It was midnight around 2:30, Shi Mai had just finished his night shift he was walking home and stopped when got a call. "Dude you hit 1 million on your novel isn't that great you're going to be a famous author soon, are you happy?!" asked the person on the other end. Shi Mai dropped to his knees in disbelief, before he knew it he was crying, tears of joy they were indeed, Shi Mai was very happy that his 7th novel has finally become successful with all this good news he was content that he rushed home to start writing the next volume. As he rushed home he tripped and fell, Shi Mai had a very sensitive, fragile body, so he was bleeding pretty harshly. Shi Mai went to the nearest convenience store to get a bandage, at the convenience store not only did he buy a bandage, but he also bought some packaged ramen and a beverage along with some snacks, after paying he went back to his small apartment. Shi Mai places his items on the small table and starts to grab a few things to clean his wound, so he could apply the band-aid on. After fixing himself he ate the food, and snacks he got swallowing it down with that beverage of his, by the time he was finished eating he got straight into working on the novel that soon it was 6 am, and he nearly finished the cover and the first chapter of his new volume novel. He was so tired to continue that he flopped onto his bed and fell asleep immediately like a baby after eating.

While Shi Mai slept like a toddler the lights of his apartment started flicking on and off the ground began to shake and just like that the lights went off and the ground stopped moving, his laptop where he wrote his online novels, began to opporate as if it had a mind of its own, the first novel he ever made was absolutely trash which is why he never finished writing it which was called "The Heart Of A Young Lad" which was visible on the laptop screen....

Shi Mai woke up after a long time of sleeping well he didn't exactly wake up, but he was half awake, but he felt very comfortable sleeping he felt warm and softness from the blanket, that's when it hit him, Shi Mai just knocked out as soon as he slept he didn't change into his PJS he just slept like that, his bed was also messy before he even layed down, and he never got a blanket to cover himself in the first place but right now he felt like he was wearing something cozy in soft sheets and it wasn't messy, he immediately opened his eyes and sat up looking around, he wasn't in his room, this wasn't his room at all as he was about to get up a person walked in and greeted him....

As Shi Mai sat up in bed a person walked in, it was a young maiden who was wearing unusual clothing, a hanfu it was indeed. "Good morning young master it's time to get ready, your father and mother are waiting for your presence in the dining room for breakfast." said the young maiden as she continued speaking, "Does the young master need assistance?"....as Shi Mai took it all in he said, "N-no need". "Very well young master I'll take my leave then" the young maiden said and left gracefully she really did look like a fairy. Of course, it was no time to be thinking that Shi Mai got up from bed and walked to the mirror where he saw himself, he wasn't his old self anymore he was in a different body about 6 feet tall, this body have very pale skin, also very thin, he had big green eyes and looked awfully feminine for a guy, his waist was also very thin, he couldn't believe what he was seeing and then Boom. A system appeared beside him. "Good morning, Shi Mai!" the floating system said loudly as in wanting to startle him on purpose.

"What the fuck are you!?" Shi Mai shouted as if he was about to scream his last breath. "Chill man" the system said. "Chill? How can I chill your literally floating and you're not human and talking is nuts!" Shi Mai yelled as he was in disbelief of what he was seeing and hearing. "Shut up, Shi Mai you are in the universe of your first novel do you remember its name? Doesn't matter, because you never finished writing it now you're gonna have to finish it yourself here, I will give you tasks on how to shape the protagonist in the background you know" the system spoke. "No no no, your joking" Shi Mai took a few steps back shocked. "No I'm not joking take it ALL in now we have to start right away, you are in one of the side characters body named Chu Mao, the only son of the emperor Chu Han, the crown prince of the Tian Chu Empire, the rival empire of the Yong Empire. You must be in character all the time or else points will be deducted." the system said with absolute chillness. "I am the said character, CHU MAO!?, your kidding right he has the most depressing life ever why him" Shi Mai said with absolute anger. "Because why not anyways, right now you have barely been released from house arrest by your father since you got grounded and you know so you have to do your best to pretend to be grateful to your parents for letting you out now, and I'll pop up soon again to give you your first mission later, you should know how this part goes so I'll leave you to it!" said the system before Shi Mai could speak the system spoke again "Side Character Chu Mao thoughts are in control mode, turn on or off?" the systems asked in a robotic voice this time. "what does that mean?"Shi Mai questioned, "Yes or No" the system repeated, "umm... Yes? I guess?...". "Congratulations for turning on thoughts mode, 50 points were added" the system said and then disappeared. "Wait don't leave...yet..." Shi Mai yelled.......

(the same young maiden from earlier walked in)

"Young master! Why-....How come you're still not dressed! I woke you up 10 minutes ago! I told you your parents asked for your presence!(the maiden sighs) Hurry up, I'll help you get ready(she grabbed Shi Mai's arm and dragged him Chu Mao to the closet)You should really start to behave and follow orders or else you'll get grounded again"

Chu Mao thoughts: WTF, who does she think she is, touching and dragging me and trying to dress me, not cool, but then again IDK how to put on these types of ancient clothing but still, how rude of her.

While Chu Mao was cursing in his head the young maiden had finished dressing him by that time, before his eyes he just realized that he was dressed wearing a light yellow hanfu, the maiden quickly tied his hair in a ponytail as elegant and neat as possible.

"Young master this is the best I could do for now, but we really have to go, your parents have been waiting for a long time already" the maiden said with a worry and demanding to be, yet still respectful and soft.

"Is it necessary?" Chu Mao asked sarcastically with a tone of joking around, "fine let's get this over with" Chu Mao sighed in frustration and annoyance.

As Chu Mao followed the young maiden he started to notice that the place was actually very nice.

Chu Mao Thoughts: Wow, this shitty place isn't so shitty after all it looks nice....a place that only the rich can afford, supposedly this won't be so bad, as long as I don't have to interfere with the protagonist or any other important characters than I should be fine, hopefully...

"Umm miss what's your name again?" Chu Mao asked while following her with a tone of knowing but not knowing.

The maiden stopped walking as soon as he finished asking, and she turned around slowly to face him. Once she was facing him her face was that of an upset but sadden face expression, when Chu Mao saw her face he knew that he shouldn't have asked such a question. "What do you mean WHO AM I!!!? Chu Mao! I have been working as your personal servant for 7 years straight how do you not remember my name did you hit your head!" The maiden yelled angrily and was full of annoyance, she looked like she would immediately beat the living shit out of Chu Mao, "My name is Li Shan, does that ring a bell in you're tiny brain! Huh!" she yelled angrily again.

"Right I remember now I'm just tired that's why I forgot.....?" Chu Mao said trying to convince her that his words were true, but she didn't seem convinced.

"Shut up, that's not true, I'm not a fool you know! You and I will have a chat after you eat breakfast with your parents, hopefully you don't forget their names as well" she said sarcastically, "Hurry up!" Li Shan said still upset but turned around and started walking quickly to the dining room, Chu Mao had to run at some point because Li Shan was walking too fast, but they arrived soon in the dining room where the doors were than opened by guards standing out of the dining room, Li Shan walked in with Chu Mao behind her, Li Shan bowed and said "Your Majesty" She bowed at the emperor and then spoke again, "Your grace" she bowed at the empress, she then spoke again "I have bought the young Prince at last, please excuse me now" Li Shan said bowing again to both and then left the dining room.

Chu Mao thoughts: they're the emperor and empress of the Tian Chu Empire? Huh I expected them to look different, wait wtf am I supposed to say.....
