everything was engulfed in darkness. Momentary light was emitting due to lightening and the whole surrounding was filled with the roars of thunders. suddenly there were sounds of footsteps of someone running. Blood oozing out of her wounds were enough to stain the whole path in red. exhausted from all the injuries, she suddenly trips on a rock, making her fall right at the end of a cliff. A giant strike of lightening and thunder revealed her covered with cuts and bruises all over. she was panicking and feeling helpless as she was being chased by something that could kill her in any moment.

"I shouldn't have left on the journey, if I had known that I might end up dying during it..."

when she hears the roar of that thing nearing her, she gets startled and slips her foot off the cliff. while taking a downfall, her whole life flashed in front of her eyes.

How would one feel when one's betrayed by its own deity...The deity to whom she has worshiped and sacrificed for her whole life.... Andin return of that dedication, her family gets killed, her friends and everyonewho mattered to her. She thought "how did I end up like this??? Am I gonna die? really hate you... I REALLY HATE YOU LORD ATHANASIA"

11 years prior to the tragedy, was the first time when amber met her current guardians. She was 9 years old when she met an accident that took away her parents, living her as the sole survivor. Her current guardians - Jane and Robert Amberleigh were some distant relatives of her parent who took her in their custody. Weird isn't it? you always get help from where you haven't ever thought of.Dionisia was too shocked from the accident, that left her with a broken memory of past, where she wasn't able to remember her life before the accident. Jane and Robert adopted Dionisia as their own daughter and took her to where they were living - the Delphine city, capital of declan(the land of humans). It was the fall season.....when for the first time she got her new home. It was in the outskirts of delphine city. It took her a while to adapt with the new surroundings.

Both of them were really affectionate, especially aunt jane. She was like a friendto her. Gradually she became accustomed living with them, and came to know aboutsome cult they were in. As a child she wasn't provided with much details, but it had to do something with goddess athanasia. It's a name that will be frequently used after this, so remember it well. She is the reason that dionisia will be losing everything...or so what she believed. From the very moment she learned about athanasia, she developed a keen intrest in her. According to her aunt Jane, her parents were also devotees of goddess athanasia, and her name was given with resonance to the goddess's name.

"you know dionisia, we have this holy prayer written by our 1st cult leader to please the goddess. when you will turn 14, you'll have your official debut in our cult society and then you can recite it. Till then, you can listen me singing to it - "Created as the most divine creation by god not from any mortal's womb, but from the nature itself . . . with no specific origin...Being timeless, Bondless, an eternal lambent light on the despairs of weak . . . a miracle for the sole purpose of cleansing the human wounds. . .our benefactress. . .o goddess. . .bless us with your divine blessings. . .hail athanasia. . .the cosmic goddess!! "

" isn't it embarassing to sing this aunt? just listening to it makes me cringe like crazy"

jane chuckled, "indeed it is. But it ha sbeen our long held traditional prayer, i can't change it."

Her own words may have shocked her. Her smile dissapeared the very next moment. she said in a very grave tone" dionisia. . .no. . .Amber, never mention any of your doubt in front of your uncle. He's a good man, but you see he's a bit over-diligent when it comes to this cult.He strongly discourages any questions towards any customs. . .obviously he doesn't mean any harm though". Her quivering voice was even obvious to a nine years old, about how nervous she was regarding uncle's sedulousness towards the cult. It was Robert Amberleigh's ancestors who started the cult for the purpose of serving the cosmic goddess. and serving meant literally every possible way they were able to do so. there was a time when this cult used to perform a lot of dark rituals and sacrifices, which is why they earned a reputation throughout the declan about being wicked and spiteful. though most of those practices were banned later, but the conception of people regarding this cult never changed. though this cult was named as Astri (meaning divine and beautiful) cult, people called them velves from vixen tower (the tower where the cult had it's headquarters).

"Amber, dear remember to pay a visit to prayer hall today." said Jane when she saw amber running out of her room in a hurry. "Jane it's getting late, can I skip that today" One could clearly hear her huffing like crazy. "That won't do, you're going to attend academy from today right? You need to visit the hall". "please . . .no. . ." begged amber, but a piercing glare from Jane was enough to make her obey. Amber was already on a tight schedule but it felt way better to not let the sleeping lion wake up and create ruckus. And this is how Amberleigh house appears to be like . . . Jane and Robert Amberleigh with their adopted daughter Dionisia. Though Amber isn't fond of this cult thing, she is deliberately  dragged in this by her foster guardian. Yes. . . this whole 'hall' thing is the prayer hall of the Astri cult. Though Amber is least interested in all of these, just for her aunt and uncle she attends everything related to cult. 

It has been 10 years since she was taken in by Jane and Robert, after she met the accident. And for the first time she'll be leaving the Vixen tower. Until now she was home tutored. But when she showed interest in learning magic and being a part of an ordinary school curriculum, she was permitted to take entrance in Yophiel Academy of Delphine. 

 It took more half an hour to reach the yophiel academy. Though both Vixen Tower and the academy are in outskirts, they are in complete opposite direction. It takes nearly 6 hours by foot, 2 hours in a carriage and 40 minutes in a magic-induced carriage. 

Amber 'really this is going to be the most exciting moment of my life. Never thought that I would be able to leave the tower in my life. I have to make sure to get enrolled in here, I have to make it my way. . .I can do it...ahh...I can do it right?"

Standing at the huge entrance gates of Yophiel, amber was conversing with herself to gain some self-motivation. She decided to not be nervous and just walk straight through the gates. Entrance gates with the emblem of institution carved on them, were tall enough to let a jumbo elephant run through them. The whole boundary has a supreme level protective spell that can only be dispel by the higher authorities. This level of security was obvious for a school that has a reputation throughout the continent to be the best. And our dear protagonist will be appearing the entrance exam that will be conducted today. Let's see the what events would unfold in here. . .(～￣▽￣)～

Getting through the gates of Yophiel, Amber witnessed the path connecting the academic building and the gates. It was huge. Both the sides of the path had giant sculptures of the eleven guardian protector beasts of Yophiel. It was really mysterious that even though people knew about them, were not able to spell out these beasts' names in a flow. No matter how talented anyone was, even the Head master of Yophiel would fail to do so. There's a chronicle that these sacred beasts provide protection, and during the time of grave danger one can spell them in chronological order when grave danger would befall on this place.

Amber knew about these beasts a bit, because her uncle taught her that these beasts were given to this place by athanasia. The founding members of this academy had something to do with her, which is a mystery to everyone. What was the relation of founding members with Athanasia. . .why are the beasts still here. . .no one knows
