The meeting of the unsolved
After months of hard training, Ayumi finally became an official police officer at a young age of 19
It was new hope and a new beginning for her
In a few months, her supervisor officer contacted her to get to a location he sent to her

It was busy at the entrance of the cabin as well as outside further away from Yamamoto and Ayumi.

He crosses his arms, calm about this situation.
But that caught Ayumi's interest

He turns his head with a slight surprised look

"Go ahead."
Ayumi walks around near the entrance of the cabin
There was scraped off grass, revealing the dirt underneath. like something has slid on it
Though, looking further where it is heading, it stopped only a few metres away from the entrance

"Did someone have pulled something heavy or wet on the ground..?"

*She frowns her eyebrows slightly, trying to think of a possibility.*
Ayumi approaches the entrance until a hand has stopped her in her way of entering

"No one can enter for the time being. An ongoing investigation is taking place at the moment."
Ayumi Aoki
"Ah, sorry." *She backs off, giving a slight nod.*

"Who is investigating?"
Satoshi Tanabe
"Detective Kaito is in the lead of this case."

Detective Kaito has been popular since just a few months ago when he solved a complicated case.

The officer slightly raised his eyebrow, concerned why you're just standing there blankly looking at the scene

*He hummed in thought before looking at his watch.*

"How important? I cannot let you enter that easily while it's busy inside."

The officer slightly steps aside, allowing him to enter through the wooden door

Ayumi nodded in return and follows him inside.
Inside the wooden cabin, police officers were surrounding multiple areas.
like items, furniture and some were looking at the floor
A lot of devices and equipment around on tables as well.
Ayumi analyses her surroundings as she follows Yamamoto through the stuffy, busy space

"Where is Detective Kaito?"
A Police officer turns his head around

"Ah- sergeant Yamamoto."

*Points his finger*
"He's in the kitchen."
Sergeant Yamamoto
*Nods*
"Alright."
They went to the kitchen which has a closed room
We went to the kitchen and saw a man with a trenchcoat, crouching down.

"Detective Kaito!"
Sergeant Yamamoto
"how's the investigation going?"
The man with the trench coat turns his head around before standing up to face him.

*sighs*
"Not going well as I thought."

"But I did find something..."
Sergeant Yamamoto
*Raises his eyebrow*
"Oh, Really now?"
Sergeant Yamamoto
"This is..."
The detective looks at her, noticing her presence

"I just found this earlier under a broken wooden plank hidden from sight."

"This might be useful evidence."

"You're absolutely right."

"Although this clock seems...strange."
The detective held the broken clock in his hands softly

He walks out of the kitchen and heads outside

Ayumi get caught a little off guard hearing him calling her "Chan," but smiles proudly at his approval

He shows the open plastic bag in front of the detective

*Puts the small clock in the bag*

*Checks his watch*
"It's getting quite late. We should put this investigation on hold for now."

"It's a pleasure meeting you, Officer Ayumi."
Detective Kaito
"I'll head out."
Detective Kaito gives one final nod to Ayumi and heads outside

*Sighs*
"Alright. You're dismissed, Aoki. We are done for today."
Ayumi Aoki
"Huh? Already?"
Sergeant Yamamoto
"Well yes, there's nothing to investigate anymore."

"You arrived at the very end while we were looking at the final clues."

"The clock Detective Kaito found appeared to be the last thing."

"The Seniors will be finalizing things. You can go home."

He watched her heading outside before talking with another officer
Ayumi walks back to the park where she parked her bike.
The night sky covered the park with dim lit lanterns
as well as the fresh, cool breeze washed over her.
What was that investigation?
Just...What is she missing?
That Area and the whole thing was a mystery

"Let's just go home."
She unlocks her bike and heads home, cycling through the night breeze and the moon's light covering through trees.
Deeper into the shadows
Of this...strange, uninformed case she is yet to know more about.
Her phone vibrated under her pillow.
She groans as she grabs her phone underneath.
The messages is from Sergeant Yamamoto.

Good morning, Officer Aoki. I trust you're still at home. Head to the police department at your earliest convenience.

Ayumi gets up and gets ready to head to the police department.
She packs her laptop with supplies in her bag and heads outside

And gets on her bike again to the department
When she arrived, she got Inside the big building, greeting her colleagues with a nod and bow to show respect to her seniors.

She is greeted by the familiar atmosphere of officers moving purposefully around about their duties.
The scent of coffee lingers in the air every morning like usual, like a thick cloth
Sergeant Yamamoto, expecting her arrival, notices her entering the usual meeting room where her desk takes place.

"Great, You're here."

*Bows*
"Good Morning, sergeant Yamamoto."

"The Deputy chief has taken care of your new desk."

He points at the nearby desk right in front of him.

He says in a surprisingly calming voice.

Her heart beats fast from being nervous, but she slightly smiles because of that.
Although she feels anxious about being in a new room and environment, she couldn't help but feel excited.
Someone approaches her desk
A blue-haired guy stood beside her, having a smile on his face.

"It's awesome meeting another partner!"
His voice sounds exciting and lively.
