded with Alphas, Betas, and even a few omegas who risked a glimpse of the brothers' strength, those who had surpassed legend and become gods among wolves.

"It's not about respect, Aiden," Kael murmured, his deep voice echoing through the hall. "It's about fear." He leaned in, his predatory gaze fixed on the Alpha who had dared to raise his voice.

"Yes, of course." Aiden smiled, but there was something deadly in that curve of his lips. "And he'd better remember that."

The Alpha faltered. Everyone knew no one could face them; the twins were immortal, untouchable. No legend or tradition could challenge them. Even the ancient prophecies about the Supreme Alphas were just a pale whisper compared to the power the brothers emanated. But, despite all their strength and dominion, there was a persistent emptiness in each of them, a sense of incompleteness that, at times, consumed them like an invisible flame.

Aiden and Kael

"I've been thinking a lot," Kael murmured to his brother as they moved away from the center of the hall, where the Alphas remained silent.

"How will we deal with our brides?"

Aiden rolled his eyes. "I ask myself the same question. Whether we like it or not, they know they're not... them. They're not the Lunas."

"Maybe we'll never find them." Kael clenched his fist, his eyes clouded with an ancient frustration. "Four hundred years, Aiden. Four hundred years of waiting, and nothing. Just shadows of something that never materializes."

Aiden sighed, but his gaze rose beyond the stone walls, to the mountains that surrounded their domain. "What if our destinies are beyond our reach? What if they don't even exist anymore?"

...****...

Meanwhile, miles away, a young woman walked along a dusty road, feeling the cold wind cut her face. Her eyes, an almost silver blue, reflected the intensity of a storm about to break. Aliya, as she was called, was an omega, but nothing in her posture suggested submissiveness or weakness. The only thing that made her different was the almost indomitable strength of her own essence.

Aliya

The journey to her hometown had already lasted hours, and she couldn't deny that her heart beat a little faster at the thought of the rumors about that place.

"Aliya, you're going to keep your behavior in check, right?" Her sister Lyanna's voice was laden with sarcasm, and Aliya felt the venom in her words.

Lyanna

She turned, her gaze icy. "Don't worry, Lyanna. Try to take care of yourself."

Her stepmother, who was watching the interaction with critical eyes, cleared her throat. "I hope you behave, Aliya. We don't want your... temperament to interfere with your father's business."

Aliya lifted her chin, an ironic smile dancing on her lips. "Don't worry, Laena, I'm only interested in returning to Germany as soon as possible."

Aliya's family home was an imposing mansion, decorated with rigor and grandeur, but to her, that place had always seemed cold, empty. Her return was recent, but she already wished to go back to Germany, to her own space, where she could just be herself, away from critical gazes and whispers of disapproval. From the moment she arrived, she had felt the family tension, as if her presence were an affront. Her father had barely looked her in the eye, and her stepmother treated her with the same disdain as always.

After hours of enduring the icy silence of the corridors, Aliya was about to retire when her stepmother entered her room without knocking.

"Aliya, go get ready. We'll be at dinner with the Supremes tonight," she announced, in a brusque tone that brooked no argument.

The young woman sighed, exhausted. "I'm tired. I've had a long journey and I'd like to rest tonight."

"Do you think that matters?" Her stepmother crossed her arms, her lips pursed in a rigid line. "This is a unique chance to make yourself useful to your family, to your father. We are not like the humans you spent years living with. Here, you will have to follow the rules."

Aliya closed her eyes, trying to contain the irritation building inside her. The urge to scream was strong, but she yielded to the pressure, as she always did.

Episode 2

The hall was adorned with all the luxury the lupine aristocracy could offer, glittering with the light of gigantic chandeliers that transformed the night into a golden spectacle. But, for Aliya, that opulence was nothing more than a gilded cage. The whispers and disdainful glances followed her like shadows, reminding her of her place. Omega. Inferior. Marginalized. She was leaning against a column, feeling the tension of the night condensing in her chest.

"You should have stayed in your room," Lyanna murmured, who made a point of flaunting her superior status. She smiled, but her eyes were cruel. "You're attracting attention you don't deserve."

Aliya clenched her fists, swallowing the retort that burned her tongue. She wouldn't give Lyanna the satisfaction of seeing her words hurt her.

Before she could reply, the hall doors burst open with a bang that silenced every murmur. All eyes turned to the entrance, where the twins made their appearance. The Alpha Supremes. Predators who emanated absolute power with every step, as if gravity bent around them. Aiden, with blond hair and a glacial gaze, seemed molded from pure discipline and strength. Beside him, Kael was a dangerous contrast, with a seductive and wild presence, eyes that promised both pleasure and destruction.

The hall, once so vibrant, now throbbed with an almost physical tension.

Aliya took a deep breath, feeling the impact of the two immortals like an overwhelming wave that left her dizzy. She kept her head held high, though she could feel the judgment in her family's eyes. Averting her gaze would be an act of submission, and that was something she would never do.

"These are the Alpha Supremes," Lyanna whispered, her lips twisting into a smile full of anxiety and expectation. "Don't think you're even worthy of breathing the same air as them."

Aliya didn't answer, but she felt her blood boil beneath her skin. Before she could think of moving away, the immortal brothers stopped before her family. Cedrik, Aliya's father, with a sweat that betrayed his nervousness, made an exaggerated bow.

"Alpha Supremes, it is an immeasurable honor to have you here," he announced, his voice trembling. "Please, allow me to introduce my... family."

Aiden didn't even seem to notice the man, his cold gray eyes going directly to Aliya. For an instant that seemed an eternity, they stared at each other, the surroundings fading into an oppressive void. Aliya's heart pounded like a drum. The intensity of that gaze was too much, as if Aiden could see all the secrets she kept.

Kael watched the scene with a smirk. "Interesting," he murmured, a whisper that sounded more like a challenge. "You don't bow, omega."

Aliya swallowed hard, but her pride made her keep her posture erect. "Why should I? My position as an omega doesn't make me any less worthy."

The air around them grew dense, and Aliya could hear the crackle of electric tension, as if a storm was about to break. Aiden took a step forward, his overwhelming presence filling the space. His eyes, glacial and unyielding, were blades that cut through any resistance.

"You have courage," he spoke, his deep voice reverberating down Aliya's spine. "But courage is not synonymous with wisdom. Don't you know the danger of challenging those you shouldn't?"

Aliya felt heat rise to her face, but she showed no weakness. "I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees, Alpha Supreme."

Aiden's eyes narrowed slightly, as if he were trying to decipher her, or perhaps holding himself back from breaking something—or someone. The entire room seemed to hold its breath. Cedrik turned pale, almost unable to react, but Lyanna seemed to revel in the possibility of seeing her punished.

Kael let out a soft laugh, a sound that promised nothing but chaos. He tilted his head, observing her as if she were a puzzle he was eager to solve. "You like to walk the line of death, Aliya," he taunted. "Tell me, how do you expect to survive when fate has other plans for you?"

"If fate wants to destroy me," Aliya retorted, her voice firm, "it will have to fight for it."

Kael's smile widened, a dark glint in his eyes, while Aiden took a step back, his expression as hard as stone. But Aliya could sense something beneath that mask of coldness, something almost... vulnerable.

"Courage can be a gift or a curse," Aiden said, the words sounding almost like a warning. "And yours, Aliya, can attract things you cannot control."

Kael laughed again, and the sound made the entire hall tremble. "It seems we've finally found someone who doesn't know her place," he commented, addressing his brother. "Are we going to have to teach her?"

Aiden's hand gripped Kael's shoulder, like a steel chain. "Enough, Kael," he warned, and the tension between the two brothers was almost tangible, like a thread about to snap.

Aliya felt the weight of the silent war between them, as if she were at the center of a storm about to break. But if they expected her to crumble under that pressure, they were wrong. She was tired of being treated as if she didn't matter.

"What more do you want from me, Alpha Supremes?" Aliya taunted, her gaze sparking. "My submission? You won't have it."

Kael lunged forward, his eyes burning with an almost predatory intensity, but Aiden held him firmly, his face hardened. "This isn't a game, Kael," he hissed, his control firm but his anger evident.

The war was no longer silent. Aliya realized that, unwittingly, she had become the catalyst for something the two brothers struggled to hide. And as the hall filled with an overwhelming energy, she knew her life would never be the same.

Episode 3

Kael clenched his jaw but nodded, though clearly reluctant. Aliya kept her gaze on Aiden, who was now studying her with silent curiosity, as if trying to discover some hidden secret within her.

"So, Aliya," Aiden finally spoke, his tone softer, almost teasing, "you seem to have very... well-formed opinions about who belongs here and who doesn't."

"I just prefer to be where I'm not judged for what I am," she replied, keeping her tone neutral, but knowing her defiant eyes betrayed any attempt at indifference.

"Where do you feel you belong, then?" Aiden asked, and the weight of that question seemed to penetrate deeper than she expected. Kael, who was watching her in silence, leaned forward slightly, as if wanting to hear every word of her answer.

She took a deep breath, maintaining control. "Far from here," she murmured, without breaking eye contact. "Among humans. With them, my position doesn't matter."

Aiden's eyes narrowed for a brief instant, but he quickly resumed his neutral expression. Aliya had the feeling that her words had affected him, even if he tried to hide it. Kael, on the other hand, looked at her with an intensity that bordered on discomfort, as if trying to unravel something beyond her words.

"I see," Aiden murmured, with a subtle touch of sarcasm. "But, perhaps, you need a little more understanding of what it means to be a wolf among your own. There's no point in running to humans, Aliya. Sooner or later, you will always be brought back to your true nature."

Aliya raised her eyebrows, a silent provocation emerging in her smile. "Perhaps I prefer a nature that doesn't limit me."

Kael smiled slightly, as if he liked her answer. "It seems we have a wolf here who doesn't like cages," he commented, in an almost approving tone. "But, Aliya, freedom also comes at a price. And we, as Alphas, understand better than anyone what it means to bear the weight of choices."

Aliya narrowed her eyes, feeling a slight irritation mixed with curiosity. "I don't see how someone who possesses everything could understand what freedom means."

The hall was so quiet that one could hear the bated breath of those observing the scene. Kael and Aiden exchanged silent glances, but there was a clear understanding between them—something deeper and more instinctive than any words they could exchange.

"Maybe one day you'll understand, Aliya," Aiden murmured, his voice low, but laden with meaning. "Or maybe we can show you."

With that, he gave a slight nod, as if ending that confrontation. Kael still looked at her as if he wanted to say something more, but finally restrained himself, following his brother as they both walked away, leaving her there, amidst curious stares and whispers.

Aliya felt strangely relieved when they finally left her field of vision, but she couldn't shake the feeling that something irreversible had begun.

...**...

The event dragged on, and the pressure on the young woman intensified with each passing moment. She was surrounded by familiar faces, but the feeling of not belonging there enveloped her like a heavy cloak. The conversations around her were superficial, and the scornful looks she received from some family members made the situation even more unbearable. After empty interactions and a night of forced smiles, she decided it was time to leave.

Walking towards the exit, Aliya quickly said goodbye to her family, ignoring her stepmother's calculating gaze and her sister's whispered provocations. As soon as she passed through the mansion gates, the cool night breeze enveloped her, and she took a deep breath, feeling freedom lurking.

...**...

In the silent vastness of the Supremes' mansion, the dark wood and polished marble reflected the flickering light of the crackling flames. The atmosphere was cold and impassive, a fortress for those who feared nothing—or at least liked to believe so. Aiden and Kael were seated in sturdy leather armchairs, distant from each other, but with the tension between them tangible, almost palpable.

Aiden held a crystal glass, swirling the amber whiskey that shimmered in the firelight. His steel eyes were fixed on the liquid, but his thoughts wandered far beyond the surface of that drink. His face bore the hardness of someone accustomed to commanding, to never letting his guard down. A born leader, unbreakable, but that night there was something different; an internal turmoil tormented him, a flame difficult to extinguish.

Kael, on the other side, watched his brother in silence, his fingers drumming on the arm of the chair, in a restlessness he tried to camouflage. His eyes were a dangerous darkness, hiding promises of chaos. As he brought the glass to his lips, the whiskey burned his throat, but not enough to dissipate what stirred in his chest.

"She's not like the others, is she?" Kael finally broke the silence, his voice low, a whisper that sounded more like thunder in the empty space.

Aiden looked up, his face impenetrable, but a glint of understanding passed through his eyes. He knew who Kael was referring to, knew he was referring to Aliya, that young omega who, for some reason, managed to unsettle them in an unusual way.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Kael," Aiden replied, his voice calm, but there was a hint of provocation there.

Kael laughed, a muffled, ironic sound. He leaned back, a cynical smile dancing on his lips. "Don't play dumb, brother. I felt her... in a way I've never felt anyone."

Aiden gripped the glass, his jaw tight. "It's not possible. An omega, Kael? Just any woman? We've been waiting for our Luna for centuries, and she's definitely not..."

"Then explain, Aiden, why I smell her in every breath, even from miles away," Kael cut in, his voice laden with frustration and disbelief. "It's there, like a mark, a flame I can't put out. Her scent is... overwhelming."

Aiden opened his mouth to retort, but hesitated. He felt her too. From the moment he looked into her eyes in the hall, Aliya's scent had embedded itself in his mind like an obsession, an invisible mark, that he now couldn't dispel.

"This is ridiculous, Kael. She's just a rebellious and proud omega. Why are we even bothering with this?" Aiden grumbled, trying to rationalize the inexplicable.

Kael frowned, his dark gaze fixed on his brother. "You feel it too, don't you? Don't lie to me, Aiden. Not after four hundred years of waiting." His voice was almost a growl. "The idea of us being bound to the same woman... This is an affront to the gods, a joke."

Aiden swallowed hard, the truth weighing on every fiber of his being. Finally, after a torturous silence, he admitted:

"Yes, I feel her. And not just the scent... her heartbeat. It's like it echoes in my chest, as if it's part of me. And that makes me furious."

Kael closed his eyes for a brief second, his jaw clenched. The realization that they were experiencing the same torment was a blow to both of them.

"This makes no sense," he murmured, his voice hoarse. "We are alphas, supremes. Immortals. We can't... share an omega." The words came out like venom, his gaze filled with anger and a vulnerability he didn't like to admit.

Aiden took a long sip of whiskey, feeling the drink burn his throat. When he spoke again, his voice was tinged with bitter irony:

"I know. The idea of us being bound to her is... unacceptable. How can the gods impose something like this on us? A throuple?" He laughed, but the laughter died quickly on his lips. "It's outrageous. The gods must be amusing themselves with our misfortune."

Kael stood up, his eyes shining with a dark intensity, frustration radiating from every line of his body. "Then let's keep our distance from her, Aiden. We won't give in. I won't bow to this destiny they want to impose. Aliya will not be our luna. She will be nothing to us."

His brother watched him, his words echoing in his mind. He didn't want to give in either, didn't want to admit the strength of that bond. But a doubt gnawed at him, a fear that, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't dispel.

"And if..." Aiden began, hesitantly, but then his voice became firmer, "and if resisting is futile? And if this bond is stronger than we imagine?"

Kael turned his back, clenching his fists, as if the mere idea were an affront. "I'd rather die than surrender to an omega. I'd rather defy fate than accept this connection."

Aiden nodded, but the weight of that resolution hung over both of them. They were the Supremes, invincible warriors, immortals... but, in Aliya's presence, there was something that destabilized them in an inexplicable way.
