𝐊𝐔𝐑𝐎𝐎 𝐓𝐄𝐓𝐒𝐔𝐑Ō was a third-year student at Nekoma High. He was the captain and one of the starting middle blockers for the Boys' Volleyball Team.

Kuroo is noted to be tall and lean with broad shoulders, well-built arms, and a muscular frame. He has narrow, hazel colored (grey in the manga) eyes with cat-like pupils that make him appear sly and intimidating. His black hair is naturally messy and spikes upwards due to his bed head. He also has a fringe on his right side that partially covers his eye. As a result of his peculiar hairstyle, he is occasionally called "Rooster Head".
Kuroo is often seen wearing a black shirt, red sweatpants, and the Nekoma High jacket. During official matches, he wears the Nekoma uniform numbered with the number 1.

𝐁𝐎𝐊𝐔𝐓𝐎 𝐊Ō𝐓𝐀𝐑Ō Bokuto was a third-year student at Fukurōdani Academy. He played on the volleyball team as the ace and captain. He was acknowledged as one of the top five aces in the country, barely missing the top three.

Bokuto has round, golden-colored eyes and spiky white-grey hair with black streaks; certain sections of it are done up as if to vaguely conform to that of an animal, strongly amplifying the uncanny resemblance he bears to a horned owl. He has a solid and muscular build. However, his physical appearance in the anime is considerably thinner, less athletic, and muscular.
Unlike most volleyball players, Bokuto wears knee pads that go up to his thighs, instead of simply ending above his knee.

Akaashi has short, messy black hair and blue eyes with thin pupils and slightly thick eyebrows; in some official art, his eyes appear to be green, but in others, they are more blue-colored. He tends to wear an emotionless or slightly exasperated expression a great majority of the time but is shown to smile occasionally given the circumstance.
He makes his debut at the beginning of the Tokyo summer training camp wearing a navy T-shirt with a light aqua sports bib on top, the number 5 printed in black, and a pair of white shorts. His shoes are white with yellow details, and he doesn't appear to be wearing kneepads during official and practice games.
When dressed in his school uniform, he wears a light grey blazer, white dress shirt, and black trousers. His shirt is neatly tucked into the waistband, and his blue and white stripped tie is knotted neatly.

Tsukishima is very tall and has an incredibly slim build for a volleyball player. Despite being a first-year, he is the tallest player on the volleyball team, standing at 190.1 cm. He has short blond hair, pale skin, thin eyebrows, and golden-brown eyes. He is often seen with a frown or a condescending smirk on his face.
After joining the Karasuno volleyball team, Tsukishima wears the standard Karasuno volleyball uniform back) during matches. He also wears knee pads and white volleyball shoes with green details. He is also the only player on the Karasuno team who wears glasses. and also Tsukishima began wearing prescription sports glasses that were given to him by his brother.
Outside of matches and practice, Tsukishima wears a black gakuran, the Karasuno male uniform. He is usually seen with white headphones around his neck. The brand of these headphones seems to be "Somy", which is a play on the real name brand "Sony." He has been seen wearing various shirts with crescent moons on them, which plays on his name "Tsukishima" with tsuki meaning "moon".

Kiyoko is a girl of average height with shoulder-length black hair that she tucks behind on the left side while the rest hangs on the right side with a single small hair piece hanging in the middle. She has grey eyes with visible long eyelashes, a distinct mole located on the lower left side of her chin and she wears square-rimmed glasses with pink rims and bridge.
She is most commonly described as an extremely attractive, albeit "erotic" girl who would often garner a lot of attention from both male and female students; including from other school teams. Because of her appearance, Karasuno High is generally known as the team with the beautiful manager.
Prior to her first appearance, she is seen wearing a white tracksuit with a single periwinkle stripe on both the sleeves of her jacket and on her sweatpants. Afterwards, she is most commonly seen to wear the Karasuno's volleyball club uniform from then on. Outside of club activities, Kiyoko is seen wearing a pair of black tights with her school uniform, regardless of the season. This is mainly due to hiding the scars that she received from her days as a hurdle jumper.
