"Okay, this class should be right... Oof!" as I start to fall, I feel a very strong grip around me.

Okay. So this is how my very first day at school started. My name is Luna. Throughout my life I was in and out of foster care. I was adopted when I was 12. I only had a few people I could real friends. Though I know that my parents loved me, they simply could not take care of us. Well, more about that later.

"Don't worry I've got you!" said a young male voice around my age. And as I slowly opened my eyes I saw a pair of the most gorgeous violet eyes. They were so mysterious. It was like they were hiding a seceret. As I was captivated by the lovely sight, I felt his strong arms lifting me up. And I came to reality finaly. ""I am so sorry for that"" we said in unison. Instinctively we laughed.

"Hi! I'm Luna." "Hi. I am Ruvel." as we greeted each other I noticed people looking our way whispering.

Classmate 1: "Look! It's the weirdo newbie and HIM!"

Classmate 2: "Why are they touching?"

Classmate 3: "I don't know."

 Once Ruvel heard this he let go of me, and handed me my schedule.

'Finally. I made it to the classroom.' I thought, as I sat down. "Good morning class. As some of you know, I am Mrs. Ray. Today we have 3 new students. Our first one is Amber. Amber, please stand, introduced yourself, and state some interesting things about yourself."

Amber was a tall girl with golden hair and amber eyes, although one eye was more red than the other.

Amber: "Hi. I'm Amber, I'm 15, I love sports and my family. Oh, and I have a new baby brother."

Mrs.Ray: "Alright, thank you Amber. Next up is Luna. Luna please stand."

'Why do I have to feel so nervous.' I thought to myself.

Luna: "Hi. I'm Luna. I'm 15, I love art, music, and anything creative. And I got some of my love for art from my uncle when I was little."

Mrs.Ray: "Thank you Luna. Last but not least is Ruvel. Ruvel please stand."

Ruvel: "Hey. I'm Ruvel, I'm 16, I love music and painting, and I am what I call sort of athletic."

Mrs.Ray: "Well since we're out of time, everyone get ready to switch classes."

'Ok 5 minutes left till time for lunch. Hmm... Where should I go for lunch?'

RIIIIIIINNNNNGGGGGG!!!!!!!! Finally the bell has rung. Class 3 is over. Once I was at my locker I saw something on it. "Huh? What's this, a note?" 'MEET ME AT THE PARK 4 LUNCHTIME AND DO NOT BE LATE!' Luna: "Huh. I wonder who this could possibly be from. Could it be Ruvel?"

'What should I do?' I thought. 'I guess it wouldn't hurt to go check it out. I wonder who it is?'

TMP, TMP, TMP, TMP, TMP. All I can hear right now is the sound of my boots. SWOOSH! "Huh, who's there?" THUMP! "You're here. Good." Said a mysterious voice. As I quickly turn around to see who sent me here, I hear them approaching me. "YOU?!" BAM! I get knocked out.

Luna: "UNG. My head hurts."

Once I woke up I found that I was in an unfamiliar place. Furthermore, I was tied up to a basement pole.

?: "You're awake now, I see."

Luna: "Why are you doing this? LET ME GO!"

?: "No. I need you to stay here because I need to run some errands, then I'll deal with you. Bye - bye."

Luna: "WAIT! DON'T LEAVE ME HERE!"

SLAM! 'And he's gone.' SIGH

TAP, TAP, TAP.

Luna:"Huh?"

As I looked around, I heard it again. TAP, TAP, TAP. Then I spotted Him at the basement window.

Luna: "RUVEL! What are you doing here?!"

CREAK. THUMP! Luckily he found a way to open the window and get in. Once he landed he ran over to me.

Ruvel: "Are you okay." He said in a hushed tone.

Luna: "Yeah. But what are you doing here?!"

Ruvel: "I'll explain later. for now we need to get out of here he'll be back soon."

Luna: "Okay." Hallelujah, I'm saved! Who knows what he was going to do.

As we ran back to school, thought 'Why would he risk his life to save someone he barely knows?' It was a mystery to me.

Once we saw the school we slowed down.

Now that we're back at school and safe, we can explain to each other.

Ruvel: "Who was that?"

Luna: "His name is Zane. He's an ex - friend of mine. We used to be best friends until one day he suddenly went insane. He even tried to kill me. So... there's that. Now why were you there?"

Ruvel: "Remember when we first ran into each other? After you left I realised that you dropped a flash drive. So, I had to wait until lunch to give it to you. Then I followed you to the park. That's when I saw him knock you out. So, I followed him there."

Luna: "Well am I thankful for that. Or else I could have been dead."

RRRIIIIIINNNNGGGGG!!!!!!! The bell signaling the end of lunch rang.

Luna: "Well thanks again. hopefully I will see more of you."

Ruvel: "Same."

Finally, the end of the school day.

I should be careful on my way home. As I was walking home, I carefully looked around at my surroundings.

Ruvel: "Hey! Wait up!"

Luna: "What are you doing here Ruvel?"

Ruvel: "I wanted to walk you home to be sure that you were safe."

Luna: "Oh. Thanks. I really appreciate that."

Ruvel: "No problem. That's what friends are for."

As we walked in silence, I thought about how he called us friends. That makes me happy. As we turned the corner to my house, I thought to myself He is so nice, why do people feel so strangely about him?
