I looked down from the balcony of my room and saw my elder sister Crown princess Julia Edward knight practicing sword fighting with Dante.İf a normal person would see her right now they would definitely say "The crown princess is working hard for the throne, for her kingdom and many things more" but as her sister I can tell how much she hates the throne. She never wanted to be the Crown princess but being the eldest one she had to.Although I am glad that despite her hate towards the crown she's still fulfilling her duty.

I turned around as I heard a knock on the door.

My handmaiden came in & told me that The King was looking for me. I nodded and she left.I looked back at my sister and then left to get ready.

As I headed downstairs to meet my father I walked past the painting of Queen Elena II. I am still amazed by the myth of Queen Elena II. There is a myth about a crown princess inheriting the powers of Queen Elena II. Some people say that her powers were very powerful and many queens generation from generation have inherited these powers. But when Queen Elena II passed away, some people believed that she was the last one from the line of the princesses who inherited the powers & those powers died with her. But many still believe that one day a crown princess will inherit these powers again. İt's almost been 250 years since the death of my great-great-grandmother.I believe in the myth.I often thought what if Julia's the crown princess who was going to Inherit these powers I always exclaimed with excitement.İ was giggling when a maid passing by asked me " Milady are you fine?" I coughed and said "yes yes I am fine".She bowed and walked away. Being a princess is hard. I sighed and left for my father's room.

I knocked and entered my father's room when he didn't answer.I saw him standing by his window and walked to him.İ bowed and said: "Your majesty you asked for me". He laughed and said I see "you have been behaving yourself my princess".He pinched my nose and I sighed as I rested my elbows on the balcony "Yes yes my dear father i am doing as you said".He smiled and gave me a hug." Well i asked you here for an important thing".İ looked at him and said " Yes what is it?" My father replied "I am holding a ball for Crown princess Julia.I want her to meet the important people of the kingdom in this ball and I want you to arrange the ball" I stand straight with excitement "Really you are letting me do it you know in order to make arrangements i have to go outside...."

"Yes yes i know and you can go but I want the ball to be the best ball of this kingdom"

I hugged my father giggling with excitement "Thank you dad" my father laughed and sighed at the same time and said "There you go being your usual self again"

"Avery" I heard my sister calling out my name. I got up and opened the room "Yes what is it? You know I am a busy person arranging your ball"

She came in "Yes I wanted to talk about that I think father's arranging a marriage for me this ball is just to announce it". "What??" I said on the top of my lungs.

"Shh Avery keep your mouth shut father can't know that I know about this" She said and I thought for a second and said "No no no how could it be.The ball can't be about your marriage it's just for the Crown princess to meet the important people in the land.Besides You are the crown princess it can't be your marriage you know that you are the eldest and next in line to throne right?

In a few months there's gonna be a coronation ceremony,and you are going to be crowned as

I stood up, dramatically bowed & said "Queen Julia Edward Knight"

As much as you hate it that's the truth my dear sister.She sighed and said "At least you know that I hate it no one else even father can tell." She looked at me one last time and left."

It was the next morning and I got up with excitement because Today was the day I was going out as a commoner because no one in the kingdom had ever seen Julia or me only the people inside the Palace did.

I wore a matching blazer with skirt set.I looked in the mirror one last time and left.

Avery's outfit

"Lala lala lala" I sang as I headed downstairs.I entered the room and greeted my father.

"Morning dad" My father turned around surprised by my change of "YOUR MAJESTY" to "FATHER" and now to "DAD".He patted my head "I am asking you again to take the bodyguards with you"

"Dad please not again.We have already talked on this topic besides bodyguards attract more attention."

I looked at him and he looked worried so I reassured him "Dad don't worry no one outside the Palace no what I look like how can they know that I am the princess of their kingdom and you know Jenny is going with me so pls don't me now"

I looked at him with puppy eyes and he agreed.

I got in my car and left to pick my bff jenny up.

"hey, hey if it isn't my fav princess" She said as she got in.I laughed and said "Ahem ahem what princess?"

The ball's arrangements are nearly done.I just need to handle a couple more things.The theme is bold red,gold and black.I need to buy a dress that's why I am going with jenny.We went in and out from boutique and boutique.

"Ugh there's not a single dress" Jenny sighed and said "yes I think the new collection is not out yet"

I looked around and said " Oh yes there's this brand called Elora around the corner I bet they are gonna have a nice collection"

Jenny's phone rang and said " I need to pick this up you go on I will join you in 5 minutes."

I nodded and went in the direction " Uh ahh where is it? It should be here oh shoot did I make the wrong turn" I turned around to go back when someone grabbed my hands behind my back and put a cloth with something on it.I felt weak and then everything went black.Damn I fainted before I could even see the face or something of the person who was doing this.

I opened my eyes and saw the ceiling of my room.I thought to myself "What he just brought me back to my own room.Why didn't he call and threaten to kill me for some ransom money like in the dramas"

"AVY you are up oh my god I was so worried"

I heard my sister's panicked voice and said " I am not gonna die so easily but why am I here"

She wiped her teary eyes and said " Your knight in shining armor brought you back well he saw that person fainting you and fought him and then jenny came looking for you and they came back with you and now Dad's hiring that guy as your personal bodyguard

"My what in what and dad's doing what??"

Wow! dramatic much.

I am still confused by yesterday's events. I am still shocked I asked Jenny about the guy who practically saved me from the certain someone who was trying to harm me. She said when she reached there it was only me and him there was no third person. When Jenny asked him about the guy he just said he ran away which is strange.

         I was thinking about the whole incident when my handmaiden Annie came and asked me to get ready. I wore a satin skirt with a white top and headed downstairs for breakfast.

Avery's dress:

In AZURA our kingdom the princesses can dress however they want without any restrictions. The princesses have their freedom except for going outside well this one is just for me.

My sister goes outside whenever she wants it used to be the same for me too until I got kidnapped by some gang when I was a teenager after that incident Dad is overly protective of me and I am sure after yesterday's events I am never allowed to see the outside world.

I walked to the dining area looking down at my shoes I was thinking "Is dad ever gonna allow me outside?" until I was interrupted and bumped into someone. I could see from the shoes that it was a man so I didn't bother to look up and apologized "I am sorry" I started to walk away when the man said "A princess should not apologize" and it made me stop "holy shit his voice is so beautiful' i know I completely missed the point here whether its a queen, princess or any person. Everyone should apologize for their mistakes. if I would have been in my right state right now I probably would have given him a lecture by now but I ignored it and turned around.

Our eyes met and I saw his forest green eyes for the first time I nearly said the f-word out loud but I managed to behave. His forest eyes were staring into mine and I couldn't look away. then I saw his delicate lips and oh boy he's so beautiful oh shoot as I was admiring him I didn't notice our proximity. I cleared my throat and said, "Who are you?"

He was still staring at me with an unreadable expression when I heard my dad say "Oh I see you have already met Ethan"

I looked at him and then at my dad "He's the guy who saved you and is now your bodyguard. I must say that this accident was indeed a blessing in disguise as we found you" my dad said with joy and patted his back.

He answered my dad "Yes sir likewise it's an honor to serve you" he said the last two words looking at me.

I glared at him and asked my dad if I needed to talk.

     I entered the room and started pacing "Dad it's not fair you didn't even ask me and just hired him"

My dad sat down on the bed ' Look avy I know you are upset but I can't risk your safety anymore. After what happened to you no I just can't so that's your personal bodyguard and that final".I sat beside my dad by looking at his worried face I reassured him not to worry and for now agreed for Ethan to be my bodyguard.

                  I can sense something is off about him and I need to find out what exactly it is. I agree that he's attractive I am not a fool. When Jenny told me his side of the story about the incident I knew he was lying because if he catches the guy drugging me and even saved me from him. Why did he let him run away?

my instincts are saying not to trust this guy and I definitely won't.
