In a certain city, a baby was exploring his surroundings for the first time. As he looked around, he couldn't help but wonder why everything appeared so big to him

‘What is this? Why is my hand so tiny? Am I a baby?’

‘Wait, why am I in a cradle? And why does everything look so much more colorful than it should be? It’s like I’m in a vivid dream! I can’t help but be fascinated by the intensity of the hues surrounding me. It’s as if someone turned up the saturation dial on the entire universe. But how did I end up here? And who put me In this cozy little nest? So many questions, so few answers.’

While he was discovering new things around, a figure walked in.

“Oh,Rupel,are you awake? mama is coming…..let me feed you”

She was Rupel’s mom. She gently picked him up and began to breastfeed him.

“You must have been hungry, here you go honey”

While he felt awkward for the first time, it was also the only source of food for a newborn. That’s why

he gets used to it.

While drinking milk he was wondering what happened to his past self.

He was a graduate and was researching for his thesis to get his doctorate degree. He was researching quantum mechanics to merge it with classical physics. However, many people claimed to have successfully managed this merger, but in reality, they merely assumed the existence of more than four dimensions to prove their theories. We live in four dimensions*¹, and we cannot prove more than that.

Thinking about his past life, he remembers the last moment of his life. He was on a trip to the US, and while walking on a street, he suddenly fell unconscious. By the time he realized it, he was a baby.

‘But how do I remember my past life? Weird.’

It had been almost 6 months since his birth, and during this time, he was trying to learn more about this world so that he could figure out whether he was on Earth or not. As a physicist and graduate, he never thought that there was only one planet that could support life in this massive universe, and he certainly didn’t believe that there was only one universe. And as a normal human being, you might be thinking, “Why am I assuming this stuff?” Well, I ask you, “Why not?”

During this time, I also realized that I was the second child in the Kallos family, and my name was RUPEL KALLOS. Apparently, his father, RAKSHA KALLOS, was a marquis. I certainly don’t remember the name of the Kingdom or Empire I was in, but a 6-month-old baby doesn’t need to know that Anyway, so he doesn’t care at all.

As the second child in the Kallos family, you must be wondering who my elder brother is. Well, his name’s VATOR KALLOS. As fearful as his name sounds, he was quite the opposite. He is 2 years old and was very smart (from my perspective). He can already do 2-digit arithmetic, which is quite unusual for a 2-year-old, but it would be even better to call him a baby.

My parents don’t show much on the surface, but they are secretly very happy. And how do I know? Well, I’m a 6-month-old who can’t stay away from Mommy for a longer time. Even though we have a maid for my care, my mother usually spends most of her time with me while I’m in her embrace.

Time flies

I am approaching my first ever birthday and there’s quite a commotion in the castle. It looks like everyone is preparing for my appearance.

When a child is born into a noble family, the news doesn’t travel much. However, after almost a year, all the nobles get to know about it. In order to show the child to them and also celebrate the birth ceremony, they adopt a one-year appearance function. The Kallos family has a higher ranking than other nobles of the empire, except for the Royal family and duke families.

There are eight positions in noble rankings in the empire I was in:-

Head knight / head mage

Knight

So my father has to invite all the eight nobles. While most of them will actually come, Dukes, Head Knights, and Mages won’t (they don’t come in person very often). The Head Knights and Mages have special positions. According to theory, they should have less power than Counts, but in reality, even Duke families can’t order them around.

Because of the function, the castle is going to be busy in the upcoming days.

‘Yep, you heard that right. It was hard to swallow, but after witnessing it with my own eyes, I gave up arguing.’

So the discovery of Mana started 15 thousand years ago and that’s why they formed a new calendar. Although the world was still magical before the formation of the Mana calendar, it was very underdeveloped and they barely scratched the surface of magic. And by a year counted by days, it took 430 days to complete the span of one year.

I also noticed that a day in this world is longer compared to that on Earth. While on Earth it takes 24 hours for a day-night cycle, here it takes around 30 hours in this world and there are no months in the Mana calendar.

Apparently they divided the year by five different seasons and each season has its own days.

The shortest month/season was Spring, around 53 days and the longest was Summer (130 days) after that Winter with 102 Days followed by 81 days of Rainy season and 64 days of Autumn.

I was born in the Spring season so the weather around was windy and calming. While Spring was shortest, it also was most soothing.

‘‘Mom can I try magic”was the first complete sentence I spoke after obviously the two magical words ‘Mom and Dad’.

At first it was hard to speak because I could understand them but couldn’t communicate in their language, so after figuring out all the alphabets I somehow understood how to speak. Letters here were totally different from that on Earth.

After hearing my first sentence Mom laughed. When I asked her why she was laughing she answered “Magic is inherent in Kallos family, you will learn after you complete sensing your Mana.”

I was confused at first, how can you expect a child to sense something which he hadn’t even heard about?

But after a period of time, I realized something in my body is developing. I realized that when I concentrated enough there is this massive energy, it was so massive that it didn’t have any limits, I couldn’t even sense that for more than five seconds.

After I told my father and mother about it they said ‘‘what you sense is the magical energy of the universe’’ I was like WHAAAT how can you sense something of universe from a body made up of flesh?

Then my father continues ‘‘well it’s not the body which connects to the universe but it was our consciousness which connects and feels its portion of mana.”

So what I feel isn’t something in my body but in my consciousness which connects to the universal energy point.

"Some beings request to use magic energy some ask and some just take it because they can and this is why magicians have different tiers or classifications from 1-3 journeyman or apprentice magician from 4-7 they are skilled or court magician from 8-9 they are expert/royale magician. There are classifications above that but rather than power boost they get lifespan boost like a journeyman magician can live up to 150 years and skilled magician live 250 years and expert lives 500 years of life after that rather than gaining powers they live longer like a king rank which is above expert rank can live 100000 years with no problems and when you go higher number grown from millions to ten millions and so on."

I gasped from the information my father gave me it was like lump of very important things I learned. It was also more surprising to learn that here something called immortality really exists.

I asked curiously, “What is your rank, Father?”

“Mine? Hahaha, it’s not worth mentioning. I am just an Emperor rank magician.”

‘If this is not worth mentioning then what is…capturing the universe, I think?'

“What is emperor rank?you never mentioned it”

“Because you doesn’t need to know right now. You’re not even a journey man magician, Why bother asking beyond king rank?”

‘So it is beyond king rank, It means my father must be very old’

“Don’t even try to portary me as a old men, even in your thoughts. I am very young.”

I think it’s best to keep my mouth shut in this matter.

“So how do I do magic so I can reach journey man magician? When I asked mom she said I have to sense mana first.Now that I have sensed it, am I qualified to learn it?”

“Quite a curious fellow we have here, but the answer is no because your consciousness is not strong enough.you barely withstand 5 seconds, how can you even request something from it? Try harder and when you reach 25 Seconds come to me and I’ll teach you after then.”

“how many seconds you can withstand father?” I asked again

“Hmm me? Forever I think.”

Well, that was quite disappointing.

I never thought magic would exist anywhere since it is an absurd concept to make something out of thin air. As a student of physics, it was an absolute law: ‘energy cannot be created nor be destroyed.’

But somewhere, it seems like magic is breaking this law. Oh well, let’s think about it when I start doing magic on my own.

”Come in,” said the count.

“Sir, Count, we have an invitation from Marquis Kallos for their upcoming event,” the butler, who is assigned to act as the secretary, presented the letter to the count.

With a light touch from the count’s ring, the entire letter burst open, and all the contents of the letter were displayed like a hologram in front of the count’s eyes.

When the butler saw this, he couldn’t help but praise the creator of this system.

“Oh, he has one more thing to play with now.”

“It seems like we have to go on a trip again,” the count sighed after reading the entire content.

It is very difficult for him to go out to attend meetings or banquets since he has many things to do. Even though he has many officials with a great mind set, when it comes to regulation, it must go through inspection to ensure no errors are present.

Similar to count many other nobels and official received invitation and thus they also began preparing to leave their respective region.

The mansion where he is living is quite big. If you compare it to a similar area here on Earth, it is like his mansion has covered a mind-boggling area of 5 km. It is like a small city itself, but it is not enough to satisfy Rupel.

Also, for some reason, his father has prohibited him from visiting certain places. Not because they contain special secrets, but he is too fragile to visit those places himself, and his father also avoids taking him to certain places.

Currently, he is with his maid Nana, strolling around the magical beast garden.

Here, he has many friends, like in his previous world where some people like to domesticate certain types of animals like cats and dogs. Here, he also has many animals with him, and they are absolutely adorable.

NANA POV

“Oh, our young master has once again come here to play with these animals. So cute.”

“They are quite cute, don’t you agree, Nana?”

‘I don’t know who is cuter, a little boy with his tiny fingers petting animals way bigger than him or those whom he is petting.’

Seeing Rupel smiling and petting, she also felt quite comfortable.

When she remembers the older young master, when he was same age as him, he always starts throwing tantrums and getting annoyed with few words, it’s quite hard to believe they are of the same blood.

“I was thinking about young master since so much time has passed away from the moment you were born. After a few days, you’ll also attend the Nobel party,” Nana sighed after saying these words.

“Yes, days are passing like someone is blowing the clock to speed up time.” For him, he was growing at a very fast pace.

Well, here days are longer, but he didn’t feel that way. Time for him was pacing at a rapid pace.

He also noticed something weird; even though this world has seasons, there was little to no effect on him. No matter what the season was, he always felt comfortable—neither too cold nor too hot. It was so perfect that he seemed to forget about it. ‘Well, the wind here is quite nice.’

It’s been a few months after his talk with father about magic, and during these months, he has visited almost everywhere in the mansion.

The garden was his favourite place to spend time, partially because there are many trees around it and also because of magical beasts.

For him, this was the perfect place to hang out. After finding out that his son likes to play with magical beasts, his father brought him some more.

Some were adults, some were very young, but they were very obedient and seemed to understand him every time he called or asked for something.

They always knew what he needed, and heck, some could even talk. Well, it was not surprising since it is a magical world.

There are like 6 animals in the garden—2 big dogs, 1 rabbit, 3 big cats. Dogs here were very big; they were like 11ft in height, and cats were also of the same height.

Out of the 6 animals, 3 can talk, and they were 2 dogs and 1 cat.p

The two dogs’ names were Goel and Smeol, both siblings, and they looked very similar.

Cat’s name was Lani, and out of the three, she was the most talkative. From her, he also learned that none of the magical beasts here have any specific gender; they can become female or even male if they want. Also for the first time, I saw magic in action, and it was nothing like I expected. Honestly, I saw nothing but the aftermath it caused.

Lani told me that I wouldn’t be able to see magic until I become a tier 4 magician; before that, we can only feel it.

She explained that our consciousness is not strong enough to sense it with our sensors. It’s like blowing a leaf blower; you know how it affects the surroundings, but you can’t see it. During the phases of rank 1 to rank 4, we just adjust the intensity and potency of a specific spell.

I was still confused about how one could extend their lifespan when they can’t even use magic properly. I was eager to know more, she advised me to enjoy my childhood and not to rush, as tier 1 to 3 would be like kindergarten, and I would learn it naturally. Feeling rushed, I remembered my age is only 2 years.

“We should head back; Marquees is waiting for you, master,” Nana said to me.

I nodded in response. After that, Nana picked me up, and we both headed to the mansion where my mother was waiting for me.

Chapter 3 –system?...well this is new.

When I arrived at the table, Mother was already waiting for me.

“Good evening, Mother and Brother,” I greeted them after approaching.

Now, big brother has grown to be 7-8 years old if we compare it to children on Earth.

However, years here are longer, so he is now 4.5 years old (FOR READERS’ CONVENIENCE, I AM TAKING AGE AND TIMELINE IN TERMS OF YEARS).

“Oh, my baby Rupel, are you back? Come sit on Mama’s lap,” Rupel’s mother said lovingly.

Even though he is 2 years old, his mother likes to carry him around and sometimes tries to breastfeed him.

After several rejections from him, she decided not to feed him anymore, saying, “Our Mama’s boy has grown up.”

And after he was able to walk and speak properly, Mother starts to organize a meeting in the evening once in a while to discu

ss various topics, like what I want to eat and wear.

Surprisingly, attire and foods were very similar to that of Earth.

Even though I am slowly losing my past life memories, I can still remember some dishes that I used to like.

It is also because of my past life experience that I suggested some delicacies to our chefs, and they turned out great.

Whenever I tried to make or suggest something, they always listened closely and tried their best to execute it. It was also shocking that they never questioned me about how I know these things; even my mother didn’t ask me.

I thought I would discuss my past life with both mother and father, but I didn’t get any chance to do that.

“Maybe they are purposefully avoiding me,” I thought.

As always, my mother asked me about my daily life and how I was doing.

“I am bored and want to do something,” I said.

This left both my mother and brother laughing.

“Why are you bored, Rupel? When Vator was your age, all he did was make noises and create troubles all around the mansion.

But you always behave well and try to make something new,” my mother said with a surprised face.

When Vator heard that his mother mentioned his past, he stood up with a red face, saying, “Why do you always give him my example?” Once again, the whole room was laughing.

But I wanted to say, ‘because I’ve reincarnated,’ but I can’t.

Soon, the table got filled with various snacks, and after looking at all the pastries in front of me, I can’t resist.

‘Our mama boy will go under awakening in a few days, so don’t worry; you’ll be very busy after that,’ she said after stuffing a pastry into her mouth.

‘Oh yeah, I forgot about that.’ Sometime ago, my father sent me a letter saying, ‘after a few days, you will go awakening in an upcoming event, so be ready.’

After getting the letter, I was quite excited and nervous at the same time. Since judging from the name, it’ll be some kind of ability awakening, but I was also nervous since I didn’t know what kind of ability I would awaken.

“What kind of awakening is this, Mother?” I asked curiously, with big eyes and a cute face.

Seeing my face, Mother kissed me first, then she said, “How would I know?”

“Didn’t you go through awakening?” I said angrily.

“Hmm… I forgot about that.”

I gave up after hearing. I can’t ask maids since they are not allowed to talk about it.

The worst part is that my brother and I are going through it at the same time.

When I asked the reason for this, Mother said, “Well, it will not matter even if you awaken just a moment after you’re born since you can’t practice anything until you complete your 5th birthday.”

And I never get to know why this was.

“Look who is talking.” It was a quick response from his mother as she enters my room.

“I was dumbfounded after seeing my mother’s face. Honestly, I have no words to counter.

It was an instant regret. After all, he himself is a child.

‘Vator, Rupel, come here. All the preparations are done; we must go to your father.’ ‘Yes, mother,’ Vator said nervously.”

“But we are not ready yet. We are still naked mother”

Yes we both were naked. It wasn’t anything weird since we both have one piece of clothing covering our genitals.

“ No you don’t need to wear anything since this ceremony is done without any clothing”

‘ didn’t she said some time ago that she didn’t know anything about this, damnit I was fooled’

After that mother carried me but brother was walking on his own.

I must say, after seeing my brother’s face, it kind of reminded me of my exam result days.

After walking for some time, we reached a room where I wasn’t told to go alone, and I must take either my mother or father to go with me.

“No matter what, you must stick with me and don’t respond to anyone, no matter what," she said with a serious tone.

““Yes,””, we both said in unison.

After hearing that, I was also very nervous for the first time.

After that, she takes out a token and inserts it in the place of keys.

It was barren, to be exact. There were no trees, the sun was bright red, but there was no sky, no air—it was a lifeless planet.

I was genuinely scared; since there was no air, I thought I would suffocate, but it was a false alarm since I was functioning normally.

“Where are we, mother?” I said nervously.

“You’ll get all your answers in a moment,” she said with a smiley face.

After saying that word, she made a gesture with her hand, and we started levitating and moving at a fast speed simultaneously.

There was nothing to see, even after looking all around, so I just focused on where we were heading.

After some time, we reached a rather crowded place. I was very surprised after seeing that because the entirety of the place was barren, and I thought they couldn’t be native to this planet.

As we were passing through the crowd, I saw some of them calling me, and some of them were trying to meet us, but there was an invisible barrier that cut off both their movements and their voices.

I once again asked why, but the answer was the same.

After some time, I saw my father along with five other human-like bodies.

They had human-like bodies, but there were some obvious differences. Some of them were much taller and sturdier, some had big heads, some had tails, and so on.

However, their female counterparts were all normal humans.

It was a circular arrangement of chairs where they were seated, and there was a huge pool of some sort of liquid in the middle.

As I approached, there was a speaker continuously speaking on a stage-like structure. I couldn’t hear them because the speaker was inside that invisible barrier.

“There you go, now you’ll go to your father,” she put me down and told both of us. Then she sat down just opposite to my father’s seat.

We both proceeded to meet our father.

“Where are we, Father?” I asked with a nervous look.

Father looked at both of us and then said, “We are on a newly born plane.”

I still looked confused, but Father wasn’t finished yet, so I quietly waited for his next words.

“Every once in a while, we create a new plane to inhabit more people in it. It requires an enormous amount of energy, but not all energy gets converted into the plane itself. This energy is raw and only requires your thoughts to manifest it.”

“That sounds like, ‘I can make a gold finger for myself.’

“The crowd you saw outside are parents awaiting their children’s arrival after awakening”.

To conduct these awakenings, we need to create a space where this energy can gather and take different forms. It must not be in this plane; that’s why you’ll see a barrier separating them from interfering,” the father takes a pause before continuing.

“Before you go in,” as he takes out something from thin air and inserts it into both of our bodies. As soon as it enters my body, I hear a sound.

Author note-It was quite headache to write this part I have to change many times because I didn’t like it. It’s my first time to write a novel so it’s quite challenging to come up with new ideas and its consequences since I can’t fill anything with it. Anyway after this chapter new chapter might take some time since I have exams. I have storyline for next 4 chapters I just have to narrate it.
