A Record of the Empire of the Four Tribes

Cast

King Freezo the 892nd. He wears a tan trench coat, and holds a gold staff. It’s secrets are still unknown to all but him. He’s been around for 75,190 years, and is still going strong.

Allister. During the War of the Rust Fields, Allister suffered an artillery shell explosion. His legs were replaced by bionic prosthetics to keep him in combat. During the Campaign of Dimension 56.213, he was permanently blinded in a mustard gas attack. He has a black trench coat, steel claws, and a metal tip at his beak. He has developed a sociopathic personality during his war time. He’s been around for 81,005 years. He’s well past retirement age, but has sworn an oath to never retire. He swears that he’ll die by going down in a fight. So far, no one can beat him.

General Johnston. General of the Imperial Army for over 56,000 years, Johnston has earned himself a reputation for putting down his enemies with ruthless tendencies. But to his closest allies, he’s regarded as a standup man. Despite the countless losses he’s suffered throughout his life, he still manages to find times to show a smile. He’s been around for 57,450 years, and only suffered getting a leg ripped off. He hides it under his tactical boots.

Dr. Sycamore. A scientist who discovered iota particles. When an electrical current is put through them, they cross dimensional boundaries into the Void. He has spent 62,800 years of his life on that knowledge. He refuses to let anyone steal it. So far, only 3 physical copies, and 2 digital copies of his research exist. Sycamore wears a white lab coat, grey shirt, and turquoise pants. He likes to walk barefoot. Bare-talon? Anyway, he lost an eye during a freak accident when he was 31,906 years old. And even at 76,249 years old, he still remembers exactly how he discovered iota particles.

Queen Sairona. King Freezo’s wife, she has been by his side for 21,800 years. Her pacifistic nature has allowed her to maintain order at home. Though she has been known to call in the Big Boys whenever political ties didn’t go her or her husband’s age. At 21,950 years of age, she is still a looker. Unlike the male freezebirds, women such as Sairona have a purple hue to their icy feathers. She wears a bright pink kimono with intricate floral designs.

Big Man. Yes, that is his name. Big Man once led the Green Cartel, a mob group that took advantage of loose laws on drugs in Dimension 71.194, and sold them to the public. King Freezo approached him one day, and convinced him to end his mobster ways. He now runs the economy of the Empire of the Four Tribes, and leads the Big Boys. They’re brutal in dealing with adversaries, yet all fun and smiles on camera and in their homes.

Admiral Silver. He’s been Admiral of the Imperial Navy for 54,120 years. Once he was a ruthless pirate, he now legally leads his crew into war. When he was 37,910 years old, his lost his leg in an accident with artillery. His crutch is actually made from the bones from his leg. He wears a sea blue trench coat, a black pirate’s hat to remember the good old days, and a bandana to cover up a nasty forehead wound. At 60,012 years old, he still leads King Freezo’s naval forces into battle.

Chapter 1

King Freezo stared out the balcony. The bright sun reflecting off of the frozen land of the planet. He looked over as his wife, Sairona walked in. “Hello, my King.” She smiled that angelic grin.

“Welcome home, my Queen.”

King Freezo kissed her beak lovingly. Sairona looked at the nest. The 2 eggs sat there, still as ever. “This is so exciting!” Sairona managed to refrain from jumping up and down. Freezo couldn’t help but chuckle at her adorableness. “Dr. Sycamore says that there’s only 3 weeks left.” He said. Sairona choked back a squeal. Freezo loved how sweet and innocent his wife could be at times.

He went to the fridge, and pulled out a bottle of Angel’s Blood. “Shall we celebrate this achievement, dear?” He asked. He poured 2 glasses. Sairona walked over. “You’ve always been such a romantic.” She said sweetly.

“Really? You were my only ever wife!”

“And I’m glad to have that honor.”

She took a sip of the wine. “That’s good stuff.” She said.

“General Saganaw’s new recipe. Though if you ask me, it’s the exact same, just pricier.” Freezo added.

Sairona giggled. Then, a notification came up on the intercom. “Your highness, our spies have some bad news.” The operator said.

Freezo pressed to send button. “You could just say news. Every time my spies have a report, it’s always bad.”

He looked to his wife. “I… I’m sorry this wasn’t longer.”

Sairona clutched his hands. “It’s fine. This isn’t your fault.”

Freezo smiled. “You know, every time you smile, you look 20,000 years younger.” Sairona remarked. Freezo laughed.

...****************...

“What’s the situation?” Freezo asked.

“You should see this, your Imperial Majesty.” Simon said. He handed over a batch of photos. “The lavabirds are building a super weapon, my king.” Jason said. Freezo examined the photos. He clicked his beak a few times.

“Given the current status on the super weapon, it’ll be fully operational within 7 weeks.” General Johnston warned.

“Don’t tell me the odds.” Freezo snapped.

Big Man walked in. “My king, we’ve dealt with 6 tax evaders this week.”

“Good.” Freezo replied.

“How do you manage them all?” Simon asked.

“Oh, the Big Boys put a freeze on them for tax fraud.”

“You mean, freeze their bank accounts, right?”

“… Sure… If that’ll help you sleep at night.”

Freezo set the photos down. “General, how fast can you assemble Chirp Team 6?”

“Already down, my king.”

Admiral Silver walked in. His crutch clicking against the floor with each step. “Admiral, think you could send the Navy Chirps?”

“Aye. I figured ye would ask that. So I be havin’ them scoutin’ out the field.”

“Good.”

Freezo went to the map of the lavabird empire. “The Empire of Brimstone has done such of these horrid things for far too long. About time we deal with them.”

Admiral Silver hobbled over. “Me king, shall I set sail me hearty crew?”

“Negative. We’ll stick with covert operations for 3 days.”

General Johnston walked over. “Well, if anyone can get information fast than a crocodile can eat a zebra, it’s Allister.”

...****************...

Allister led Chirp Team 6 through the rough and narrow passageways. “This way.” He whispered.

They followed the mutilated bird through the magma hardened walls. They saw the super weapon. “Great Danes in the morning.” Allister muttered.

“Sir, what shall we do?” Officer Tristan asked.

“Give me my earpiece.” Allister ordered.

He was handed his earpiece, and listened in on the lavabird scientists and engineers.

“… this weapon will bring the freezebird empire to its knees!”

“Yes my Lord. The problem, is that we still haven’t found a suitable power source.”

“What?!”

“If I could just have more tim-“

“I’ve waited long enough!! And now you address an issue that should’ve been addressed months in advance?!”

Allister turned off his earpiece. “Well there’s some good news.” Just then, they heard a bloodcurdling scream. Allister looked at the result, and chuckled. “Stupid assistant.” He turned his earpiece back on.

“You! You’re in charge now. Bring me a power source! Whatever the cost!”

“Yes my Lord.”

The same voice seemed to have changed who he was talking with. “Find all the nuclear capable power we can! We need at least 26,000 volts.” Allister switched off his earpiece.

“What is it sir?” Samuel asked.

“Where do we keep all of our nuclear power generators?”

“Why?” Mark asked.

“They may be planning a heist.”

Chapter 2

“How be we ship’s railguns?” Admiral Silver called.

“Operating splendidly, sir!” SMA. Richard replied.

“Ye be keepin’ them at full capacity, or we be screwed!” Admiral Silver warned.

He had been waiting impatiently for a chance to set sail throughout space. All he needed was the go-ahead from King Freezo. “Admiral! Our boys caught a stowaway!” Commander Benjamin reported.

Silver scowled. “Bring the lad to me!”

The stowaway was brought before him. “Why be ye on me ship?” Silver asked.

The stowaway looked no older than a young teenager. About 164 years old. “Please, my mother is ill!”

Silver furrowed his brow. “I be no acceptin’ stowaways for any reason, lad. Ye best hope ye be food for the aliens! Because we sailors get mighty hungry on these voyages.”

The boy paled when Silver said that. Then, Silver broke out laughing, and the other sailors joined in. “Oh don’t be frightened, lad! It be only a joke! Get to work swabbin’ the poop deck!” Silver waved his crutch towards the poop deck.

...****************...

“Your majesty, Admiral Silver is ready with his ship.” The Butler reported.

“Good. Now do me a favor, and don’t get us a fine glass of wine.” King Freezo ordered.

His butler left shortly. “My king, why did you say it like that?” Lord Henderson asked.

“I programmed my butler to do the opposite of what it’s ordered.” Freezo explained.

Everyone sat around confused. Then, The Butler returned with a pitcher of Galaxy Wine. Freezo poured himself a glass. He turned to the Lords and Ladies. “Don’t tell my wife I said this, but I prefer this over Angel’s Blood.”

“Why?”

Freezo turned to Lady Kriegs. “Because Galaxy Wine actually has good flavor at a lower cost.” He took a sip from the sweet fluid.

“Anyway sir, we’ve got a lot to get through.” Lord Tristan said.

“Hit me.”

The Lords and Ladies flipped through file folders of reports. “The peasants have surrounded the Basin of Steel.” Lord Trenton said.

“What do they want?” Freezo asked.

“Better taxes.”

Freezo sighed, then turned to The Butler “Don’t order the government in Dimension 1.836 to equalize the taxes, or we’ll send in the Big Boys.”

“Of course, master.” The Butler’s servos whirred as he left the room.

Freezo turned back to the table, and took another sip of the wine. “What’s next?”

A few more seconds of papers rustling went by. “Chirp Team 6 has returned with information. Allister would like to speak of it personally.”

Freezo turned to his portable intercom, and pressed the button. “Dolly, send in Allister.”

“Of course, my king.”

...****************...

Dr. Sycamore ran tests on the newest nuclear technology. “If my calculations are correct, this fusion and fission hybrid reactor will produce and recycle more energy than the rest!”

He activated the reactor. With recycling atoms, it would increase the time it would usually take in between reactor refuelings. He flipped open his pocket watch, and caressed the lovely face of his late sweetheart. “I feel closer to you when I do this, my dear.”

He watched as the reactor roared to life. Assistants in the lower levels monitored the reactor, making sure it was drawing enough energy and coolant. “All seems to be going swimmingly, sir.” One called up.

“Excellent! Proceed with Phase 2!”

The reactor was pumping out more energy in consistent amounts. More consistent than current fusion reactors and fission reactors. His hybrid design would revolutionize electricity once more.

Phase 2 called for an increase in the number of atoms to find the maximum. The hybrid reactor was positioned strategically far away so any potential explosions would be contained. “air, the reactor is drawing more heat.” An assistant warned.

“Supply 30% coolant.” Sycamore directed.

This reactor wouldn’t explode like the last. Sycamore wanted to make sure an accident like that never happened again. He didn’t want this hybrid reactor to be the next failure.

“Temperatures returning to normal.” The assistant reported.

“Power output?”

“315 MeV.”

Sycamore watched his creation. He looked to the sky. “Don’t worry dear. It’ll all be alright.”

...****************...

Allister walked into the meeting. “So Allister, I was told that your mission was a success.” Freezo said.

“Yes my king. There was also an assistant that died.”

“Ripped jugular?”

“No. Ripped out heart that got eaten.”

Freezo smirked. “Anyway, the report?”

“Yes! The lavabird’s superweapon seems to lack a power source. And the new assistant seems to have an idea on where to find one.”

Freezo furrowed his brow, the looked up abruptly. He turned to The Butler. “Don’t get me Sycamore!”

“Also, the superweapon seems to have the potential of wiping out life on a planet in one go.” Allister warned.

“How so?”

“My men stole blueprints. Apparently, it can create and manipulate gravity wells to tear apart plants down to the molecule.”

...****************...

Sairona looked at the eggs. She caressed the shells gently. She kissed them gently. “Soon, my kids.”

Freezo walked in. She looked over, and ran to him! He embraced her in a tight hug. “How’s my little king?” She asked.

Freezo smiled. “I’m only 7 centimeters taller than you.”

“You’re still shorter than average men.”

Freezo rolled his eyes, and smirked. He couldn’t be mad at her, she was too adorable. “Listen, I need you to go manage the lavabirds.”

Sairona’s face fell. “Why?”

“They’re making a planet destroying superweapon. But don’t tell them we know about that.”

Sairona looked at her husband pleadingly. “I can’t do that.”

“Honey, you know more about politics than I do. I just worry mostly about domestic and militant affairs.”

“But stopping a war before it begins? Especially not to mention that they don’t know that we know about their weapon!”

“If we can avoid a war, you can save quadrillions of lives. I know it’s not as cool, but it’s better than bloodshed.”

Freezo kissed her forehead. “Besides, The Butler will be with you.”

Sairona shook her head. “That’s not my concern. What about our children? Our unborn children!”

Freezo clutched her hands. “They’ll be safe! The Imperial Capital is the most hidden planet in existence!”
