Chemotherapy of the Cancerous Cells

Chapter 1

Mhm~ what a nice day it's today; was the first thought of Liu Shi, after opening his flower shop as usual on Sunday morning and looking at the people walking around the street. His usual first customer came, whom he thought to be Xu Fei, the teenager living nearby;but to his surprise it was an old man, whom he never met. Though keeping his business attitude, he inquired about the customer's need and made a bouquet of Lilies as per his request. The bill was $60.09, but when the old man checked his purse there was no change; therefore, he asked Liu Shi but as it was the start of the day, he didn't have any. The old man thought a bit and said,"Son, wait a bit I will go and ask around a bit, you keep this pendant as a guarantee."

Liu Shi, didn't bother to refuse the old man and let him go, plus he was a professional botanist working for 7 years in a lab, now using his vacation to assist his aunt in her flower shop. Once the old man was outside, Liu Shi picked up the pendant and gave it a look, it was jade; no doubt, therefore he simply put it on the side rack and went away. The day was busy, Liu Shi totally forgot about the pendant later. The old man for some reason didn't return. It was already evening slowly getting darker, so Liu Shi decided to close the shop. But, when he was adjusting the plants, the jade somehow fell from the rack and in the silence of darkness it was clearly heard.

Liu Shi picked it up and remembered that the old man didn't come later. He didn't think too much, it could be an urgent situation which might have stopped him from coming back. But, the jade seemed a bit expensive, leaving it in the shop didn't seem a wise choice; so he took it and slowly walked back home.

On the way back, while looking at the youngsters eating street food, he thought if he should consider taking some back for his cousin sister, Liu Meng;but, it's better not to, aunt is home, if he dared to bring these back he is definitely going to have an earful from her. He shook his head, and walked slowly.

Suddenly a car and a bike, which seem to be racing with each other turned towards the road he was walking on. Every thing still was fine when suddenly another taxi came from behind and the two racers lost their management of the vehicles. Liu Shi was still peacefully thinking of his project around the corner got caught up in the collision of the car and the taxi. His head started bleeding heavily because of getting knocked on the roadside forcefully because of getting surprised of the collision despite managing to move away from the two vehicles. The people around panicked and someone called the ambulance as well as the police, but Liu Shi's vision was already getting blurry. He thought,'I'm not sure if I'll be able to open my eyes next time... seriously, why is this even happening to me...? ....What did I do...?'

With those last thoughts, he lost consciousness. And when he opened up his eyes, he was feeling cold... extreme cold as if bare sitting on ice and when he focused his mind around him... the world seemed to bizzare to him. He just thought,'Where in the world am l..?Old architecture...small hands...big dogs...naked body... wait a minute... how did I become a kid...what sort of sorcery is this...? ...or did I die in the accident or something...yeah, definitely there's no other way.'

What a troublesome situation. Is all that came to his mind for a moment. The bigger issue was the group of dogs salivating on the moulded bread in his hands. He sighed but felt his stomach growl due to hunger. He knew if he ate that it's not good either so he threw away the moulded bread to them sat there quietly.

Liu Shi didn't know who he was, where he was and why was he here . He sighed and came to the conclusion that sitting here is not the solution, so he stood up although his legs were shaking and felt numb.

Just when he thought he could balance himself and let go of the wall, his hopes crumbled and he was falling on the ice covered ground, he closed his eyes involuntarily but the coldness never came instead he felt a adult's arm catching him just in time. Liu Shi opened his eyes and there was a purple robe in front of him. He blinked and moved his head upwards. He saw a face he never wanted to meet in real life... it was the face of useless, imbecile uncle of the story of the self-sacrificing principled main character, the head of the order of Yunmeng Jiang, Jiang Fengmian.

At that moment, Liu Shi felt cold sweat dripping on his back upon meeting this guy. There was no way...he became the favourite main character of his cousin's Gay collection. But, reality slapped him hard, Jiang Fengmian gave him the exact same introduction, he gave Wei Wuxian in the story and the same attitude too, of course. He massaged his temples, he could feel his blood pressure and headache increasing. He repeated to himself,'Calm down... it's... it's a coincidence....there must be a way...'

Jiang Fengmian noticed his reaction, and assumed that he was feeling overwhelmed so, he picked him up and started to pat his back while carrying him back.

Liu Shi thought,'Of course, after the introduction, there's no way this guy is leaving me alone...but ... it's still better than that alleyway, I guess...no wonder, Wei Wuxian was grateful...even I felt the icy bites on my body getting better as Fengmian has given me spiritual energy and a small cloak...'

Liu Shi kept quiet the entire time and let himself indulge in these things for a while... there's no way he's getting mixed with this weird ass family. The farther he stays with them the better.

Chapter 2

Due to the constant alertness to survive as well as biting cold around the young Wei Wuxian's body,he was too tired; therefore, Liu Shi ended up drifting in sleep. His last thoughts were,'Feels, good....sleepy...but Fengmian...zzz~'

The next time he opened his eyes, he was already in Lotus Pier, with a pair of siblings curiously staring at him, still being held up in Jiang Fengmian's arms and Madam Yu simply sipping her tea, indifferently. It took a few seconds for Liu Shi to register what was happening, but his inner monologue had already started, 'Jhrafjkjjhffhwjyamifacetofavetowithdisdarnfamilyjuststayawayyoudarnbitchesafgjhthhkkij.....' Of course still going on.

He patted his chest to stop the ongoing out of control monologue, but it indeed was difficult. He tapped Fengmian's arms to catch his attention, because of his ongoing attempts to make sure his friend's son was accepted into the household. But Liu Shi had a completely different perspective on this, as soon as he was let down; Fengmian started to explain the situation to him, because he still seemed sleepy while rubbing his eyes.

Liu Shi indicated him to stop with a simple hand gesture, which kind of surprised Jiang Fengmian. The young Wei Wuxian aka adult Liu Shi bowed to greet the people in the hall,"Greetings, elders. Before anything else, I would like to know what's your relationship with my family?"

He had to because he was still going through his inner monologue the entire time he met these guys or spent the time sleeping. There's no way, that he would remember every dialogue of book he read just to tease his cousin and knew at last that it had all possible R-rated sex scenes between guys and flirty interactions between them. He wasn't against anyone choosing any sort of partner, there's no way he could possibly control anyone's sexual interest, but he was never interested in anyone so far either. You could say it was the first time in his entire life that at the age of 26 he read porn scenes in a novel of his 19 Year-old little cousin sister. He felt stupefied when he realized what he completed on the final day of completing the novel. He just concluded,'I read a weird ass book with no logic, multiple interrelated characters with strange sense of existence, having multiple characters with weak willed heart who had no sense of being without their close ones...and finally a self-sacrificing, principled main character who was despised by almost everyone in his life, who immediately accepted a guy without testing their personality compatibility at all...of course the other party did a lot...but a little more time to understand each other could have been appreciated...why just jump at each other and avoid each other idiotically later... whatever none of my business. I'm not touching this book ever again in my whole entire life.'

Simply put, Liu Shi's parents had passed away when he was 6, in an accident due to the carelessness of the company on safety instructions on working conditions of their employees. Before he could understand that he had parents to love him, they were gone. He got used to being alone, not talking to anyone, just reading books or documents he came across of any sort. Fortunately, his uncle and aunt weren't bad people, they invested the entire compensation for his education, and his livelihood only. They were grateful that they had chance to come from their hometown to the city, because of his parents' death. Although it might seem selfish, everyone has their own needs and desires ,at least they never tried to overstep their boundaries nor he ever gave them a chance.

Therefore, naturally he had no as such 'attachment' with others which might create a void in him upon their absence.

Now back to the current scenario, since Liu Shi asked, Fengmian slowly explained to him,"I'm your father, Wei Changze's old friend, Jiang Fengmian and the current head of the order of Yunmeng Jiang. This is Lotus Pier and everyone here is my family member, The little girl here, is my daughter, Jiang Yanli and the boy is my son, Jiang Wanyin. The lady sitting on the seat is my wife, Yu Ziyuan. I'm planning to make you a disciple here at Yunmeng Jiang and adopt you."

Liu Shi took a deep breath, while constantly feeling Yu Ziyuan's throwing daggers at him. He said," Uncle, being a disciple and providing me with essentials is already enough after you saved my life in the alleyway. There's no need to adopt me." Liu Shi knew he was being blunt, maybe too blunt, but he had to keep a clean sheet with these guys as much as possible.

Jiang Fengmian, could read his resolve in his voice despite being silky, he stated everything calmly. But, Fengmian still wanted to continue, but Yu Ziyuan's words cut him off altogether,"Are you sure, Little kid ? You won't get another chance like this in your entire lifetime."

Liu Shi nodded his head and spoke resolutely,"I don't need anything else. It's sufficient." Yu Ziyuan asked her maids, to give him a residence despite his unwillingness saying that it's bare minimum given what his father had done all over his life for the order.

Ah~, how disheartened Fengmian felt at last was only known to himself, when he watched little Wuxian walking away from the hall. He wondered, if he should continue to pester the little kid about this topic despite his reluctance. But then again, since it's his choice the kid should stick to it after all this would be shaping his character in the future. Therefore, he gave up for now.

As to why Liu Shi, choose to stay despite his instincts telling him to stay away from this family, was because he didn't had any base to support himself in this world for the time being and it was unlikely that they would let him go either that's why he accepted everything given to him for now and choose to walk away in the future, of course when the times get rough he would make sure to do as much as he would be able to at that point of time. He's not omnipotent, therefore he won't promise to definitely do everything similar to the story, just do what's possible at most, nothing much and nothing more. He's no Saint to sacrifice himself for others.

Chapter 3

Jinzhu, one of Yu Ziyuan's own maid escorted Wei Wuxian back to his quarters assigned to him, herself. When they arrived, it was courtyard fully assigned to him, entirely. Although Wei Wuxian didn't need it now, but in long term this is indeed better, therefore he didn't bother to argue. Just when Jinzhu was about leave after arranging his necessities, Wei Wuxian called her,"Miss, may I have a word with you?"

Jinzhu felt curious, as to what a kid, who was just six year old could possibly need apart from the things provided ? She suppressed her thoughts and told him,"Go on."

Wei Wuxian continued,"Are there any suitable books or maps to help me familiarize with the structure of the sect and the current affairs?" In simple words, a general knowledge providing source.

Jinzhu nodded and told him,"I'll arrange it, wait until evening." And left his courtyard swiftly.

Liu Shi, released the breath he was holding, unknowingly. And just went on with his planning for future, it was necessary too, knowing how much less time he has compared to the impending war and chaos, and the peaceful times being the standstill of the moments before the oncoming storms.

The planning did drain a lot of energy from him, and fortunately the kitchen sent him food without exception. It would have been a headache to have more complications just because of some shitty rumors. Speaking of rumors, he needed to suppress them as well, else who knows when would the house mistress end going crazy,, and he would just end up being caught up in the mess. And in the blink of an eye, the sky started to get darker and it was the time for dinner. Liu Shi was still absorbed in his own thoughts, drafting a few business ideas, he knew from his own timeline and world which could be useful in such an ancient setting of time and society.

Wei Wuxian failed to notice the uninvited visitor, who had tried to make his presence known yet, felt that the in charge of the place had ignored him. Jiang Cheng, poked his head beside Wei Wuxian and stared at the messy drawings which could only be understood by the artist.

Jiang Cheng, suppressed the series of laughter making a knot in his stomach and said,"Hey you new kid, what the hell is this monster?! So ugly…"

Liu Shi felt that his heart jumped out in his mouth, he suppressed his shock and asked, "What're you doing here ?"

Jiang Cheng, snorted and replied,"Tch, Father called you to have dinner. I don't know why would he even remember you... What're you even ?"

Wei Wuxian raised his brows and said,"The son of your father's friend who has died when hunting ghouls. And, just send the dinner here, I still have some work to do."

Jiang Cheng snorted, despite being happy and feeling victorious," Who cares. Mother insisted that you should come else, you think this young master will waste his time on you."

Wei Wuxian nodded, but didn't get up, therefore,Jiang Wanyin , had to pull him together with himself to the dinner hall, while Liu Shi let him drag while justifying his actions thinking,'who wants to get up while working because of a kid ?'

Despite thinking so, he evaded all the threshold, Jiang Wanyin wanted him to crash into.Jiang Cheng felt irritated at this and wanted to kick him this time, but was stopped by his sister. He then only noticed that the three family members of his and the servants were staring at the two young boys. They looked as if they had just wrestled all the way here, and feeling everyone's gazes Jiang Cheng was embarrassed and hung his head low as if he had committed a crime. While the victim just stood up and started dusting his clothes. When Liu Shi was done, he stated at Jiang Wanyin for a while, and then started to pat his head and dusting his face and clothes as well.

This time, despite feeling embarrassed,Jiang Cheng slapped Wei Wuxian's hand away, and yelled,"The hell you think you're doing?! Stay away from me...!"

Wei Wuxian raised his brows, paused and let him go,"Okay."

Hearing such a brief yet clear response made Jiang Cheng snort again and start a staring contest with him, to which Wei Wuxian pretended not to notice at all as he greeted the waiting members.

This time, Yu Ziyuan raised her voice, while coming towards the duo,"A-Cheng, What do you think you're doing?"

The reprimand of his mistake, was clearly indicated in her tone of expression.

Liu Shi already familiar with the competitive nature of the two, mother and son, kept quiet and walked away. It's none of his buisness how a parent rectifies the mistake of their child.

The rest of the dinner was pretty much silent, with Jiang Fengmian breaking the silence once in a while to ease the atmosphere, but to no vail. And, Jiang Wanyin, throwing daggers at Wei Wuxian, the whole entire time, blaming him for the fact that he got scolded by his mother. Typical kids, is all Liu Shi regarded his behaviour as. He was given what he requested and he asked for the map of entire Yunmeng Jiang area as well. Though it did left the elders surprised as well as curious, they didn't refuse him at least, was all he was grateful for.
