A painful scream echoed in a lifeless forest which was enough to wrench anyone's heart.
A man was crying miserably and begging for his life. Horror can be seen through his eyes which were terrified to see the girl standing in front of him with devilish smirk who was holding a rod dripping with blood.
Suddenly a girl flinched and came out of her world when her friend shaked her by holding her shoulders.

Her friend gestured her to let go her mouth and signalled her to speak.

She said while making puppy face which made Prathvi chuckle.
She gave her dairy to Ashwini in which she wrote the new chapter
of her novel after reading it Ashwini was thrilled.

Why did the girl kill that man so cruelly? It's so terrifying. She's so cruel! Humanity is dying day by day just because of people like her.
Ashwini was really mad. Prathvi got serious and her expression changed.

That's the problem of people, they judge everyone without knowing reason and story behind everything they did.

Calm down girl!! It's just it seems so real and terrifying.
Prathvi
Who knows, it might be a true incident.
Ashwini's eyes widened with shock and she looked at Prathvi with horror.
Prathvi giggled and put her hand over Ashwini's shoulder and pull her closer.

Ashwini
Your joke are terror strickening just like your novels. Sometimes you scared the hell out of me.
She said while pushing Prathvi lightly

Come on Ashu! Don't be like this. Wait a min!! Something isn't right.... Oh Lord!! Break time is already over. Let's go or professor gonna make us stand outside the classroom as always.
Both ran toward their classroom, when they reached there they froze. Professor was already in there and has started teaching. Both of them look at each other's face and started to walk towards the corner. Professor saw them walking away, he raised his one eyebrow and asked them

Why can't you both come in time instead of standing outside the classroom as a punishment?

They said while smiling innocently and everyone started laughing. Professor got mad and shouted on them.
Professor
Everyone be quite and you too go back to your respective seats.
Both sat on their seats beside each other. Ashwini was lost in her thoughts so Prathvi asked

Ummm.... Nothing much, it's just love reading your novels but sometimes I think if people really start killing each other without mercy won't this be the end of Humanity........ No one can this cruel to kill someone so horribly right?
Prathvi
Humanity died very long ago. People just pretend to be nice and helping, you can't even tell what kind of devil they are. No one can identify how evil one's soul and mind can be...
She said all this dryly without any single hint of emotions, her eyes were showing emptiness and hatred. Ashwini noticed it and found it quite weird but she got used to it after all they are friends since first year of their college and now both are in second year, to avoid this weird feeling Ashwini decided to change the topic.
Ashwini
UHM- Don't you think that guy is hot?
Prathvi
I don't care about such people, pretty face dumb heads.
Both of them chuckled and then they heard bang on the table. Professor was looking at them furiously.
Professor
YOU TWO!!!! FIRST YOU BOTH CAME LATE AND NOW YOU AIN'T EVEN PAYING ATTENTION TO WHAT I'M TEACHING. GET OUT OF MY CLASS NOW AND STAND THERE.
Both stood up and went outside the classroom while hanging their heads low and glaring at each other as if they were blaming each other that it's your fault that we've to stand outside.
Professor mumbled those brats food can't digest if they both don't have to stand outside.
Even after standing outside both were still talking.

Thank goodness, your novels are fictional. I can't even imagine them being real incidents.
Prathvi
Now stop talking about my novels.
Ashwini pouted and Prathvi shaked her head helplessly.
After 2 hours they went back to their hostel after attending remaining lectures.
Prathvi opened the door of her room and flinched when she saw what's there inside of her room.

Prathvi screamed when she saw the condition of her room. Ashwini came there running and saw Prithvi shivering and crying. She went near her and hugged her immediately.
Ashwini
What happened Prathvi? Why did you scream? Did you get hurt? Are you alright?
She still has not seen inside Prathvi's room as she was only concentrated on Prathvi who wasn't even able to speak and sweating cuz of fear, she shaked her head signalling that she wasn't hurt and then she pointed inside her room. What Ashwini saw shocked her to the core.
Before she could say anything others started to came out of their rooms and gathered there. Everyone was shocked as well as scared.
There were blood splattered on the floor along with a bat covered in blood
Some of them ran towards hostel cabin to inform the wardon. Wardon came there hurriedly. She told everyone to back to their respective rooms. What she saw shook her inside and out as no one dare to come inside girls' hostel. Even security is very tight and strict which made wardon worried but she was relieved too as everyone was safe and fine. She patted Prathvi's head reassuring her that everything is fine and she needs not worry about anything.
Wardon
Ashwini take Prathvi in the cabin and be with her ok. I'm calling police now so that they'll investigate who did such horrible thing and if it's a prank then that person gonna be suspended.
Ashwini nodded and then both of them went to cabin.
Wardon went to find security guards, to inform them everything and call police.
Soon police officer arrived there.
They check the room and then questioned evryone whatever they've saw and know things related to Prathvi's room.
They got nothing after interrogation.
Senior officer
Where is that girl who lives in this room?
He questioned while looking at the wardon.
Wardon
She is in the cabin.
Senior officer
Since she is the one who saw it first and also it's her room, we need to interrogate her to find the clues.
Wardon nodded her head and started to lead the way to the cabin. They both went inside the cabin and saw Prathvi sobbing lightly while resting her head on the shoulder of Ashwini who was patting her.
Wardon
Ashwini, you go and bring water for Prathvi.
Ashwini made Prathvi sit straight and went back to her room to bring water. Wardon asked Prathvi to tell everything she saw in her room to officer. Officer told wardon to wait outside the cabin while he's questioning Prathvi. Wardon left and stood outside the cabin.
Senior officer
Take a deep breathe and telling me everything you saw earlier, you don't need to be afraid of anyone.
Prathvi felt little better and she told officer everything from her coming back from University to hostel and how she got scared when she saw the blood everywhere.
