That was my beautiful name before coming to this world.And now I'm Princian Merliah Von Artacti. The main character of my unfinished novel called " A Mermaids Cry".How? Well let me explain to you what happen.

I was currently writing my new story when I accidentally stambled into my old shelf filled with my old books. There I saw a nostagilic book cover. It was a mermaid's tail with 13 swords encircled on it. Without second toughts I opened it and started to read.

"The Princess turned 18?"

That's the last part. Ah, I remembered. This book is own of my unfinished books that I forgot to complete. Many fans of mine are disappointed when they heared I'm not going to finish this book. Well at that time unfortunate things happen so I decided to stop writing at a mean time.

*ring ring

I quickly get my phone assumed that it was my boyfriend, but its just my noisy editor this time. Tsk. I answered it.

"Hell-"

"MISS WOODS!! ITS ABOUT TIME TO PAST THE OTHER CHAPTERS! YOU SHOULD-"

I immediately looked at the clock. Crap, just one hour left to finish that 10 chapters. Ugh, it's already four days without sleeping and eating a proper meal. Without further complaining I sat there completely ignoring to eat and sleep.

That's how my life ended. I dramatically died because of overfatigue and hungerness. What bothering me now is how did I ended up being the main lead of my unfinished story?! Is this a curse planted to me because I didn't finish it? Ugh!

*knock knock

"It's Marie, your highness." Oh, my personal mermaid is here.

"Come in"

That right I forgot to tell you that I'm a mermaid. Well infact a princess.

" His majesty requested your presense, Princess" Said Marie.

"Ohh okay. Can you help me prepare the pearls?" I smiled.

"Okay, my lady."

So if humans have a dress, in Artacti pearls are used as a decorations for our tails.

" I really love your golden tail,Princess. It looks like a sunset from above" Marie said.

"Thanks Marie, your tail is beautiful too." She smiled.

Well theres a basic role for verifying the status and class of a mermaid here. Golden Tails with Brown hairs that has different color highlights are from the royal blood. Violet Tails with silver hair are from the dukedom and marquisdom. Orange tails with pink hair are from countdom and barondom, just like Marie. Lastly, the green tails with red hair are from the commoner blood.

Maids in royal merpalace are mostly from countdom and barondom. Our merknights are mostly from dukedom and marquisdom. While I'm in my train of toughts, I realized that I was already infront of my fathers door.

I signaled to the merknigt to annouce my presense.

"Princess Princian has arrived."

The doors opened and there I saw my lovely parents smiling at me while holding my little brother and beside them are my other older brothers.

"Greetings, Father and Mother. Also to you Brother Kim and Brother Shun."

"Come join us, my dear liah." Father smiled.

How nice. In my past life, I didn't have a family who loved me dearly.

"Sis, tomorrow is your big day. How about going to stroll in the human realm?" My brother Shun asked.

"Hmm. Not a bad idea but if its alright with mother and father" I smiled.

With a same trace of smile we both faced our parents wearing a pleading face. We know that our parents can't resist if we did this kind of face.

Before father could answer, a loud noise was heard outside the palace. The merknights quickly rushed to protect us. I know this part, it is where all of the royal family was slained except for me and my brother Kim.

I quickly told the merknight to tie Brorher Kim this instant. This is where the aristocrat faction deemed a war before as and their spy is no other than my brother Kim. Well I wrote this story so I know why did that. I mentally laughed and look at him. Owoah look at him glaring at me like I was not his sister a minute a go. Tsk.

"What?! Get your filthy hands of me!" Shouted Brother Kim.

I looked at father and mother and said.

"He's the spy that you are looking for father!"

Shoock was seen all over thier faces.

"W-what are you talking about Princian?! Father don't believe at her!" He shouted.

"What are you saying, Merliah?" Father asked with his kingly face.

"Ehem let me explain, Father. Brother Kim betrayed you, the royal family to be the crown prince.! He sided with the opposing faction to make that come true because we all know that little brother Cabel will be the one who will inherit the throne."

After I said that, Brother Kim bursted and kneeled down. I signaled the merknight to put some water shield around him.

"I'm s-sorry f-fath-your majesty!" He said while nearing his limit.

Father just looked at him with pity and walks to the door saying.

"I can't believe you did that, thinking that I will just slipped you away. Bring him to the deepest trench of the kingdom, looked him up and place 20 guards around him. Brother Kim was shouting while begging for father.

The next day. It was peacefull but I'm worried my 18th birthday in the book means the end of the royal merline. Even if I stoped my brother from betraying us yesterday it doesn't mean that the opposing faction will just stop. I'm here in my room preparing for my birthday banquet later.

"Marie, can you place the pearls in the table and change them into red pearls?" I asked Marie.

"Ofcourse Princess." She bowed and quickly do the task I gave her.

"Henga, please call James and Harden here." I ordered my another maid to call my personal merknights.

Moments later.....

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!Princess Liah!" They shouted. Ugh, here comes my noisiest friends. Before saying anything, I quickly closed their mouths by using my magic. I looked at Marie and signaled her to lock the doors and close the curtains.

"Ugh..how many times do I have to tell you two don't shout in my room?" I swan towards the broken shell and pressed it. There my secrets are hidden. For them to speak again, I cancelled the magic.

"Liah, Are you sure about this? Humans are dangerous." James said.

I sighed and looked at him. I reached for his face and cares it.

"Oww. My sweet James, you are also going with me remember? So I'm sure it will be safe."

1..2..3..

"Stop!" Marie and Harden shouted.

I chuckled and swim to my closet to prepare the things that I needed. James and Harden are both sons of Duke Khelpin, inshort their are twins, but both of them don't have the same eye color. James have green eyes while Harden have violet eyes.

*knock knock

"Sister Liah, can I come in?"

Oh, my little brother is here. I quickly hide the things related to human realm. I glwared at James and Harden to keep quiet while my little brother is here.

"You can come in now, Cabel."

The door opened showing my cute little brother's chubby cheeks. I open my hands wide and smiled.

"Come here Cabel. Greet your sister a happy birthday"

He swimed towards me and embraced me. Uwu my little Cabel is so cute.

"Happy Birthday! Sister Liah. This is my gift for you" He showed me a small shell. I opened it and saw a shell necklace with a pearl inside.

"Oh, thankies little Cabel let me give my welcome gift to you" I hugged him tight and poured him into kisses.

"Wahh! James! Harden! Marie! Help me!" He pleaded to my friends.

I glared to them while obviously saying 'Don't help him'.

"Sorry Prince Cabel, we can't." They bowed and chuckled.

I was going to continue cuddling Cabel when someone knocked on the door. I permitted them to come in. It was the royal merMaids. I let go of Cabel.

"See you later, sister Liah" He quickly swimed to get out of my room. I looked at James and Harden and signaled them to go outside.

The merMaids started designing my tail ang hair while Marie was focused in my make-up. After many years( insert sarcasm here) they are done. I looked at myself in the mirror. My brown hair whose highlights are quite seducting, falling into my waist and my tail who was glistening in red pearls.I looked really pretty, not like my past self. I chuckled.

*knock knock

"Its Harden, Princess. We need to escort you to the banquet hall already"

I signaled the merMaids to open the door. I swimed outside and saw James and Harden is bowing down. I told them to raise their heads and escort me to the hall.

"Crown Princess Princian Merliah Von Artacti is now entering the hall" The merguard announced.

The doored open and showed me a coral reef themed banquet. My favorite, I mentally chuckled. I bowed infort of mother and father.

"Can I have this dance, my lovely daughter?" My father asked me to dance with him.

"Ofcourse father." I smiled and accepted his dance offer. We danced in the center of the hall, Father talked about how beautifull I looked like and how I looked exactly like Mother who is dancing with Brother Shun right now. We also talked about how I found out that Brother Kim is the spy from the opposing faction and I explained to him, well except the part I found it because I was the one who wrote this novel. The dance ended, so I rested in my throne for a while until Brother Shun showed up.

"Sister! Here's my gift for you" He showed me a reflection of a mansion in human realm.

I looked at him in surprise, he just shurged it.

"How do you buy that mansion, brother?" I curiously asked him.

He begin telling me about how he saved a human duke's son in the trench and as a reward they gifted him this mansion that was beside the ocean. I hugged him and offered thanks. After that, he swimed towards his fiance, James and Harden's older sister. They are inlove.

So after a long party night, the banquet is over and here I am now laying in my bed. What a wonderfull day, I suppose I didn't need to find that 13 knights after all.

I fall asleep.
