"Ouch, my head hurts.", while saying this Rex wakes up scratching his head. He opens his eyes to only find out that he was in a mysterious place.

"Wh-where am I?", that was an obvious question that any person would ask if he is unaware of his surroundings and so did Rin.

It was black, everything around him was dark. However, he was able to see clearly. It was a vast valley which was empty. It was as if only ghosts resided in this place.

"This is weird. Wasn't I… wasn't I just playing a game? And after that I felt a headache so I went to lie down on the bed for a bit, and when I opened my eyes again, I'm in a weird place.", was what he said after recalling the events one by one that he had done previously.

"Well, it doesn't seem to be any kind of prank or joke either. It all feels real hence it can't even be a dream. Then… don't tell me that I have transmigrated to another world!"

Rin was always praised in his old world for his high level of IQ. He was a genius of the century back on Earth and had received many awards too. And thanks to that high level of intelligence he was able to comprehend the things that were happening to him now.

"Hmm… What should my next step be? Yes, I need to comprehend and understand my surroundings a bit more. It can't be helped that I have transmigrated! Wait, don't tell me I died and was reincarnated here… but if that were the case then I guess I wouldn't have this body of mine.", he was thinking all this out of curiosity. He wasn't scared nor tense, he was just curious to know about the phenomenon that had occured.

"Whatever the case might be, it's true that I have been sent to another world. Now no use thinking about the possibilities of my death. I just have to understand my surroundings, so let's move on!"

After saying this he stood up on his feet and stretched his body a little and started walking. He slowly went forward and was checking all the things that lied in the ground or on the wall of the valley. He was observing everything keenly when suddenly he heard some noises.

"Kakakaka… A human? Here? Kakakaka, come on brothers let's take his body! First come first serve."

"What are these noises? In fact it's as if someone is speaking."

"Kakaka… kekeke… kokoko"

"Hahaha… hehehe..."

Rin was able to hear all the mixed voices that were coming from the deeper parts of the valley.

"It's weird. Do humans stay here? I mean certainly those voices were that of humans however they seemed a bit different."

Rex heard the voices again. He now started to think in a much deeper manner and after thinking for a few seconds he came to a conclusion.

"Definitely, these voices are definitely human voices but it's as if… it's as if their souls are speaking. " And whatever he thought was true. It indeed were human voices, however only their soul was speaking. Those were the remnant evil souls that were left into this abyss where they were punished in the cruelest way possible. Their souls were trapped in this abyss or valley due to which they were removed from the cycle of death and birth. Due to the resentment over a long time, they had now turned into evil souls and spirits with a lot of killing intent.

And suddenly a lot of spirits which were in black color rushed towards Rin.

"That body is mine!", said one of those spirits.

"No! That child is mine.", said the other.

However, the most common saying that Rin could hear was,"Give me you body."

Those spirits came rushing and were now not more than 10 metres away from Rin when Rin flinched for a second. And the next moment he knew was when all those spirits had surrounded him.

He subconsciously uttered a few words and suddenly a shield was formed around him which was glowing in yellow light. The shield surrounded him in all directions, right, left, above and below.

The spirits weren't able to pierce the shield and were maintaining a good distance between the shield and themselves. Rin was surprised by this wonder that just happened. Even though he was very composed from the beginning, he was stunned by this sudden appearance of the shield.

Then he tried to remember the words that he told, and when he recalled the words he was stunned. He said,"Seriously? I told 'Soul Shield Appear' "

He was surprised as all he did was utter an english line and that really happened. It was a shock to Rin as he had read in manga and watched in anime that it requires special spells for magic to be performed. However, in this world you just have to say it in English and imagine what you want! This brought a great surprise to him.

"This is interesting… What else fun can I find here?"

"What is happening? Why aren't we able to pierce through this shield?"

All the spirits were murmuring among themselves. Rin was able to hear everything loud and clear.

"It doesn't matter what you do, you won't be able to destroy this shield."

He was very proud by saying this and his proudness was reflected on his face. But the spirits were suddenly put into a state of confusion. They were stunned and were just staring at Rin.

"What happened? Why are they staring at me like that?", was what Rin thought in his mind.

There was utter silence in the surrounding. It was too quiet as if it was the silence before the upcoming hurricane. Then a few moments later one of the spirits shouted loudly and said,"How is this possible? A mere human is able to understand our language?"

It was followed by another spirit saying,"Impossible… it's simply impossible. There is no way a human can understand our language!"

"What are you all saying? I'm clearly able to understand your language."

Rin told that as if he was answering their doubts. But the spirits were now even more confused as till now no human other than the Legendary Hero has ever understood the language of the Spirits. They could only understand the actions of the spirit and nothing else. But this was the first time ever, someone could understand their language completely.

There were many spirits present and among them some were high ranking generals and warriors. Hence it could be said that the spirits also had their hierarchy and ranks. And according to that the strongest and most powerful spirits were given the title of Spirit Lord.

The ranks are- Spirit Lord, Spirit General, Spirit Knight, Spirit Assassin and Spirit Demon. These were the only four classes which the higher spirits had. The lower spirits rank were as follows- Lesser Spirit Lord, Lesser Spirit General, Lesser Spirit Knight, Lesser Spirit Assassin and Lesser Spirit Demon.

In the mass crowd of Spirits, there were six General Ranked Spirits. They came rushing in on hearing that the human could understand their language.

"He is mine… No one will interfere!"said one of the general ranking spirits.

"Ye-yes sir!"

"What's wrong with them? They are all fighting over my body? Am I some toy or what?"

Rin was angry when he said this.

"But this is weird… I just said some English sentences and I could perform magic? Was it just a coincidence or..."

Rin was now in his DEEP THINKING MODE.

And while he was thinking, his shield was still active and all the spirits were trying to break it. Even the Generals tried to break it but they failed. None could succeed in breaking the sheirl that Rin had created. However, Rin was not even bothering about what was happening. He was in his own world.

It could be said that Rin has a few special talents and Deep Thinking Mode is one of them. When Rin enters this mode, he keeps thinking and finding the best possible solution and method to solve any problem. When his curiosity is maxed out, he enters this state unknowingly. But the disadvantage of this mode is that Rin doesn't pay attention to his surroundings.

The Generals were getting angry on seeing how easy going Rin felt. Hence they entered their Rage Mode and now used 110% of their powers to crush the shield. But they were unsuccessful yet again. It was as if the shield has some kind of protection from the Gods and was unbreakable.

"Hmm… got it. Why don't I try saying some more English words? This experiment will tell me if I can use any English words and at any time and if they actually were the spells of this world." Rin after thinking this soon raised his right arm…

"F-Fire Blast."

All the spirits were surprised for a second. They thought that he was going to attack by seeing him raise his hand. However, nothing happened.

They all started laughing…

"Hahahaha!"

Rin then inhaled a bit and exhaled. "Hmm… So mere words are not enough. Something else is needed..."

He again entered his Deep Thinking Mode.

The spirits after laughing for a while again started their work for breaking the shield. However the shield was too strong to be broken. They kept on trying, however the result was always the same. The shield was too strong to be broken. So they were about to give up when they saw their lord marching his way towards the shield.

"Let me handle it you fools..."

All of the spirits suddenly bowed to him due to his overwhelming Aura. He marched his way all the way towards the shield.

"So this puny thing is what you all aren't able to break." He said this while lifting his right hand and then gave a big blow by punching the shield.

BAM

He had used only 60% of his power. And since he was the highest ranking Spirit, his power was far greater than any other Spirit.

Due to the blow there was dust flying everywhere and the vision was deteriorated for a brief moment. And after than when everything was clear, all of them turned their gazes towards the shield and as soon as they did they found a crack in the shield.

And on seeing that they shouted,"All hail the Black Lord!"

"All Hail the Black Lord!"

All the spirits were shouting with great joy as their lord was able to at least form a crack on the shield.

But the Black Lord on the other hand was shocked and terrified for an extent as he had used about 60% of his power but was still unable to break it.

Meanwhile, Rin was thinking about the thing that he was missing that would be essential in order to perform the spell. He then tried to recall everything exactly what had happened and then thought again.

"Hmm... first of all the english words are to be pronounced properly and the second thing that I'm missing... Is it imagination?"

Rin had entered his Deep Thought Mode and went on thinking about the incident whereas the Black Lord on seeing the calmness of Rin was shivering.

"How... how is he calm even in this situation? Not possible... don't tell me, he hasn't used even 10% of his power... and if that's the case then I'm doomed!" was what the Black Lord thinking in his mind.

All his men were seeing him with great respect and were thinking that their Lord had some secrete plan to defeat the boy. However, as they were all thinking this, the Black Lord announced,"Listen all. We might fight at a large scale and the destruction and damaged caused might be unimaginable. Hence, I order you all to go at least 10 miles away from this place."

The eyes of all the spirits were shining as if they understood their master well. The length of the valley was in total 20 miles and if they were to go to 10 miles from this spot, they would reach the end of the abyss. Even so, they didn't flinch instead obeying their master, immediately left the spot and went 10 miles away.

"Did-did all of them go? Good... now I can finally start!" The lord pulled out his extravagant sword which was twice as long as his height.

And at the same time Rin opened his eyes and saw emptiness around him. The only thing that he saw was the huge spirit who was wearing an armor had pulled out his long sword and was about to strike the shield that he had prepared earlier.

"Oh, so you opened your eyes finally. But it's too late now. I'm gonna finish you!"

"Oof, come on. What have I even done. Never mind that, if you attack me, I will attack you too." He again raised his hand as he did earlier repeating the same exact pose. He stretched out his palm and said,"FIRE BLAST!"

And while he said that the Black Lord swings his sword which hit the shield and the shield broke. He withdrew his sword to hit again but for some reason his instincts told him to kneel. And he unconsciously knelt and this is what saved him from the huge and powerful attach of Rin.

When he said 'FIRE BLAST', he had imagined a huge fire going out from his hand which on hitting anything would cause an explosion. Thus, Rin had aimed at the Lord's face and had fired it, however when the Lord knelt, the attacked missed him and went aimlessly above...

"Wait... why am I kneeling..." And when he realised that he was kneeling, he heard a big noise from behind...

'BOOM!'

The Black Lord slowly turned his head to check on the sound and what he found was... The whole valley had turned into ashes...

"This..." And when he tried to sense his comrades, he found out that only 6 of them survived and the remaining 800 spirits and souls had vanished. They had perished due to Rin's huge Fire spell.

"If-if I hadn't knelt...I would have vanished completely from the face of Earth..."

He now turned towards Rin and said,"Oh great master... please forgive my insolence and please guide us. I wish to be your servant forever... Please forgive me..."

Rin was fully confused and was unable to believe the vast amount of power that he had. Neverth less he said,"I accept your loyalty. Lift your head!"

The Black Lord slowly lifted his head and at the same time the sun too rose from it's sleep. The sun appeared exactly behind Rin and the Black Lord on seeing this view uttered just one word,"Magnificent..."

Hey all sorry for this short chapter and late update. Actually I won't be updating usually on Friday, Saturday and Sundays. But I don't want a 3 day lagging. I'm so very sorry because I too am a student and I need to work hard and study and since I'm a med student I can't afford to divert my concentration. However I like writing and thus I will try to bring you updates!
