Wearing smile of hope and courage Eve was running on the street of New York crossing Time Square she ran holding her old guitar on the back, shabby clothes and hair as short as boy. Her eyes resembles two Crescent moon when she smiles brightly. Torn jeans and old denim jackets and she was already looking like a boy.

She ran away from her orphanage when she was just ten years old and as she grew up on sleeping on the road she found that it was a curse to be girl and top of that a homeless girl so to avoid unwanted attention she changed herself as a boy.

It was already time of sunset and New York city shines bright in the dark of the night. As the dark spreads the city flares with twinkling lights and the night life of this city is way better than the day life that of heaven. But Evan was running to her workplace. She stopped at a small bar and heaved her chest, because of running and summer she was sweating like a pig. She hastily entered from the back door and an old man who is the owner of the bar threw her with disgusting look.

Owner: you lazy a$s boy... If you are late again...

Evan: what if I am late again..

Owner : dare you use violence here..

Evan walk near that old man and look in his eyes before saying " Boss... How can I be late... I don't dare to do that again... I was late today because mrs. smith wanted to pack some food for you.... Here.."

She isn't afraid of that old man but she pretend to be because of loving mrs. Smith the wife of this rude old man.

Owner: go... On the counter... Then don't forget to sing well... I if you don't do that well forget about your wage..

Evan: Yes boss..

She rolled her eyes and stood behind the counter. As she pretend to be a boy she even over power that manly aura...she looks super handsome. No one can see through her disguise. And every day she got hit by many young girls.... Some offer their number, some directly approach her. Some play showing full view of cleavage. And despite being a pure straight girl from inside she sometimes had to show devilish smile to those girls for extra sells... And these girls go crazy when she holds her guitar and sit on the chair... She sings like a pro.. And her deadly charm make it impossible for girls to take breath. Few days ago a blonde girl pulled her to the bathroom and when she saw the reality she fell unconscious and being a gentleman Evan had to take her to the hospital.

Such dirty things happens to her but thankfully she only needs to deal with girls, and not boys... Cause she is also pro in fighting she can handle ten men with her martial arts but her new year resolution was not to use violence and behave like a good guy. But her fate have something else decided for her.

After a long work, in the after midnight she was returning to her apartment with her best friend there she saw few young boys were chasing a girl and calling her with dirty names... And the girl inside her was verge of the anger... She handed her guitar to her best friend and kicked a$ses of those bastards...those boys ran away hearing siren of police car. Evan Give her jacket to that girl and went back to her apartment..

She and her best friend live together in same apartment and he is the only person knowing her true self. Lucas is same aged boy as her and these two are from the same orphanage. They both ran away from the orphanage and went through thin and thick together. Lucas is very sensitive guy who is not a bit interested in Evan. They both are like siblings and only Evan's being Asian make difference in their looks otherwise they both are just same.

Lucas: you know what you did..

Evan: yeah... I screwed up..

Lucas : what about your new year resolution... Liar a$s...

Evan: will you go and get me hamburgers... I am hungry man..

Lucas : don't change the topic... Now I'll have to clean up the mess... Why can't you Just let me live peacefully...

When Lucas saw Evan was already fast asleep on the couch. And he could only roll his eyes and throw quilt on Evan.

Everyone performed and enjoyed and public gathered around them also enjoyed and clapped and cheered.... Now it was Evan behind the mic holding her guitar and singing the most touching song. Everyone praised her actually him.. And then a joker performer challenged her for dance face off... She just said " bring it on" and started her dance... Break dance, hip hop, free style, back flip everything was as smooth as butter... And her every move got recorded in the camera. Which she didn't know will pave path to her family.

Evan threw another can to Lucas and jumped on couch... Chewing on pizza and taking sip from can she said..

Evan : I'll be going to orphanage in two hours...

She read the whole letter and unknowingly her eyes tear up after reading it... She resented her mother so much till now, but after reading this she was at loss... Her mother was suffering herself from a bizarre neurological disease which occurred after a deadly accident and later which caused her death... But she was brave enough to fight that pain and give birth to Evan... Knowing her mother's Name she cried for the first time like a child.. She even went to balcony to look at the sky... And said " I am sorry mom... I hated you... But you are the strongest lady I have ever met... And from now on I'll love you... Just watch over me. But it would have been great if you could tell me about the reason behind my birth.. I mean so called father.."

She talk for a while to her mother, while clutching on the Locket in her hands... She looked at the heart shaped locket and kissed it. But her eyes found something... On the back there was carved something on it... In a different language... Her heart stopped for a while and she ran to her room and to find trash can... She threw that business card in this can. She was totally out of control that she emptied that on the bed and search through the trash... Her hands got dirty but when she found that business card she sighed in relief...

Manager : they are thinking you are some celebrity... Because you are really handsome... Look there girls are dying... You will become famous soon...

She called the manager Yang and went inside the building... She was told to wait in the lobby... She was just silently sitting on the sit. But the female staff there noticed her as boy.
