...{A/N: Just to make it clear, I will make this fanfiction a completely different AU since there will be some events that didn't happen in the canon of the Arifureta story. I'm only doing this because I had this idea suddenly pop into my head when I was reading an Arifureta fanfiction.}...
...----This Chapter is Written by Void-King----...
The scenes of a destroyed bridge can be seen in the darkest part of the Labyrinth, with a few Magic Stones illuminating their surroundings. On the said bridge, a group of people can be seen on the other edge.
"HAJIME-KUN, SHIZUKU-CHAN!" Shirasaki Kaori yells and tries to go to where her crush and best friends are, but she is being stopped by her classmates and some of the knights who were with them.
She does her best to G towards her Best friend and crush, but suddenly, she feels her consciousness slipping away. That's due to the Captain of the Knights, Meld, delivering a karate chop to her neck.
The group drags the unconscious Kaori out of the bridge towards a safe spot.
On the part of the collapsed bridge, a girl can be seen holding onto a part of the bridge with one hand, while her other hand is holding another person.
"Yaegashi-san, please let me go. At least save yourself," Hajime Nagumo says to the girl.
"No, we will get through this. They will come and help us," Yaegashi Shizuku says while trying her best not to lose her grip on the bridge.
She can feel her arms getting numb as the minutes pass, and she is slowly losing her strength. Even so, she does her best to hold on since not only her life is at stake but also the life of another person dear to her.
While still struggling to hold on, she could see a shadow of someone approaching them. She couldn't see their face because her eyes are starting to get dizzy, and the visibility is low due to the darkness of the room.
"Oh, so you two are still holding on, but too bad I need the two of you to be gone," the person says. Shizuku can hear that it's a female voice, but she can't identify it. In the next moment, she feels pain in her hands, which is due to the unknown girl stabbing Shizuku's hands with a knife.
Due to this, Shizuku unintentionally lets go of her grip, and she and Hajime fall down into the abyss.
"KYAAHH!" Shizuku screams as she and Hajime fall into the abyss.
You might ask, how did it end up like this? To answer that, let's rewind time.
On a normal day in Japan, the sun is starting to rise from the horizon, indicating that a new day has arrived.
For some, this is just a normal day, but for Hajime, this is a very special day because it's Monday. You may ask, how did it become special? Well, every Monday, Shizuku, his childhood friend, and first love, will come to his house early in the morning, and the two of them will go to school together. You may ask again, why do they go to school together? The answer is quite simple: the two have been best friends since childhood, and during their grade school days, they would always go to school together every day. However, this changed during their high school days because when everyone saw the two of them going to school together, they misunderstood that they were in a relationship. To make it worse, someone started spreading rumors about Hajime, such as him seducing Shizuku and blackmailing her.
Kouki, the school heartthrob, even confronted Hajime, saying that he should stay away from Shizuku, or else he would report him to the authorities. Shizuku tried to stop Kouki and the spreading of rumors, but it didn't help. Instead, someone made it even worse, claiming that Hajime was a disgusting otaku who was blackmailing Shizuku to do his bidding.
So, the two decided to stop going to school together and only go together early in the morning, before the other students arrive at the school grounds.
Hajime had his breakfast, and after eating, he immediately went outside and waited for Shizuku. After a few minutes, Shizuku arrived.
"Good morning, Hajime-kun."
"Good morning, Yaegashi."
The two greeted each other and went on their way toward the school. While walking, they had a conversation about what they did during the weekends.
Once they arrived at their school, they went their separate ways. Hajime went to their homeroom, while Shizuku stopped by the kendo club room to do her daily check on the equipment.
Another thing that everyone knows, the rest of the story unfolds with Hajime sleeping during class, Kaori insisting that Hajime eat more during lunchtime, and their classmates glaring at Hajime. Then, the summoning magnet appears, and the whole class gets summoned to the world of Tortus and is asked to fight in a war that isn't theirs.

Back to the present, Shizuku is on the ground, unconscious. After a few minutes, she starts to wake up.
"Where am I?" she asks herself, feeling pain in her body. She takes a look around her surroundings and remembers that she fell from a bridge due to someone.
She looks at her bleeding hands and uses a piece of her clothes to bandage her wounds. Then, she looks around once more, remembering that she wasn't the only one who fell.
She searches for any trace of Hajime's whereabouts while ignoring the pain allover her body, but it seems that she and Hajime got separated during their fall since There's no Trace of young boy in her surrounding not even a Shadow of the boy can be seen.
She immediately gets up and starts running, with only one goal in mind: and that is to find Hajime in this abyss.
Unknown to Shizuku, the Place where she is currently in was a Place filed with Dangerous Monsters, and this place is where her New Life will start.

Shizuku runs and runs into this endless darkness, but it seems that she is getting nowhere. What worries her the most is that the place she is in right now doesn't have any monsters.
"I have a bad feeling about this," Shizuku said while running.
Unknown to her, a pair of red glowing eyes were looking at her as if she were its prey. It was stalking the young girl, waiting for her to tire out from running.
Shizuku keeps running and running into this darkness that seems endless until she Heared a sound that echoes within the room, accompanied by the eerie flutter of wings. A gigantic white bat, its eyes burning a malevolent crimson, descends from the cave's ceiling.
Seeing the Giant Bat Shizuku draws her artifacts, ready to confront the menacing creature that descended from the shadows of the cave's ceiling.
'What is this creature?' She thought. Shizuku's heart raced, and her body started to tremble, her breath visible in the cold, damp air. The tension in the room was palpable as the two beings locked eyes.
Silence echoes through the room, and Shizuku is the first to strike. She lunges herself at the colossal bat.
Even though she is scared, she needs to finish this enemy that stands in front of her. Every second spent here could lessen Hajime's chance of survival.
Shizuku swings her sword towards the giant bat, her sword slicing through the air. The bat reacts with surprising speed, dodging her initial strike and retaliating with a flurry of razor-sharp wing attacks. Shizuku parries and dodges with remarkable agility, her sword dancing like an extension of her very being.
This is no surprise since Shizuku is someone who comes from a family filled with warriors, and Shizuku has superior speed, even faster than that of the Hero Kouki. And Most of her skills specialize in hit-and-run tactics.
Their battle rages on, echoing through the cave as they clash, a ballet of skill and ferocity. Shizuku's white-knuckled grip on her sword never wavers as she fights valiantly to defend herself against the relentless creature. Sweat and blood that comes from her injury glisten on her brow, and her breath quickens with each passing moment.
Then, in a moment of perilous misstep that she made, the gigantic bat lunges forward.
'No... I can't dodge this,' Shizuku thinks as she readies herself to receive a blow from the Wings of the bat. But instead, the bat sinks its fangs deep into Shizuku's neck.
Shizuku was Suprise on what the bad did but a moment later, Pain started to sears through her body as she gasps in agony, feeling her very essence being drained away. Time seems to slow as she realizes the dire consequences of this bite.
As the bat retracts, leaving Shizuku trembling and weakened, for an unknown reason, the bat moves away from her as if it has lost interest in Shizuku.
Meanwhile, a transformation begins to take hold of Shizuku's body. Her once raven-black hair turns as white that is whiter than the snow, and her eyes, now reflecting the same sinister crimson as the bat's, bear the mark of her newfound affliction. Two tiny fangs have taken root in her mouth, forever marking her as a half-vampire.
Shizuku's breaths now come in shallow, measured puffs as she struggles to come to terms with her altered existence. The darkness of the room is the last thing she sees before she loses consciousness.
Meanwhile, Hajime has faced a giant white bear that has cut his arms and eaten them due to the fear of dying. Hajime digs a hole using his transmute skills until he loses consciousness due to exhaustion from using transmute over and over.
Once he wakes up, he notices that he is in a cave and has survived due to the healing water called Ambrosia that he accidentally found.
Hajime crawls to the wall and cringes in fear of the creatures that would be there if he went outside.
Both his heart and mind are broken. He can only remember the look on the white bear's face, a look that broke any determination Hajime had. Now he has nowhere to go.
"Someone... save me..." But those words reach no one. Hajime lies hugging his knees.
Four days have passed just like that.
Hajime barely moves these past few days. Even though the ambrosia keeps him alive, it doesn't satisfy his hunger, and Hajime spends all this time starving while the ambrosia keeps him alive. He also feels a lot of pain in his severed limb.
"Why did I end up like this?"
He thinks about this several times during the last day. While suffering hunger and phantom pain, he can only think this. So after suffering for so long, he decides to stop drinking ambrosia and take the easy way out. But then.
"No. I want to live... I want to see her again."
He doesn't know why, but he can't let himself die. The memories of a certain girl flash before his eyes, the only person who truly cared for him aside from his family, the girl who also fell down into this abyss with him. Hajime thinks of that girl, wondering where she could be now or if she's still alive.
It's the 7th day since Hajime arrived at the cave. Hajime is still suffering heavily from hunger. He wants to go and find Shizuku, but the fear of leaving is much stronger.
"Why don't I die... hurry... no, I don't want to die... I want to see her."
On the eighth day, Hajime's mind begins to go through changes, shifting between wishing to die and living. Hajime begins to have dark thoughts, but when he thinks of doing something dark, her face always flashes through his mind.
"Why do I have to suffer so much? I didn't do anything to deserve this. I was kidnapped by God, my colleague betrayed me, and that monster ate my arm."
These past few days, while thinking about what brought him here, Hajime remembers the fireball that hit him. There was no way that one of his cheated colleagues could have screwed up a spell, and the spell coincidentally hit him. Someone did it on purpose, and he has a good guess. It was the boy who tormented him every day because he was jealous of Hajime because of Kaori and Shizuku.
On this, he also remembers the voice that came towards them when Shizuku and he were on the bridge, the female voice who stabbed Shizuku's hands, causing them to fall into the abyss. Although the voice is familiar, he can't seem to pinpoint who it belongs to.
On the 9th day, Hajime's thoughts get darker.
"Who did this to me? Who hurt me? Who forced all these irrational events on me? Who is it that tried to kill us?"
Hajime begins to look for an enemy. All these horrible events eat away at Hajime's soul.
"Why didn't anyone come to help me? What must I do to make this pain go away? What do I want? I want to live. Who is stopping me? The enemy. Who is the enemy? Those who get in my way. What should I do with them?"
Without realizing it, Hajime begins to talk to himself and answer his own questions.
As more days pass, Hajime slowly loses his mind. But the thought of finding Shizuku keeps him hanging on to whatever sanity is left in him. Until one day, he decides to do something that no one else could put themselves to do, and that is eating monsters for the sake of survival. He decides to hunt monsters and eat them, causing him to change.
Meanwhile, Shizuku has woken up. She doesn't know how much time has passed since her battle with the bat, but all she knows is that right now she is lying on the floor, covered in dirt.
She gets herself up and holds her head with her hands. "What happened?" She asks herself until she notices white hair on her shoulder.
"Whose hair is this?" She asks herself again until she realizes that the hair actually belongs to her. She looks around and finds a pond of water, and when she looks at her reflection in the water's surface, she sees whiter hair than snow, a pair of crimson red eyes, and small fangs in her mouth.
"What happened to me?" She asks again. Now that she notices her appearance has changed, she also feels that her body feels lighter, her senses are enhanced, and her surroundings are brighter than usual.
"Wait, don't tell me..." To confirm her suspicion, she takes out her status plates from her pocket. Luckily, they didn't get damaged during her battle, and what she sees surprises her.
