Hi everyone I'm CheesyCheska and welcome to my story. You can just skip this part by the way cause I did not have enough words to submit this, so yeah. I'm just using this as a filler. This story was inspired by a book I bought that is titled Charm Academy School of Magic by April_Avery which is a pop fiction story and somewhat similar to this story. I hope you enjoy reading and give me your opinions in the comments.

First person POV

"Dinner's ready honey!" Mom said while preparing the table "Yeah mom, wait up"

As I sat on the chair we started eating while watching the news. I'm just 5 so I still don't get the news. "Just in, another attack has been made in a small house near Cambridge ". Hey that's my neighborhood. "The attack was made by the people we call monsters, those people that have the ability to do whatever they want because of that so called mystical energy" Mom looked at Dad with an unpleasant look on her face as if she had a bad feeling. "Recently updates tell us that we have found a family of "monsters" in Cambridge, we need to kill them all before they kill us" Suddenly Mom told Dad something, something I didn't understand, it was like a different language. Then all of a sudden mom told me to get something from her room, the book she says, the one she hid under the bed. When I got it and went to her, mom faced me and held my shoulders, "Honey you need to do everything mama tells you to do okay?" I just nodded and we went in the bathroom, she told me to be quiet. Suddenly a big bang was heard from the front door. I heard very little of what was happening but I knew that it wasn't good.

"Burn, burn in hell! You all deserve to die!"

Everything happened so fast. I don't remember much of it now. My mind's a blur. All I knew was I had a book in my hands and "The book will help you" was the last words I remembered before running off to the forest alone.

I woke up to the sound of animals running about. What's happening? Where am I? Why is my vision so blurry? Where are my parents? All these questions run through my head.

As I was about to get up from the damp wet leaves, I saw a light dog like figure watching me from the distance. "Hello? Can you please help me?" I said as I attempt to get up but couldn't. I could feel my body ache all over as I remember what happened just moments ago. The fire, the book, the news, my parents, I remember, I remember everything. I started to tear up, not just because of those memories but also because of the physical pain it caused me.

"I won't forget this pain. I will find out why they did this to us. I will for my family, for~"

I screamed out as my vision started to become blurry, before I could utter my last words, I fainted on the wet damp forest floors.

Veronica's POV

"Oh come on Vee let's play outside, all you ever do is read that stupid book" Said the kids at the orphanage I stayed at. "It's okay you guys go on ahead" The children here like to play a lot. "You're no fun Vee" I just sighed and thought to myself, I'm already 17, I don't have time for games.

As I was reading the book, the first page always comes to mind "Don't reveal who you truly are" some kind of warning I guess. So I practice my magic that I discovered when I was 6 where no one can see me.

As years pass, I can say that I'm getting the hang of this magic thing. But it's getting kindda lonely being the only one here who can do magic. While reading by the porch I saw something in the distance, a red hooded figure that seemed human like, it was flying, well nearly flying , it was hovering, reaching something in a tree but barely knew how to fly. I saw a shoe on top of the tree "maybe that's what it's getting" I said to myself. I looked around to see if anyone was close by. I flicked my wrist and made the shoe fall from the tree. The figure put its feet on the ground, picked up the shoe and it looked at me, I was shocked. It was a guy, he seemed shocked too, he ran off into darkness and I didn't see him again. I was going to look closer when I heard a voice calling me.

"Vee? Miss Veronica Alexia" I stood up. "Yes? Ma'am?" She looked sad. "I need to talk to you about something, let's sit down first" So we sat down on a bench nearby "You see you're already 17 now and" before she could say another word I interrupted her "You're kicking me out aren't you?" I said looking at her. "You see dear you'll be 18 soon and this orphanage only cares for children 17 below. I mean you can have a job right?" She said to me while forcing to smile. "I get it, I'll be off later afternoon, I'm going to pack now" "I'm sorry dear" she said as she put her hand on mine with a concerning look on her face.

While packing my bags it hit me, where would I live? I don't know anyone!

After packing, I took my stuff and headed outside the orphanage. One last time I looked at the gate of the orphanage, "Thanks for everything guys" I said in a husshed tone to myself. Here I am waiting on the side of the road, maybe for a bus or something, I don't know, just something to get me out of here and hopefully somewhere I could stay for the night.

"Psst" oh, that startled me, I looked around, there was no one. I thought maybe there was just someone messing with me, then I heard it again. "Psst" this time I saw someone, it was a woman. "Hello Veronica" wait what? I was shocked who was this woman! "D-do I kno-know you?" I was ready to run away but then suddenly she took my arm " Don't be afraid, I know your parents, well I guess I knew them" I looked at her. "You knew my parents?" I finally got some words out of my mouth " Vincent and Erica Alexia? Yes I knew them" wait wahh?

"So you know what I can do? Can you do it too?" What? I was curious so I asked "You mean this?" As she said that, my bags flew for a moment and then touched the ground again " You are like me" I shouted, sorry I was excited. She hurriedly covered my mouth and spoke "Get in the car" I was hesitant at first but she seemed nice. While on the road, I asked her "Who are you?" I said while looking out the window " Oh I'm Sasha, call me Miss Sasha, I'll be the one taking care of you from now" taking care of me? Where?

"Where are we going?" I just looked at her, looking for answers. "To a place where your mystical powers gets enhanced and you will discover things you didn't know before. You get to meet other people who are like you" "What? There are others like me? Like us?" I'm shocked. "For now you should rest, we've got a long road ahead of us" she said while stroking my hair with her right hand and the other on the steering wheel. Sooner or later I found myself asleep while on the long road.

Vee's POV

I woke up to see that we were at a forest "Miss Sasha? Why are we at a forest?" I was confused " You see Veronica this is the only way to get to the school. " I looked at her "A school?" "Yes my dear, a school."

Wait? A school? I just sat there thinking about what it's like at the school. Will there be people like us there? Will they accept me? Hmmm I guess I'll just find out when we get there.

I was lost in my trail of thoughts when Miss Sasha spoke "Look up ahead Veronica" I did, what I saw amazed me. I saw a huge golden gate it almost looked like it was glittering. "Gate, do as I say, open" She said while flicking her wrist at the gate. Suddenly the gate opened up on its own "Woooaaahhh" I got real excited "How'd you do that Miss?" I looked at her astonished "I'll tell you a little secret, You actually just say the words and not flick your wrist at all, the gate recognizes voices. The wrist was just for extra drama" she said to me and winked. "Hahaha oh I get it" I laughed and continued sightseeing. To my right I see there's a lot of white roses here, a lot surrounding the fountain. To my left I see little hut-like houses "Miss?" "Yes Veronica?"

" What are those? " I said while pointing at the hut-like stuctures "Oh those are the houses of the guardians" huh? "Guardians? What kind of guardians?" I said looking at her confused "The guardians can come in any shape and form, they help guide the students here at mystic academy. They are wise creatures that give you tips and tricks to improve" "Oh wow! How do I get one?" I said in an excited tone "You don't get to choose them Veronica, they choose you" I was confused "They choose me? But how—" I was going to ask more questions when she cut me off "Every year the first years line up in front of the class and gets chosen by one of the wise guardians" "But what if they don't choose me? Is that possible?" I got sad thinking about it "Uhm it did happen before but it was just because the guardian was off on a mission that day, don't worry you'll get one, I know it" she said to me with confidence.

When we went inside the school, I could see a grand staircase in front of me, there was a huge chandelier too. As I walked by I saw a guy leaning against a pillar. He wore a light blue polo shirt and denim pants.

I'll admit he was kinda cool leaning there. When I was staring at him I didn't realize he was also looking at me and was looking confused "Oh sorry heh" I said and smiled sheepishly. Ahhhh gosh how long was I staring? I'm so embarrassed now. I could feel my cheeks starting to heat up as I ran off to the stairs and saw Miss Sasha waiting for me. "Let's go to your room shall we?" She said to me while leading me to a hallway. " We're here, This'll be your room room from now on, feel free to explore and make this school like your own home" "Thank you Miss"

As I walked in my room I saw two girls laying in their bed. One stood up, "Hi I'm Cass, Casidy Mayers" she had red hair, wore a leather jacket over a white shirt and ripped jeans "And the one still laying in her bed is miss Quin Peters, you can call her Quin" As I looked at her she was on her phone and listening to music "Oh, Hi I'm Quin" She said to me took off her headset and smiled. "So now you've met me and Quin, What's you're name stranger?" Cass says and looked at me " Oh sorry my name's Veronica Alexia, call me Vee for short" I said then smiled at them. "So Miss Vee, here's your bed next to it is your own closet. You can put your things there."

As I went to the closet I discovered that it was huge and already filled with dresses, jewellery, shirts pants and a lot more things it was like an entire size of a bedroom. "Wait? This is all mine? But how?" I looked at Quin confused. "You see Vee, here at Mystic Academy they already provide you with necessary things that you would possibly like" "But how did they know I liked reading books?" There was lots of books in there too. "Before we enter the academy the teachers actually kinda find a lot of information about us to know what we like and don't like. That's why every closet is different"

Oh wow okay that's a lot to take in. I was just standing between the closet doors all confused when Quin spoke "Hey, don't worry to much, you look flustered. We've got a big day ahead of us tomorrow" Quin said i a excited time "Why what's gonna happen tomorrow?" I asked in confusion " You don't know what tomorrow is?! " Cass said to me while looking persistent. "Nope, not a clue" I said looking at them confused "Tomorrow is our first day of class, and that means that—" "that we're going to meet new people like us?" I said cutting Cass off "Well that but what's more great is we get to meet our gaurdians!" Cass said excitedly "Then we better head to sleep then, we've got a big day ahead of us" Quin said excitedly "Alright, good night Quin, good night Cass" "Good night Vee" they said in unison. Sighs* "I wonder what tomorrow holds for me" I said while looking at the ceiling that's full of stickers that look like stars in different sizes.While looking at the ceiling, I hadn't noticed that I already fell asleep.
