What Am I?

That is the question I ask myself. Doctors said that I had amnesia, that's why I can't remember anything.

Someone told me they were my mother, and my name was Lu Jixuan. She introduced herself as Jiang Shiqing, and told me that we would go back home in a week.

Makes sense, because I overheard them saying I needed to stay at the hospital for further observation. That's the only thing I can remember during their conversation.

There were two nurses taking care of me, I heard them saying that the kid right next to my ward was from a wealthy family. And they saw that the kid's elder brother was handsome and wanted to try and pursue him. It was a meaningless conversation.

During that week when I stayed at the hospital, I snuck out of my ward. And tried to leave the hospital as I was dying of boredom. When I left the hospital, I saw a playground and decided to sit and wait there.

A boy was also there alone, I talked to him. We had an insightful conversation about life and fate. The nurse who was taking care of me, found me and dragged me to my ward. I still remember his dull expression, it was exactly the same as mine.

When I think about it again, his face was cold yet handsome. His appearance was quite ethereal, he has a certain charm like the moon. So near yet so far.

When we got back to my ward the nurse scolded me for running off and making her so worried. I stayed in the ward for the rest of the day.

The next day, I looked at the window to see the birds chirping and flying around. The leaves swaying on the tree. I saw the boy again, he was outside the ward next to me. With the same dull expression, I went out of my ward and greeted him.

This time we told each other our names, and we chatted a lot. Even though I lost my memories, I seem to feel a connection between us. It was as if we knew each other, even though we didn't. Judging from his expression, we weren't familiar with each other.

Then his elder brother came, I immediately left after I said my goodbyes.

Jixuan already left, it's quite boring without him. No one in my family is interested in this topic, compared to him. I should probably do my assignments while waiting for mom and dad.

Cheng Hongxin took a peek on what was inside the luxurious looking paper bag, and saw it was the limited edition Elysían perfume.

Then her mother and father appeared, they talked about important projects and which ones were worth investing in.

One of the projects were about a variety show, where the public will vote random high school students (around 300 students). And once there are already 100 students, the selected students will have to prove themselves that the voters wouldn't regret voting them. And the public would go through a voting system. The producers will choose the Top 5 students, and they will receive a guaranteed admission to any of the top universities.

"Lu Jixuan, your mother is here."

The attending nurse said and then the door opened, Jiang Shiqing entered. When Lu Jixuan looked at her. She seemed to have something to say, I wonder what she has to say...

Jiang Shiqing seemed to notice Lu Jixuan's questioning gaze. Therefore, she hurriedly explained that the doctors allowed him to get discharged early.

After explaining to Lu Jixuan, she hurriedly dragged him to the car. And told him that they need to go home immediately, as his father had something to say.

"Now that you're here, Father is asking us to go back to the old house."

It's quite vague and difficult to understand it without proper context, It's probably like that so the business competitors' spies won't understand a thing.

Those people might be my relatives, I should try to approach them. Maybe I could find out more about my family situation.

As I was approaching the room before I entered, I heard someone talking.

So we're going to get kicked out of the family, no wonder they seemed so tense. I should wait for a while before entering, otherwise it's definitely going to be awkward.

I've been waiting for 3 minutes now. I should probably enter the room now. Once I entered the room, I saw all of my cousins. In total, I have 6 cousins.

I just greeted all of them, now they dumped their little siblings onto me. They were very clingy to me, it was quite annoying but I can't say that I didn't like it either.

The more obedient ones were Lu Shixue and Xin Chengzhi. Then a servant said that my mother called me. I left, then I saw my mother. She was disappointed, and my father was angry but managed he control it.

Once we went home, we immediately packed up our bags, while packing up I saw my diary, well my old-self's diary. I planned to read once we finished packing. All that my mother told me was that we were moving to a new house.

The house we moved in was a shabby apartment. It's...disgusting, I can see cobwebs on the walls and the room has an unpleasant smell. It's quite old too.

My parents seem to notice it too, then my father spoke and said that the apartment will be renovated.'

The apartment has 3 rooms, one of the 3 rooms is a master bedroom. The rest are ordinary bedrooms, then my mother said that I could choose one of the two rooms. The first room I entered had a decently large window, and the other one had a balcony. I chose the room with a balcony, after choosing my room. I looked around the apartment, I noticed that the living room is bigger than the dining area. Then I went back my room to read my old-self's diary.

I started to read from the first page, it said that my mother was infertile from the hospital reports. After that "I" started to notice that my father is acting weird, then the other pages were quite useless in terms of gathering information. But one of the pages that stuck to me the most was that "I" overheard a conversation my father's subordinate between my uncle about business related matters, but it was too vague. Then I read a page that was focused on the family situation, turns out my grandparents hate my father's guts and have been trying to cut him off since he got married.

After that, I went out of my room and told my mother that I was going outside. Once I went out of the apartment, I wandered aimlessly to the mall. Then I saw a watch, the dial was embedded with 0.5-carat diamonds on the numbers 12, 3, 6 and 9 and the color reminded me of obsidian. As I was going to walk back, I saw Mo Shenyu going into the store. The color of his eyes were like obsidian, an endless dark void.

I saw Jixuan again, and he was staring at that watch. Maybe I should gift that to him, when I entered the store. I immediately asked about the watch, it was just 3.5 million yuan. How cheap, I bought it and gave it Jixuan. He refused at first, but he reluctantly accepted it. We chatted for a while. And seeing that the driver was about to arrive, I offered him a ride but he refused. What a shame.

Lu Jixuan walked back home, his mother looked angry and frustrated. He silently went back to his room, as when he was going to go to the bathroom. He changed his mind, because of the dirty bathroom. He hoped that the remodelers will come early and finish renovating the apartment. So he just changed his clothes and went to bed.
