He threw the jade on ground with as much force his weak body could muster. The delicate jade shattered to pieces as soon as it hit the floor.
A tiny wisp of light emerged from the once beautiful locket, illuminating the dark room.
With the sound that was made in breaking the jade and this light, someone or others should have come to check on him. But why would they? After all they were busy with the Emperor's wedding. Who would care about the disposed Empress?
All they wished for him was to die in his chambers.
The wisp of light took the shape of a ball, floating above his head.
" What is it that you desire?"

Revenge. Can you give me that?
" I can grant anything. But it comes with a price."

I don't care about the price.
" Your wish is granted. The price will be taken right after you finish with your task."
The light grew until it fully covered Jungkook's body and then it disappeared. The room returned to dark with a lifeless body on the bed.

The wedding ceremony had just ended. The bride was lead to the chambers while the groom, the emperor stayed behind on formalities.
A guard quietly approached the Emperor. They moved away a little from the crowd.

What is it?
This guard was the only guard stationed outside the chambers of Ex-Empress Jeon Jungkook. The only duty assigned to him was to report if the person inside is dead.

A few stabs later the Emperor's chest looked like a sieve, and he passed away painfully.

With that Jungkook vanished from the room in a puff of smoke . Soon the guards entered the chambers to find the new Empress stabbing the Emperor.
To say her life after that was hell, would be an understatement.
