Emma
(curious) What is it?
Sarah
(holding up a bundle of letters) A bundle of old letters tied with a ribbon. They seem pretty old.
Emma
(intrigued) Let's open them up and see what they're about.
Sarah
(reading aloud) "My dearest James..."
Emma
(listening intently) Who are they from?
Sarah
(flipping through the letters) They're all addressed to a man named James, written by a woman named Eleanor.
Emma
(leaning closer) Sounds like a love story from the past.
Sarah
(nodding) Definitely. They're from the early 1900s, during World War I.
Emma
(pointing at the letters) But wait, why are there only letters from Eleanor? Where are James's replies?
Sarah
(frowning) That's what I'm trying to figure out. It's like his side of the conversation is missing.
Emma
(thoughtfully) Maybe he was away at war?
Sarah
(nodding) That could be it. Let's see if we can find out more about them.
