Boom!

A loud sound came all the way from outside. Reign, who was in a middle of a good dream, suddenly wakes up from her bed.

What was that?

She hastily opens her window to witness what was happening and saw a huge black smoke far away. The people from the neighborhood saw what was happening and all went out from their houses making a commotion.

It's probably a small fire that went uproar for not being immediately taken care of. She thought to herself.

But another booming sound, now louder than before, made an impact that Reign feels a shake from the grounds.

Everyone made a jolt of scream. Reign can hear the people shouting "bomb".

The sound of helicopters and ambulances were already evident as the continuos booming sound made through.

Oh dear.

She can feel herself shaking, her heart racing. Reign, still in her pajamas, went out of her apartment after taking some things with her to look for Helen, her neighbor and co-worker.

"Helen! Helen!" She knocked her friend's door many times. The grounds are shaking and she is making sure Helen is awake.

Her body tells her to move out of the apartment since there is something bad that is happening. An unknown she wouldn't want to think would be happening.

The door immediately opens with a groggy Helen asking what's the matter.

This woman will be the death of mine!

"Let's move out now! Grab your phone and wallet," she discarded the curious remarks of her friend and immediately took her hand after seeing her phone is already with her.

"Oh my gosh, what the heck is happening?!" Helen yelled so loudly after feeling the huge shake from the grounds.

Reign was making silent prayers. She does not want to think of the bad. Once they stepped outside of the apartment, they can hear the people's screams of territorial bombings.

That only made Reign's heart race quickly.

Keep calm, Reign. You wouldn't want another heart attack happening to you in this situation.

Her friend seems to notice so she held tight Reign's hand knowing what will happen to her friend. "Breathe in and out, we can make it through Reign," Helen assured her friend as they move to look for a taxi.

People in the neighborhood were still in commotion. Everyone seems to know what would happen so some brought luggages with them.

Boom!

"Helen, I don't want to think what it is," Reign softly said, still shaking. She doesn't like to think although, for sure, she already has the slight idea of what was happening.

Instead of looking for a taxi, both of them ran away opposite from the origin of the now heavy black smoke. The surroundings were getting out of hand.

Reign can't help but think of her parents. What could happen to them?

While both of them are running away mindlessly, Reign contacted her mother's number. Everyone in the neighborhood was also running.

Please don't let them be in danger. Please, I beg you.

The number kept on ringing and as seconds pass by, she can't help but feel scared. Reign looks at her friend's face. She also has an overlying worried face but kept it strong.

After several attempt, the call was not responded. I can't think clearly! Surely mom and dad is in danger!

"Helen, mom and dad," Reign trailed, her voice shaking.

Then suddenly, as if on cue, a screeching sound came all the way above them. Right before Reign's eyes is a huge bomb falling above from the sky.

Boom!

Cold and dark...

It was cold and dark.

Everything around me seems dark. No trace of light and no trace of life. What happened? And why does it feel like I'm floating?

Child... a voice echoed. Who was that?

Do you want to live again? The voice appeared again. It seems to be asking me. What does that voice mean I want to live again?

Oh, right. I almost forgot what happened.

I died, right? Wanting to laugh, I can't. The air around me is cold and the realization of me died seems unreal.

Do you want to live again? The voice appeared again, once more. Do I want to live again? Of course, maybe, I don't know.

I just can't accept the fact that my life being a college student almost one year left until I can graduate and achieve my dream career will all put to nothing.

More importantly, I want to see mom and dad once more. What are they up to right now? Are they safe from the territorial attacks?

How about Helen. Did she survive? Guessing from that huge blow, I'm sure she did not.

My friend, Helen, I hope you are in safe hands right now. I can't imagine the worst happening to you.

But if this is a chance to live again, why not?

But the question is why me? I want to live!

Before I can respond anything to the unknown ethereal voice, I can't seem to move anything. Even my mouth was shut.

Very well. As if the unknown voice heard my thoughts, it responded.

Then suddenly before me, a burst of colors shine through. It was like a rollercoaster of dreams and memories. I saw a series of my previous life getting mixed up as everything accelerates through like a black hole. It was like I was here to remember my memories in a flash.

Beneath the whirlpool of colors reaches the destination of a huge, rusty, and old clock. It made a weird ticking sound and instead of the hands moving clockwise, the hands were moving counter.

You shall be given a new life. With this, you will realize your past mistakes and value the importance of life. The voice appeared out of nowhere and as if on cue, a loud bell from the clock reverberate around.

What did I do? What mistakes have I commited for the voice to tell me to realize? I admit I'm not perfect but what does the voice refers to?

Then everything suddenly went black.

Ding dong...

It was a huge bell. Waking up from the loud sound, I found myself resting under a tree.

What the? A cherry tree?

I yawned and stretch myself. Feeling a heavy weight on my body, I realized I was wearing a gown.

What on earth is happening?

Opening my eyes before me holds a beautiful scenery. The sun was rising and the birds were chirping. A huge blue mansion stood proud around the pink-blossomed trees and green grasses.

Am I reincarnated? I thought these things were all just an old man's tale! Not to mention, these situation is way back my great, great, great, I don't know how many greats are there grandfather is still alive!

Before my mind goes crazy from dissolving reality, a voice suddenly brought me back to life.

"Lady Reinalia, there you are! We have been looking for you everywhere!" The voice was familiar but I can't quite put the name exactly.

A girl in a gown showed fear and haste. Clearly, she was in a hurry.

Lady Reinalia? Is that this original body's name?

"Come, my lady! We must get you ready for the Duke's return. We must not waste time!" the girl grabbed both of my hands and ran towards the huge mansion.

Though I don't know who the girl is before me, a sense of familiarity washed through. The original owner of this body must know this girl.

When we enter the mansion, it was a enchanted all around. I didn't expect these things were real not until I saw one.

"Lady Reinalia, we must get you to bath. The Duke will be here around afternoon," another girl approached to us and held my unoccupied hand.

I was still in dazed and I can't believe I was reincarnated as a Lady.

We reached to what I assume is my room when there were many girls inside. Their faces showed relief when they saw me.

I guess this owner's body was a mischievous lady. Trying to let out the grasp of her attendant and maids.

Everything went blur. They prepared me a scented bath, made my hair up, and let me wear a corset! I didn't even have time to say something.

Who is this Duke for them to make this kind of commotion? I didn't even have time to sink reality!

After tightening my corset, the maids let me sit down in front of a mirror. Like a slow motion, I saw my face in the reflection. There was no denying it, it was still me.

But what's the difference? I look regal, prettier, and better. I was much more thinner than before and well taken care of compared to my previous life.

Not to mention, my hair is of different color. Golden brown and wavy, different from my previous life hair which was a dull and boring black.

"Please wait my Lady as we get your gown from the other room," Lillie, knowing her name from all the girls' ruckus, the one who grabbed me from outside smiled at me softly.

I unknowingly gave her a small smile. Even with the confusion I get, this body moved as if it has its own mind.

The door opened, revealing three maids with them holding a beautiful and enchanting gown.

The gown was in deep blue, with laces and gems. I suck at fashion in my previous life but all I can mutter under my breath was beautiful.

I assumed it was silk when the maids let me wear the gown softly. Soft and comfortable, it was tailored for my size perfectly.

"For the finishing touches," Lillie got something from the table which is a perfume. She spritz the thing around me, realizing the scent, it was probably Lady Reinalia's favorite.

I stood silently in front of the maids who were looking at me with a proud face. I don't understand what was happening but I smiled awkwardly at them.

"Seriously, Lady Reinalia, don't go hiding from us like that ever again," My other maid, Annie, pouted comfortably at me.

I guess this Lady Reinalia was a kind Lady to the house despite her mischief.

With a deep breathe, I finally thanked them. But still, I can't seem to remember who the Duke I will be meeting.

"Who am I to meet again?" I trailed in asking, hoping they won't get shocked to my question.

Lillie chuckled softly, "My Lady, you seem to forgot your husband is returning after three years from war. You sure do keep your words of sulking," to which everyone of my maids laughed.

What? Husband?!

But before I can react, a knock from my door stopped me.

"Pardon me for the intrusion," the door opened revealing the Head Butler, Ross, which name I've known earlier.

"The Duke will be arriving less than a minute. May I now guide you downstairs Lady Reinalia." He said with a bow.
