1. Mitsuri is Exceptionally Strong Since her Childhood

When Mitsuri was born, she was an adorable yet normal girl. But as she grew up, Mitsuri began to notice an unnatural growth. She ate way more than her siblings, and her hair changed to unnatural colors.
Mitsuri has also been physically way stronger than the average human since she was little. And because of that, she was feared and even often deemed as a freak by others.
She also had been rejected during a marriage interview when she was 17. Therefore, she decided to cut and dye her hair to look like a normal girl.
2. She Possesses a Superhuman Muscle Composition

Mitsuri's muscles are significantly
stronger than the regular human.
Despite her slender figure, Mitsuri has unbelievable strength & endurance that allow her to maintain her body's structure after taking even the deadliest strikes.
However, to maintain her muscle composition, Mitsuri has to eat a daily intake of food equivalent to three sumo wrestlers.
3. She Uses Love Breathing Techniques

Love Breathing is a breathing style that is based on the emotion of love. It forms a combination of mid to long-ranged attacks that utilize the user's flexibility, dexterity, agility, and speed.
Love Breathing complements Mitsuri really well as it maximizes the potential of her muscles, granting her tremendous strength without making her physically big.
Since this breathing style relies on her body's special composition, Love Breathing is a technique that can only be used by Mitsuri.
4. The Creator of Love Breathing

Mitsuri learned Flame Breathing when
she was training with Rengoku Kyojuro,
yet she was unable to get a grasp of this technique. During the training process, she eventually decided to create her own technique and came up with the Love Breathing Style, which she adapted from the Flame Breathing style.

Unlike most Demon Slayers who use standard katanas, Mitsuri uses a thin, flexible, long whip-like sword. Due to the structure of the sword, Mitsuri is the only one who can use this weapon effectively given her superhuman flexibility.
With this katana, Mitsuri can use techniques faster than Tengen Uzui.
Her whip katana also has a distinct look with its pink color and the 4 leaf clover- shaped hilt.

As shown in both the anime and the manga, Mitsuri is an affectionate and emotional character. She can be shy at times, but when she sees someone doing something that impresses her, she will compliment them and show her affection for them.

Because of her personality, she gets along with anyone. She's close with every Hashira.
7. Gets Along Really Well with Several Hashira

Shortly after joining the Demon Slayer Corps, Mitsuri immediately became popular due to her friendly nature. She began her training with Rengoku Kyojuro, who helped her create a new technique.
She also gets along really well with well with another female Hashira, Shinobu Kocho, and often teaches her how to cook western food.
Mitsuri also loves to talk about cats with Gyomei Himejima.
8. Has Difficulty Finding a Romantic Partner

When it comes to love, lots of men have shown their interest in Mitsuri. Yet she's unable to find a suitable candidate as she's unsure whether the man she marries will stay with her.
The reason is, she only pretends to seem like a weak girl. When the truth unfolds, Mitsuri is afraid that her partner will leave her.
9. Joined the Demon Slayer Corps to Find Love

Disappointed that she's unable to find a suitable bachelor, Mitsuri met Kagaya Ubuyashiki, who told her to avoid fake people and start embracing her strength.
She then decided to join the Demon Slayer Corps and improve her power, before becoming the Love Hashira. However, she remains unable to find a romantic partner.
10. Obtained a Demon Slayer Mark

During her battle against Hantengu, Mitsuri had unconsciously awakened and obtained her Demon Slayer Mark, which is shaped of two upside-down hearts with angel wings on her neck.
When the mark is activated, Mitsuri becomes significantly stronger that she can go up against Upper-Rank Demons that require at least three Hashira to
defeat.
This shows that her powers know no limit.

1. An Insect Breathing Style User

Insect Breathing is a Breathing Style that mimics insects, specifically their lethal sting and movements. Most of the known techniques of Insect Breathing include stabbing and making cuts with a sword coated with a special wisteria flower-based poison to inflict damage on the targets.

The users of the Insect Breathing Style also visualize themselves seemingly manifesting insects (such as butterflies) when unleashing the techniques.
2. She created Insect Breathing to Cover Her Flaw

This technique was specifically designed by Shinobu Kocho to offset her lack of physical strength to cut off a demon's head. Therefore, she's the only one who can use this technique effectively as it requires a unique katana with a needle- like tip, which appearance and functions also resemble that of an insect sting.
3. Uses a Unique Nichirin Katana to Inject Poison

Shinobu wields a modified Nichirin katana as her main weapon. This katana doesn't have the usual blade and is replaced by a rod with a needle-like tip that resembles an insect's stinger. This weapon is designed for the injection of wisteria poison into demons.
Shinobu also modified the sheath and uses it as a portable poison mixer and loader.
4. Has an unusual method to kill demons

Unlike most of the strong characters in Kimetsu no Yaiba, Shinobu doesn't cut the head off a demon to defeat them. Shinobu injects the demon with a highly potent poison that she applied on the tip of her weapon.
5. Her Body Contains a Certain Amount of Wisteria Poison

To help her defeat Upper-Rank Demons, Shinobu has altered her body to contain a certain dose of wisteria poison. She managed to absorb highly concentrated poison over the period of a year and it had merged with the cell structure of her body - including blood, internal organs, down to her nails.

Although Shinobu isn't as talented as the other Hashira when it comes to combat, she makes up for this shortcoming by being an expert in the medical and pharmaceutical fields that allows her to concoct various deadly poisons using wisteria flowers.
She creates poisons that can be used to kill her targets in seconds - and even weakening Upper-Rank Demons.
Shinobu can also create poisons that are deadly towards demons yet with minimum effect to her own body.

Shinobu is one of the friendliest Hashira as she always smiles regardless of the situation she finds herself in. Shinobu also loves to tease her colleagues, especially Giyuu Tomioka, the Water Hashira.
8. Her Personality Changed After the Death of Her Sister

As a child, Shinobu was outspoken and often brash. She also easily lost her temper - and this was shown when Kanae tried to save Kanao Tsuyuri.
But after the death of her sister, Shinobu began to behave more like Kanae and developed her positive attitude and mannerisms to control her temper.
Despite her relaxed, outgoing demeanor, it's all just a facade as Shinobu actually has a deep hatred towards demons after losing her sister.

9. She Replaced Her Sister's Role as the Hashira

Shinobu's older sister, Kanae Kocho, was the Flower Hashira before she was replaced by Shinobu. Kanae was a kind- hearted and easy-going girl.
Kanae was killed in a battle against the second-highest Upper-Rank Demon, Doma, after sustaining fatal injuries.
10. One of the Fastest Hashira

Shinobu possesses superhuman speed and reflexes. She can dodge demons' attacks and strike them before their brain can even register her movements. Due to her exceptional speed, Shinobu often appears as if she's teleporting.
Her insane speed also surprised an Upper-Rank Demon Doma - who claimed that she's the fastest Hashira that he had ever met.

1. Nezuko's Family May Come From A Powerful Lineage

What makes Nezuko so special from other demons could be the fact that her family comes from a long line of sword wielders who can master the Breathe of the Sun style. When Nezuko's Demon Art charges up Tanjiro's sword, it turns red just like the first Breathe of the Sun user many centuries ago. Breathe of the Sun is the original and the most powerful breathe style in Demon Slayer.
There are many clues in the story that would suggest that the Kamado family is direct descendants of the first Breathe of the Sun user. Nezuko isn't like other demons, which is how she was given the name "The Chosen Demon." The reason behind this is because unlike other demons, she can actually walk in the sunlight without getting burned.

This also explains why Muzan is after her, he wants to devour her in order to gain the ability to walk in the daylight. Muzan has been looking for centuries of a demon that can conquer the sunlight. After Muzan discovers Nezuko's ability, he decides to change his plans and pursue her for himself. He believes that by devouring her, Muzan can also be able to walk freely into the sunlight.
4. Her Birthday Is December 28th

Revealed on the official Japanese Demon Slayer Twitter page, Nezuko's birthday is December 28th, making her zodiac sign a Capricorn. Capricorns are Earth signs, ruled by the planet Saturn, and their symbol is the horned goat.
Capricorns are said to be ambitious, practical, and extremely disciplined- a personality trait that helps Nezuko keep in touch with her humanity and makes her refuse to hurt or devour human beings. Interestingly, her brother Tanjiro's zodiac sign is Cancer, her complete opposite. Despite this, the two signs are highly compatible.
5. Nezuko's Demon Form Has A Berserk State

Nezuko takes her demon transformation a step further when she goes into berserk mode. We see horns come out of her forehead and vine markings wrapped around her body. She is at her most powerful in this form but her demon side starts to take over and she would need human blood for nourishment.

6. Nezuko's Demon Art Can Enhance A Sword

Nezuko's Demon Art allows her to use her blood, as grenades where she can explode them to her will that harm any demon. Her power can also be used to increase the strength of a Nichirin blade, which is later shown in the manga. We see her use her ability on Tanjiro's sword turning it from black into red.
By doing this, it increases the energy of Tanjiro's fire sword techniques. It helps Tanjiro whenever he's in quite a bind against his foes. With both Nezuko's power and Tanjiro's sword skills, it's apparent that these two are a powerful duo together.
7. Nezuko's Name Is Connected To Her Home

The Kamado family lives in the snowy mountains at the start of the series. The name Nezuko has a deeper meaning and a strong connection to where her family is from. In Japanese, the partial translation of her name is actually a flower simply known as the snowball flower. Those flowers can be found in the winter, which is the season we mainly see during the series.
So her name is pretty much related to the snowy mountains where the Kamado family lives. Flower-based names are typical in Japan but it's perfect for this show to display where Nezuko came from.
8. Nezuko's Normal Size Is Very Petite

One of Nezuko's incredible demon powers is being able to adjust her size. From growing in strength and size when fighting in battle to getting down to travel size so she can fit comfortably inside the box her brother carries, Nezuko's abilities make her either intimidating and a challenge to fight or cute and adorable enough to squeeze.
Nezuko's normal, default height is right at 5 feet, or 153 centimeters. This makes her smaller than most of the other Demon Slayer characters in the series.
