Mafia And Girl

new episode

Maria had always known that her family was different. She grew up in a world of shadows, where secrets were kept behind closed doors and whispers were spoken in hushed tones. Her father was a man of few words, but his eyes told stories of a life she could only imagine. He was a man of honor, she knew that much. But what exactly did he do to earn such respect from others?

As Maria grew older, she began to notice strange men visiting their house late at night, always dressed in black suits and sunglasses. They would speak softly with her father in the living room, their voices low and urgent. Sometimes they would leave envelopes filled with cash on the coffee table before disappearing into the night.

One evening, when Maria was 17 years old, she decided to confront her father about these mysterious visitors. She found him sitting in his favorite armchair, smoking a cigar and staring out the window. "Dad, who are those men?" she asked, trying to keep her voice steady.

Her father turned to her, his face a mask of calmness. "They're just some business associates," he replied, his voice smooth as silk. "Don't worry about them, they mean nothing."

But Maria couldn't let it go. She had always been curious, and this was too big of a mystery to ignore. She pressed him for more information, asking questions until finally, he relented.

"Alright, I'll tell you the truth," he said, his voice heavy with gravity. "I am involved with the mafia. These men you see coming here are my partners, we work together in various... ventures."

Maria felt like she had been punched in the gut. She had never imagined that her father, the man she loved and admired so much, was part of organized crime. She didn't know whether to be scared or angry.

"Why did you get involved with them?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Her father sighed, rubbing his temples. "It's a long story, but the short version is that I needed money to take care of your mother and you after your mother passed away. The mafia offered me a chance to make a lot of money quickly, and I took it. Now I can't escape."

Maria felt a wave of sadness wash over her. She understood why her father had made the choice he did, but she couldn't help feeling betrayed. How could he have kept this secret from her all these years? Did he not trust her enough to share his burden?

Over the next few weeks, Maria struggled to come to terms with her newfound knowledge. She avoided her father, unable to look him in the eye without feeling anger and disappointment. She knew she couldn't turn him in, though - he would likely end up dead or in prison if she did. So instead, she tried to distance herself from both him and the mafia, focusing on her own future and leaving the past behind.

Years went by, and Maria became successful in her own right. She built a career as a journalist, using her sharp mind and quick wit to uncover corruption and bring wrongdoers to justice. She never forgot her father's past, however, and often wondered how he fared in his dealings with the mafia.

One day, while investigating a tip about a local gangster, Maria received a call from an unknown number. When she picked up, she heard her father's voice on the other end of the line. "Hello, Maria. It's been a long time," he said, his tone lighthearted despite the weight of his crimes.

Maria was taken aback, unsure of how to respond. "What do you want?" she asked gruffly.

"I just wanted to hear how you're doing," he replied. "And to say that I'm proud of you. You've become quite the journalist, just like your mother."

Maria felt a lump form in her throat. Despite everything, she still loved her father deeply. "I miss you, Dad," she said quietly.

There was a pause on the other end of the line. "
