There was a boy named Daniel who lived in the countryside called Buswang. 

       Night falls, Daniel went outside of their house because he was bored. The surroundings were almost pitch black that time and one thing he noticed was the sky. A full moon was there and he stared at it for a while, saying

     "Ohh the sky is very fetching today"

         However, he noticed that the moon was weird and it was getting closer, brighter, fuller and in a blink of an eye, everything just exploded in Daniel’s eyes and fainted

        Daniel woke up where he lost consciousness and went inside the house and was surprised to find a woman and an elf "You're finally awake, we've been waiting for you. It took you a while to wake up so we decided to go into your house" the woman said

      Daniel couldn't speak immediately because he was shocked to see an elf and an unknown lady inside his home

       "Speak up, Daniel" the woman spoke again

   "Who are you? What do you need and how did you know my name" Daniel said with a confused look on his face

       "Calm down, I'll explain everything for you, please do sit first" the woman said,

    he sat down and she first introduced herself, "I'm Claudine but you can call me Clau and don't be afraid of her "while pointing at the elf. He looked at the elf and immediately waved at him, "When you asked what we were doing here, well we just want to inform you about your power and what you need to do" Claudine continued

        He was dumbstruck by what he was hearing from these unfamiliar faces "I have power? How is that even possible.. I mean like I wasn't even told by my grandfather about these types things" he said

     They were quite for a moment but then the elf broke the silence

      "The world is in chaos, and we need someone to help us defeat these creatures drawing bloodbath all throughout different places" she said,

      Daniel thought for a moment and told them that "If you guys are looking for a person to defeat them then why did you guys come to me?" the elf looked at Claudine, she sighed "What we need is a counter, we felt something astonishing within you and we know you are a special boy" she said

         "But why me?" Daniel asked, "I have no power at all" he added again

       The elf walked up to him and held his hand then whispered "The world needs you, my child" Claudine came closer to them and took the elf's hand, they slowly faded into thin dust as they walked away 

      Daniel wasn't even given the chance to say what he was about to say when they left him hanging, he was slightly bewildered and suddenly he almost shrieked when somebody tapped him in the back calling out his name, he then turned to see…

   He saw his grandfather and asked him "How long have you been there, lo?" Daniel asked the old man "I just arrived Daniel" The old man replied…

           "Why are you standing here outside looking so pale it seems like you've seen a ghost or what, did something happen while I was not home?" he asked

      Daniel was afraid his grandfather would find out what happened earlier and would not believe him and think that he's going crazy "It's nothing, I'm just surprised you were here right away" he replied to his grandfather.

        The night came, Daniel still couldn't sleep because of what happened, he wanted an answer to all questions running in his mind

        The next morning, his grandfather bid farewell as he is about to leave to town "Daniel, I'm leaving and I have a lot more to do in town" Daniel said goodbye "stay home okay, I'm just reminding you not to let anyone inside the house" he then added said

     Daniel was curious as to why his grandfather said something weird but only brushed it off and just nodded.

       After his Grandfather left he decided to look outside and was surprised to see the woman and elf standing outside waiting for him to open the door 

          "What else do you need? I told you I don't know what power or fantasies you guys are talking about" Daniel said to the woman and elf 

     "Calm down Daniel, we didn't come here to start a fight" the elf replied

         The woman said next "We are here to teach you how to control your power and so that you can use it to fight against the creatures that are causing trouble in the human world" the elf said.

     Daniel's training has started in the forest which is not too far from their house, with him is the woman named Claudine and the elf who has not been identified yet

      He decided that they should practice in the forest to avoid his grandfather learning about what he has been doing and who he's been together with lately.

      2 weeks later Daniel learned a lot of things he didn't know about himself yet, where he fought against the creatures.  Daniel's grandfather is wondering why he has been leaving early for 2 weeks and coming home late at night.

  One night Daniel came home early and his grandfather caught up to him  "why do you come home so late at night, and in the morning you also leave early. Daniel tell me what's going on with you" his grandfather asked with a worried look on his face

         "Don't worry grandpa Jemmy, I'm taking a very good care of myself" Daniel replied to his grandpa. "It's good Dani-" Grandpa Jemmy didn't finish what he was going to say when somebody entered their home.

         "Daniel, hurry up, the Dalaketnon is coming here to attack you" Claudine yelled at Daniel to alert him and act quickly. Daniel moved quickly to protect his grandfather 

         "Hide, Grandpa Jemmy, I will explain everything to you later"daniel said to his grandfather 

      Claudine immediately closed the door, but the evil engkanto(dalaketnon) quickly entered

           The evil engkanto laughed at daniel

 "You can't handle us kid, so don't try to fight us" dalaketnon said

   "Don't challenge me and you might disappear quickly" Daniel said to the dalaketnon

      They started to fight inside the house, Daniel was about to kill one of them, but suddenly someone choked Daniel and threw him on the table, they thought he was alone, there were other creatures with him. Claudine used her power to fight the Sarangay. A sarangay is like a minotaur with a jewel attached to its ears.

      His grandfather used the power that he had been hiding for a long time, Claudine and Daniel were surprised by what his grandfather was doing but they just continued to fight the creatures until they disappeared. 

           They were surprised when someone suddenly came in "what's up? we're ready to fight" Jerwen said "then grandpa Jemmy finished" claudine said  and then sat down and took a deep breath          

     "I don't understand grandpa, am I the one who should explain? or you?" Daniel said 

    "I don't know how to explain it to you but me and your father are like you, we also have powers" Grandpa Jemmy said "your mother was cursed by the fairies and her elf that's your mother" Grandpa Jemmy continued.

Flashbacks 

"Don't hurt my wife" Jules shouted at the tikbalang, but the tikbalang still hit his wife

He got upset and rushed at the tikbalang but the tikbalang immediately took action and attacked the man

His wife was cursed by Anggitay that she will remain an elf until their child grows up and their child defeats their clan and other creatures

Since then, the man who is Daniel's father has not been seen

Present Time

   Daniel learned the truth that his mother, whom he had been looking for for a long time, was now with him

Daniel didn't know what he was going to feel because it was full of anger and sadness

"But grandpa Jemmy, is my father dead?" Daniel asked his grandfather

“The tikbalang and anggitay have a human body and a horse's chin, but the tikbalang is a man and the anggitay is a woman" Jerwen interrupted their conversation

"Why do you know?" Daniel asked Jerwen

"Because that is the story of my father who is also a friend of your father" Jerwen answered him.

        “By the way, why are you here? You just appeared from nowhere” asked Daniel

“Well, I have superpowers too. I can teleport!” Jerwen replied

“Lucky for you, you now know what’s your power whereas for myself I don’t really know yet what power I possess. I need to know more about this gift of mine” Daniel sat down with a sad face. 

   Night falls, Jerwen decided to have a sleepover in Daniel’s home

     While Jerwen is snoring and is sleeping soundly, Daniel couldn't sleep at all

He decided to look out the window, he noticed something strange that seemed to be burning in the distance

He woke up Jerwen and they immediately went out to see what it was

So they went there despite the heavy rain

They didn't realize that they were already far from where they were going when Daniel asked Jerwen

    "What kind of creature is that?” “I don’t really know but it’s cool”

   "Let's go, we have to follow it" They heard a voice of a woman coming towards them

They were so scared that they had to hide in the bushes.

   When all of a sudden 2 young ladies approached the ball of fire

“Aha, finally we are here” said Charmelle

While the other lady named Alliah, was catching her breath they were frightened by a sudden movement in the brushes

“Ahh!!” They screamed

Charmelle slowly approached the brushes to check who was there

When Daniel and Jerwen stood up it surprised Charmelle and ran towards Alliah.   

    "I think we were reunited” A familiar voice echoed through the forest

Claudine was standing at a distance and was smiling as if there was hope in her eyes

“Greetings my dear chosen ones. I was the one who sent the santelmo. I am glad that you all gathered here tonight" She said

“Uhm, what exactly is a saltemo? Alliah asked confused

"All I know is that it's called santelmo so we can't catch up, we were truly reunited" said Jerwen

Alliah was about to say something to Charmelle when she suddenly froze and remained silent because he saw someone in the distance that was Amomongo, a man-sized ape with long nails.

  Charmelle asked Alliah “Wow, for once you are silent today what’s wrong with you?”

Then Alliah whispered “Don’t move” while pointing at a distance

“Oh I’m not the type of person who can easily be pranked” Charmelle laughed but when she turned around…

    There was an Amomongo staring at them with hunger in his eyes, he was ready to devour them.

But luckily Daniel was really fast and stabbed the creature in the back

The Amomongo was furious and fought back, they all ran and he chased the counters

“We need a plan” said Alliah

“Oh let’s confuse him, let’s split directions” Daniel replied.

         All of them ran in different directions to escape from the Amomongo.

Daniel ran until he reached the edge of the river, he looked back to see if he was being followed by the Amomongo but when he made sure no one was chasing him that’s when he stopped running and catching his breath.

He looked at his surroundings to search for an easy route to get back with the others since he was not familiar with the forest

While looking around he noticed a figure of a person sitting beside the lake.

He could not clearly recognize the figure of what he saw, so he decided to come closer. 

   When Daniel got closer he saw that this person had the tail of a fish and he realized that it was a sirena. 

      Daniel went away as soon as he saw her but when he turned around, there was the amomongo behind him

The siren saw that Daniel needed help and she called him

"Hey, come here, I'll help you. Just don't be afraid of me"

Daniel didn't know if he should believe the siren or not. 

         The amomongo came closer to him so he had no other choice but to run to the sirena’s direction

The amomongo attacked them but the sirena quickly pulled him under the water and the amomongo could not reach them

They went to another part of the river and Daniel got up quickly to push the amomongo into the water and the sirena quickly pulled the amomongo but the amomongo quickly moved and fought them both.

Alliah’s POV

       While the vampiric birds were chasing us, I distracted them

Jerwen took the opportunity to teleport us in a different direction and made a small portal in front of the vampire birds not so far

I finished them off with the use of my powers.

Another load of vampire birds were coming right at us and were about to attack us. 

    Claudine and Charmelle arrived just in time and killed the vampire birds that were trying to attack them

"Hurry up while the other wakwak are still far" Claudine said. 

        They ran as fast as they could to get away from the vampiric birds.

"I didn't know that you had that kind of ability, Jerwen" Alliah praised him

"You were very cool with your power though" Jerwen replied.

Jerwen has the ability to teleport so they were not aware that it is also possible for Jerwen to make a portal

"We don't have time, so let’s hurry and look for Daniel. He's not used to being alone, especially when this forest is enormous and full of creatures we still don’t know of" Claudine told us.
