“ Oh look. What a lovely view ! Look at the Blood mixing with the emotionless snow . So lovely , let me take a picture!!

Yami stood silently, watching the crimson snow slowly melt into the white canvas. She felt a strange satisfaction, a calm that she hadn’t experienced in years. The world around her seemed to blur, leaving only the stark contrast of red and white in her vision.

Her mind drifted back to her childhood, to the days before she became the person she was now. Memories of laughter, warmth, and innocence flooded her thoughts, but they were quickly overshadowed by the harsh reality of her present.

She remembered the day her family was taken from her, the day she vowed to seek vengeance on those who wronged her. The once kind and gentle Yami had been replaced by a cold, calculated avenger. Her name, which meant ‘darkness,’ now perfectly suited the person she had become.

Suddenly, a rustling sound behind her snapped her back to the present. She turned swiftly, her hand reaching for her gun. A shadowy figure emerged from the trees, their face obscured by the darkness.

“Yami,” the figure called out, their voice deep and resonant. “It’s been a long time.”

Yami narrowed her eyes, trying to place the voice. “Who are you?” she demanded, her grip tightening on the weapon.

The figure stepped into the light, revealing a familiar face. “It’s me, Kuro,” he said, his eyes reflecting a mixture of sorrow and determination. “We need to talk.”

Yami’s eyes widened in recognition. “Kuro… I thought you were dead.”

Kuro gave a bitter smile. “A lot of people did. But I’m here, Yami, and there’s something you need to know.”

Yami lowered her gun but kept it ready. “Talk. But make it quick.”

Kuro took a deep breath. “After everything fell apart, I went underground. I discovered things, Yami—things about the people who took your family, about the ones controlling everything from the shadows.”

Yami’s heart pounded. She had spent years hunting down those responsible for her pain, but the trail had gone cold many times. “What did you find?”

“There’s a group, a syndicate,” Kuro continued, his voice barely above a whisper. “They call themselves ‘The Black Sun.’ They have their hands in everything—politics, crime, even law enforcement. They’re the ones who orchestrated the attack on your family.”

Yami’s grip tightened. “Why are you telling me this now?”

“Because you can’t do this alone,” Kuro said, stepping closer. “You need allies. And I know where to find them.”

Yami shook her head. “I work alone. I can’t trust anyone.”

“You can trust me,” Kuro insisted. “I’ve been gathering people—those who’ve been wronged by the Black Sun. We’re strong, Yami. We can take them down, but we need you.”

Yami looked into Kuro’s eyes, searching for any sign of deceit. All she saw was sincerity and a shared desire for justice. “Where do we start?”

Kuro smiled, relief washing over his face. “Follow me. There’s someone you need to meet.”

As they walked through the snow-covered forest, Yami couldn’t shake the feeling that this was the beginning of something much bigger than her personal vendetta. The fight against the Black Sun would be dangerous, but it was a fight she couldn’t turn away from.
