The Unusual Missing Case
It was a rather cold summer morning. The salon across the street opened for the day.
Jack
Everyone let's open for the day.
Jack, the owner and the boss of Jack Hugh Detective agency said aloud waking up the group of people scattered around the room sleeping.
Anna replied in a dizzy haze
Anna is basically an intern at the agency. The believes that she is of "foreign" birth. She even went the extra mile and bleached her hair blonde and acts and speaks as if she is foreign to her native language.
Jack
Everyone wake up or I'm getting the Bucket!
Suddenly an annoying moan was heard from the far end of the room, from behind where the couches were placed.
If you looked carefully enough, you could see some toes sticking up behind the big brown couch.
Jack
Munice! it's daytime already. And how many times do I have to tell you
Munice is a typical drunk middle aged woman, right around 35 years of age.
Jack went into room which looks like a bathroom and a toilet mixed into a small room.
Jack comes out with a bucket of water and starts pouring it on everyone in the room.
Jack
I told you to wake up didn't I?
Suddenly the front door opened and the chimes above the door rang.
Will, another one of the characters. Unlike Anna, Will is actually foreign. He speaks with a British accent.
Will
Hi Will. Now, everyone we are opening for the day.
Everyone sat up in place. They all sounded like kids in a classroom greeting a teacher.
Jack
Well now, let's hope it's a good day.
Jack
Does anyone have any pending investigations?
That's Richard. Even though he sounds like a proud son of a *, he is a caring character with an attitude.
Chester
We haven't had a case in ages!
The soft voice of Chester turned Jack to the left where Chester was seated.
Chester is a Mom character. He is annoying in his own way. He takes care of everyone and does chores like cleaning, cooking, and laundry.
Munice
Well... I am hopeful.
A clink of glass bottles were heard below Munice's table.
Jack
it's not even noon yet!
Suddenly the front door opens. A woman wearing a silky black dress enters the room. On her one had was a fabulously groomed Poodle and on the other a fancy carrying bag.
Jack
- Hello! welcome to The Jack Hugh Detective Agency, miss? -
Miss Alice
Alice, Alice Loxorn.
Everyone suddenly started acting professional, as if they are busy with important task.
Even Anna near the coffee machine looked so serious that one would believe she was making a world class brew.
Jack
Miss Loxorn, welcome. This way please. I'm Jack Hugh by the way.
Jack lead the guest to his table and politely asked her to sit.
Jack
What seems to be the problem miss Loxorn?
Miss Alice
Well here is the thing Mr. Hugh. My Pepe is missing.
Miss Alice

Jack

Miss Alice

The Gambling House
As the woman leaves, everyone peeped at Jack from where they were seated

Thank you Miss Loxorn. We will find her as soon as possible.
As Jack was turning, Richard pounced up to Jack and asked.
Richard
So? What's the case?
Before Jack could finish everyone flashed towards Jack and formed an arc around him like a school of piranhas.
Jack
Miss Alice Loxorn wants us to find her missing ..... Albino python.
Everyone uttered in confusion.
Jack
Yes, an albino python named Pepe
Jack
Last seen around the Gambling house near the Pier.
Munice
Ah! the Blue Rock Gambling house?
Jack
There are no known suspects and the only identifier other than the fact that it's a rare albino python is that it has a golden tooth with Pepe engraved on it.
Everyone looked confused.
Jack
I'm calling the case open. case missing python.
Jack
Alright. Will you are paired with Richard and Chester I'm giving you Munice

The replies came almost at the same time.
Jack
We will investigate the Gambling house
Richard
We will take the Pier. I wanna see if someone is keeping the snake in the warehouses down there.
Jack
And Chester and Munice?
Chester
We will ask around Miss Loxorn's house. See if there is anyone suspicious there.
Jack
The Case is formally open.
Jack walks into what seems to be a store room and brings out a big notice board.
Jack
Any updates and suspects are to be reported here.
After a couple of minutes, they left for the investigation.
Jack and Anna reach the Blue Rock Gambling house
The huge five storied, exquisitely built gambling house comes into Anna's eyes.
Anna
Whoooah! that's huge for a-a gambling house.
They walk up to the front door and suddenly a hand the size of Jack's head blocked their path.
An absolute Giant came to view from the sidelines
Anna zips behind Jack peeping at the gigantic man infront of them.
Giant Gary
Welcome to The Blue Rock Gambling House. Please read the terms and conditions on this file before entering.
He hands them a writing pad with some papers on it.
Jack took the papers and started reading through it.
Suddenly a phrase strikes Jack's eyes
Jack
No Cops or Detectives.
Giant Gary
Yeah. You wouldn't happen to be a cop would ya?
The man said with an innocent but threatening voice.
Giant Gary
So... Mind showing me your IDs?
Jack reached into his pockets and took out what seemed to be his ID.
The man took Jack's ID and looked at him again.
He gave a nod of confirmation
Giant Gary
Okay. What about the little lady?
Anna seemed almost petrified.
Jack suddenly interfered and said
Jack
She is my little sister. Don't worry we ain't cops or anything.
The man turned and opened the door to the Gambling House and gave a pretty scary smile.
Giant Gary
Welcome to the Gambling House.
Jack took Anna by her hand and walked her in while she was trembling in fright.
The door behind them closes.
Mr. Burner
As Jack and Anna entered the Gambling house, they are welcomed by a luxurious interior with warm lighting. Everything was glistening gold.
The interior unlike the outside was bustling with gamblers and rich guests who were eagerly waiting for something.
Jack felt something tucking at him from behind, something almost subtle and soft.
Jack turned around. It was Anna. She was still super scared.
Jack gave the warmest smile and asked,
Anna
Did you use a fake ID? Won't we get in trouble?
She spoke with an almost non existent voice.
Jack
We usually get cases where we have to enter places where law is not the same as the outside. Then we have to use such methods to get in.
As they were looking around a man, rather rich looking, hurried across. Jack stopped the man.
Jack
Sir? is there anything special happening today?
Random Stranger
Yes, yes! The auction hall is auctioning something rather unique today.
Random Stranger
Oh! I'm in a hurry. If you want to see come and see.
Jack and Anna started to follow the man. The man entered a room.
As Jack was reaching for the room a voice interrupted him.
Stranger
That room is occupied, you know.
Stranger
Do you need a room?
as Jack was about to say something, the stranger said.
Mr. Fredrick Burner
I'm Burner, Fredrick Burner. The owner of this humble establishment.
Jack
Ah! Mr. Burner, I'm Jack, Jack Hugh.
Mr. Fredrick Burner
Nice to meet you Mr. Hugh. Do we know each other from somewhere?
Jack
I don't think so. I'm new around town. So...
Mr. Fredrick Burner

He typed something on it's screen and returned it back to Jack.

He led them to a door with number 26 on it with a Rose gold hue.
Jack and Anna entered the room.
