In the highest floor of the Song family corporation tower, two women were arguing in front of the directors office.

One wearing office attire while the other in a casual white t-shirt and ripped jeans with a jean jacket on herself. It was very obvious that the first woman worked there whilst the other was probably a visitor.

Paying attention to the ladies, the other passing workers heard their conversation.

"Li Meiying you b!tch! what do you think you are doing back here. haven't you had enough messing with me?! You! because of you jingli didn't talk to me in the all of last night!!" Fang Hui-Fen roared at the other woman in rage. Li Meiying screamed back in retaliation. " So? what does that have to do with me? I only met him once and you're already pointing fingers at me. how exactly is it my fault when meet someone and then that person that I met ignore someone for ONE DAY! and it's my fault?!" "then what are you doing here then?" Fang Hui-Fen looked at the dazzling woman in front of her and she furrowed her brows.

It was extremely pissing for her to know her husband had been meeting this vixen last night and he came back in a bad mood. she could only blame her for it since she was the only person that could have influenced his emotions in such a way. darn it! what did she say to him?! even this morning he was still ignoring her!!

Just as Li Meiying was about to answer Fang Hui-Fen's question, they heard a voice that snapped both of their attentions to the direction of the sound.

Song jingli was walking close to them, every step he took seemed to carry power and an extremely cold air came along with him. He stood in front of and repeated his question. "I asked, what's going on?"

The both women hung their faces low, seemingly intimidated by him but then Li Meiying spoke up. "Brother jingli, it's not that big a deal actually. I came here to saw hello since you seemed in down spirits yesterday and was thinking of how to cheer you up but then jiejie Hui-Fen saw me and probably misunderstood my visit and then we argued a little. it's not that big a deal , I just hope you're better now." She spoke in a bashfully sweet voice although sounding wronged. Fang Hui-Fen frowned hearing her. She said jingli was probably in a bad mood since before he saw her so does that mean I misunderstood and his mood isn't because of her?

Although saying so in her head, Hui-Fen wasn't convinced even by herself as she felt that Li Meiying was planning something.

Song jingli hummed after hearing Meiying said then he looked at Hui-Fen. he asked "Is what she said true?" Fang Hui-Fen rose her head and looked her husband dead in the eye. His face bore traces of exhaustion and tiredness, something his usually sunny appearance lacked.

Looking at her husband so tired made her heart hurt and she had even regretted confronting Li Meiying. She traced her eyes back to Li Meiying and back at Song jingli then nodded her head.

Song jingli sighed as he waved to the watching workers and asked "do you have anything to do in front of my office?" The watching workers immediately scurried away at the remainder from their boss.

Song jingli walked to Fang Hui-Fen and patted her head. "Hui-Fen, can we talk inside the office? it's not very appropriate standing here." Hui-Fen bit her lips in annoyance seemingly not wanting to listen at that moment'. Song jingli smiled her as her coaxed her. "Laopo, don't worry all that much. I was worrying yesterday about a particular project we're aiming to get and it has nothing to do with me meeting her, okay?" Of course, he knew what his wife was worrying about. Being married for three years, he knew his wife the most.

Fang Hui-Fen calmed after hearing what he said. So it wasn't because of the vixen that he ignored her all night, he was just stressed about something.

Song jingli led her into the office while coaxing her.

Li Meiying was about to join them and go into the office but she was stopped at the door. "Li Meiying, I understand and appreciate your concern for me but right now I'll be talking with my wife in there. Thanks for taking care of me but my wife is here now so it's not all that necessary anymore. you don't mind leaving right?" Song jingli spoke with a smile on his face although practically asking her to leave.

His words meant although he was thanking her for caring, his business with his wife was none of her business and she shouldn't interfere with his marital property.

Fang Hui-Fen broke into a smile hearing him. Alas, he hasn't being charmed by that witch yet. I still need to keep my guard up though. I don't know what she'll be planning next.

Li Meiying's expression darkened a little but she still smiled and said "Sure, hope you forgive my interruption jiejie!" Then she turned and left. Song jingli also turned and went into the office leaving the gossipy workers behind.

"Who do you think that woman was?"

"En, who knows? she's probably someone aiming for the president."

"Well it's gonna be some drama certainly, she is quite pretty"

"it doesn't matter whether she's pretty or not, our president is a righteous man. he wouldn't be seduced by some woman."

"Whether the president is righteous or not doesn't matter even. have you ever seen a woman ever last next to the president? M.s Fang Hui-Fen chases all of them away before they even touch his hair! haha!"

Inside of the office

Fang Hui-Fen was sitting in the lounge chair and it looked like she was sulking. Song jingli sighed and sat next to her then brought her close to himself patting her hair. he knew she liked that particular gesture of his. they cuddled in eachother's embrace for a while quietly before Fang Hui-Fen broke the silence. "I'm sorry" "huh? for what?" Song jingli asked with a confused expression. Fang Hui-Fen looked down guiltily and Song jingli seemingly grasped something. He chuckled as he hugged her again. "Laopo, don't worry anymore okay? I understand what you're worried about but it's has been nothing like that since the first day I resaw her. if you don't like it I won't meet up with her again ever. okay?" he coaxed slowly. Fang Hui-Fen smiled as she snuggled herself into his chest completely missing the dark glint that appeared in his eyes for the slightest second.

I wished I could do as I say and want but unfortunately, my heart seems to go against me!

He was a married man so he shouldn't harbor such thoughts. Meeting with Li Meiying again made his feelings like a deflated balloon. he thought they were gone and would never resurface but after he met with her again, he proved himself wrong.

His heart still beat for that woman!

No matter how long or how far they were the past years, his heart still moved at the sight of her. but it doesn't matter anymore, he was married and he enjoyed his married life. His wife loves him and his family was a treasure and he wouldn't trade that for any one or anything! After saying those words to himself, he calmed down significantly.

After a few minutes of cuddling on the couch, Fang Hui-Fen stood up to go to her office and do some work. She kissed him goodbye and left his office to hers.

After all the day's work, Fang Hui-Fen went down the elevator to the underground parking lot and she met with someone right next to her car. She ignored the feminine figure standing next to her car but the person seemed relentless as she followed behind her with a pained expression on her face. Li Meiying walked behind her saying "Jiejie, please forgive me. I really didn't mean to annoy you earlier. if you wish I'll never show up here ever again, just forgive me?"

Fang Hui-Fen sharply turned and glared at the woman in front of her. What exactly was she up to?! Wouldn't show her face here ever again? what was she doing here now?!

Fang Hui-Fen frowned not knowing what the other woman was up to but she soon figured out as she saw Song jingli at the side of her eyes. I believe this witch came here to appear like a gentle little nice girl apologizing to me, eh? well two can play that game.

Fang Hui-Fen smiled sweetly at Li Meiying catching her off guard. "Well junior sister, if you really are sorry I can't keep been angry right? don't worry, I forgive you also I'm sorry for my impulsivity earlier that led to this. trust me I was just having a bad day. forgive me alright?"

Li Meiying was surprised but kept her cool as she beamed happily at Fang Hui-Fen and it looked like she would cry of happiness the next second. "Oh thank you big sister! I promise, never will I interrupt your work again and visit for no reason" hmm, if only you keep your promise. Fang Hui-Fen thought with the hypocritical smile on her face.

During their really hypocritical exchange, Song jingli walked to them and stood in front of the car. Li Meiying was the first to apparently notice him and beamed. With a beautiful smile on her face she said "Big brother Jingli, did you know that Sister has already forgiving me for crashing earlier and even said she was having a bad day and didn't mean any of her words meaning were friends again!!" bîtch who's friends with you?!

Song jingli smiled at the seemingly little girl in front of him and he felt proud of his wife. He walked up to her and put his hands on her hair, gently patting her head as he said to her "Hui-Fen, do you want to go home together? I'll ask Wang Boqin to pick up your car later, hm?" Wang Boqin was their personal driver. Fang Hui-Fen revealed a genuine smile as she said "Bro jingli, don't bother much. I actually have an appointment in about forty minutes time from now so I can't be able to follow you home so don't wait for me." Li Meiying looked at the loving couple in front of herself and she could feel her gums hurting from grinding on her teeth too hard.

Although having a smile plastered on her face, no one, other than Fang Hui-Fen, could see her nails digging deep into her skin. She acted as if she had just recalled something and said "big sister, if I am correct you are going to this dinner with Mu Xun, no?" Fang Hui-Fen frowned a little. although not knowing what the other lady was up to she answered honestly, "yes, the company gave this arrangement because he is very familiar with the design and layout of the project so he should be coming." Song jingli also nodded to affirm her words.

Li Meiying then put on a worried expression on her face as she said, "Sister, I actually don't think I should be saying this but I don't think it's safe you been alone with him. I heard once that he has taken quite a liking to you and he might try seducing you or something. Considering your status as a married woman, don't you think it would be better to stay far away from certain admirers?" Before Fang Hui-Fen was to speak, Song jingli immediately rejected her claim. "I don't think it's possible for Mu Xun to like Fang Hui-Fen, it's just not possible." "But you never know, I'm just looking out for both of you." Li Meiying repeated with a worried tone. Song jingli shook his head as he said "Don't worry, I personally know Mu Xun, he already has a woman in mind and he knows about me and Hui-Fen's martial status."

"oh" Li Meiying looked sceptical. Fang Hui-Fen finally spoke up. "Meiying, thanks for your concern but as you've heard, Song jingli personally knows this person so there's no worries but if you keep worrying, I'll just have to keep my guard up just in case." "That's a great idea, sis." Li Meiying said in a spiteful tone. Song jingli, who was oblivious to their hateful glares to eachother, bid Li Meiying farewell and kissed Fang Hui-Fen goodbye before leaving in his car.

Seeing the red sports car leave the underground parking lot, the two women finally removed their hypocritical masks as they viciously glared at eachother.

"Cut the crap, what do you want now?"

"Cut the crap, what do you want now?" The lady in the lime coloured office attire said with distain.

Li Meiying let the smile on her face drop as she smirked disdainfully at Fang Hui-Fen. Looking at the direction the car just went, her eyes portrayed a ice cellar amount of coldness as she squinted and the woman opposite herself. "oh nothing..." she answered as she came closer to Fang Hui-Fen then took her left hand and kissed the ring in her finger. Fang Hui-Fen hastily shook her hand away from Li Meiying with a disgusted look on her face. Li Meiying smiled and said "Nothing..... but to wear that ring on your finger." Then she left not leaving any time for Fang Hui-Fen to speak.

As expected, Fang Hui-Fen's expression was as dark as coal. She inhaled, repeatedly telling herself that Li Meiying was just a jealous bark no bite ***** but she couldn't help feeling scared. Her phone rang and she saw a message from Mu Xun reminding her to come to the meeting appointment. Fang Hui-Fen shook her head removing all unimportant thoughts as she went into work mode.

At jade spring palace

Inside of the seventh villa of jade spring palace, a young woman could be seen in front of a full length body mirror. The woman had beautiful soft brown hair, with ruby like red lips and a deep red body hugging dress. While women would more often goes for soft sunshine colours when trying to showcase their youthful side to them, wearing red was a colour that went more with passion and seduction.

The woman in front of the mirror had a small petite face with soft Korean features that shone with her eyes exuding her charm as a typical young Korean woman. She smiled at her reflection that would steal the breath away from any man.

As she was admiring herself, she heard a light door bell ring and she knew it was time for action. She put on an innocent expression as she went and opened the door.

As soon as the door was opened, Song jingli walked into the apartment with a cold expression on his face. "what's this about?" He asked with a frosty voice. Li Meiying shuddered at his voice and tears welled up in her eyes. "I'm sorry bro Song but that was the only thing I could say to be able to meet up with you." She inched closer to Song jingli with a pitiful expression. Under her little façade, she was gritting her teeth in annoyance. To think he cares about her that much. Song jingli's frown softened looking at her but his voice was still hoarse.

"Now that I'm here, what do you want?" Song jingli asked with clear expiration in his voice. Li Meiying bit her lips and balled up her fists and she said with a slightly cracked voice "Brother Su, are you sure you don't hate me? is it such a bad thing to meet up with you. For a chat maybe?" She looked up to Song jingli's eyes, looking especially pitiful. Song jingli looked away trying to avoid looking at her sparkling eyes. He distanced himself from her as he said "Li Meiying, we really shouldn't be meeting up like this." "Why? it's not like we're doing anything odd. I already can't be with you romantically but why can't we be friends either? it really not fair...." Li Meiying said while sobbing softly. Song jingli suddenly felt the urge to want to hug and comfort her but his rationality kept him. He sighed as he said "Miss Li, please for the sake of rationale and trust can you please stop contacting me? I really don't want to be involved in an ambiguous relationship with you that would in anyway cause any harm to my marriage. My wife is already having doubts about our relationship and any more unnecessary meet-ups would severely put a toll on my relationship. can you please understand?"

Song jingli was trying very hard to get Li Meiying to understand his stance but the latter just kept sobbing. Soon enough, she rose her head and wiped her tears. she smiled at Song jingli sadly before she said "Brother Su, since it has already come to you thinking I would want to ruin your marriage just by wanting to be friends with you, will you say you've ever trusted me?" Song jingli felt at a loss. he thought he had finally got to her but she just gave him a question. he couldn't answer her question at all. Of course he trusted her, but he didn't trust himself to be able to stay focused on his married life if they were too close.

Seeing Song jingli's silence, Li Meiying but her lips in an aggrieved manner but then said."Bro jingli, if we can't be at least friends anymore, can you please stay a little longer and have a drink with me?" Song jingli was about to refuse but he heard her speak again "... unless, you just can't wait to break off all ties with me." She sounded aggrieved as her tears welled up again. Song jingli sighed as he sat down on the sofa on front of him. "Just some tea, I'm leaving after." Li Meiying smiled happily as she made her way to the kitchen. On the way, Song jingli didn't notice the dark look that crossed her eyes.
